One day after scoring a season high nine runs in its 9-2 win over Salve Regina, No. 15 Webster bettered that season high by three runs as they scored 12 runs en route to posting a 12-2 win over Ohio Northern in its third game of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational here Sunday morning at Osceola Heritage Park. In Sunday's game, which was called after seven innings due to the 10-run mercy rule, Webster scored in five of the six innings it batted, including tallying four runs in both the third and fifth innings against the Polar Bears. Senior rightfielder Nate Tholl tied a career high with three runs, while junior All-American first baseman Kyler Kent, redshirt junior designated hitter A.J. Smith and sophomore shortstop Matt Staker each scored two runs in the win.
Senior Jake Binder of Ithaca spun his best collegiate performance as a Bomber against No. 18 California Lutheran in Thousand Oaks, Calif. as he took a no-hit bid into the ninth inning in Ithaca's 2-0 victory. Binder carried a perfect game into the eighth inning, but a lead-off walk erased that feat. After a double play and strikeout, he had still faced the minimum through eight innings. In the ninth inning, Binder struck out the lead-off batter but then surrendered a single through the right side. He wrapped up the shutout victory with a strikeout and flyout. Binder needed just 100 pitches to maneuver through the Kingsmen lineup and struck out five, to just one walk, and induced 14 groundball outs.
After the offense got rolling to close out the opening weekend against Spalding, Concordia Chicago kept things rolling today against Amherst to begin the six game Florida swing. CUC got things going immediately with a nine run first inning, and cruised to a 13-3 win.
No. 4 Trinity (Texas) finished off a weekend series sweep over Rochester (NY) with a 6-1 win. Ian Hussian (2-2) pitched six shutout innings to start the game for Trinity, giving up just six hits and a pair of walks. Mason Meredith led three Tiger players with multi-hit games, going 3-5 with two RBI and his fifth double of the season. Dalys Binder had his third multi-hit game of the series, picking up two hits that included his first home run of the year. Blake Johnson went 2-4 with two walks to reach base four times on the day, scoring two runs and driving in another.
Corsair sophomore reliever Max Penton submitted six brilliant shutout innings out of the bullpen to anchor down UMass Dartmouth's nine-run scoring outburst to propel the Blue and Gold to a 9-6 come-from-behind-win over No. 14 Keystone at Lake Myrtle Field. The righty yielded three hits and two walks, striking out four on 91 pitches for 58 strikes.

Wheaton (Mass.) overcame a 1-3 deficit with runs in four consecutive innings to defeat New England region rival No. 7 UMass-Boston, 5-3. Senior Joe Bongiovanni got the start and the win today for the Lyons, pitching six complete, giving up three runs on four hits, while striking out five and walking just two. Patrick Arter collected his third save of the season, closing out the ninth by retiring the side. Jared Sharkey finished the game 2-for-3 from the plate, which included a solo home run down the left field line. Sophomore Brody Ashley had a 2-for-4 day after safely after dramatically beating out two throws to first.
Brian Corporan hit two homers and drove in three runs and Isiah Hudson earned a save with three innings of one-hit scoreless relief with seven strikeouts as nationally 16th-ranked Cortland rallied from an early four-run deficit to defeat host Stevens Institute, 7-4. Cortland won its third straight game to improve to 6-4-1 on the season. Corporan finished 3-for-4 with a walk, two solo homers and a double in five plate appearances. Dan Schweitzer was 1-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks and two runs, Wyatt Myers went 2-for-5 with a double, and Scott Giordano finished 1-for-3 with an RBI double and two walks. Three Cortland relievers combined to allow only one run on three hits and two walks over the final seven innings. Mitchell Cavanagh gave up a run in two innings on one hit with two strikeouts and two walks. Ryan Flansburg started the fifth and gave up a hit and a hit batsman with one strikeout in two innings. He earned his first win as Cortland took the lead for good in the seventh while he was the pitcher of record.
Senior right-hander Nick Roth earned a complete-game victory in the opener, and junior Mike Nickles went 5 for 7 on the day with five runs and five RBI, as sixth-ranked Randolph-Macon swept an ODAC doubleheader at Guilford. In game a 7-3 game one win, Roth (1-0) went the distance in the opener, his third career complete game. He scattered nine hits and allowed three runs with no walks and nine strikeouts. Junior Michael Zubovich was the benefit of a 19 run offense, going six innings in his start with seven hits, two runs, no walks and nine strikeouts in raising his record to 2-0. RMC won 19-2.
Texas Lutheran rallied from a 3-0 deficit to post a 5-4 win over Millikin and completed a three-game series sweep at Katt-Isbel Field. TLU, ranked ninth in the last D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25, improved to 10-4 with the non-conference victory. Millikin, out of Decatur, Ill., dropped to 1-6. Bulldog third baseman Nick Gardoni hit a two-run single in the sixth to give TLU a 5-3 lead. Gardoni's base hit was part of a three-run sixth for the Bulldogs. TLU senior right-hander Dylan Murrel did not allow an earned run over his five innings of work. He struck out three and allowed three hits and two walks. With the tying run at second and the go-ahead run at first in the ninth, Murrell recorded a strikeout looking to end the game. Murrell improved to 2-1 with the win in relief.
The walk-off kings were back at it earlier this afternoon as No. 12 Chapman earned their third walk-off victory of the season with a 3-2 win over the visiting Centenary College Gents. Freshman Brad Shimabuku came up with the clutch single in the bottom of the ninth to send the Panthers running onto the field in celebration. With junior Joe Jimenez in scoring position and one out, Shimabuku stepped up to face the Gents' reliever. The rookie soared one into center field, driving Jimenez home to end the game and earn his third RBI of the season.
Piedmont walked off for a 6-5 win on Tyler Burdett's two-run single in the bottom of the ninth against William Peace at Loudermilk Field. The Lions (12-4) struck for single runs in the second and third before William Peace (3-9) responded with a grand-slam in the top of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead. Trailing, 5-3, heading into the bottom of the ninth, Piedmont took advantage of two walks and a hit by pitch, setting the stage for Burdette's heroics to give PC its second walk-off win of the season. David Craft improved to 3-0 on the season after pitching two scoreless innings in relief.
