Junior Frank LoGiudice tossed a complete game while also helping himself at the plate as he was 3-for-3 with two RBI as Kean topped William Paterson by the final of 2-1 in the opening round of the NJAC Tournament. LoGiudice (7-2) scattered seven singles allowing no earned run while striking out six and walking three. The Pioneers (25-14) pushed one across in the top of the first as Carson Weis used a groundball out to score Steven DiGirolamo who led off the game reaching on an error. ean (29-12) answered right back in the bottom of the same frame as Mike Perone Jr. walked with one out. He moved to second and third on wild pitches and LoGuidice singled him home for the 1-1 score. The Cougars pushed across what would be the winning run in their half of the sixth as Perone again walked with one out. He moved to second on an interference call at first base and LoGuidice again found the outfield to drive him home.

Three hitters had multi-hit games and Andrew Rowan threw a complete game as the No. 17 TCNJ opened the NJAC Tournament with a 9-2 victory over Ramapo on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions entered the tournament as the fourth seed while Ramapo was seeded third. Danny Borup's three-hit day led the way for the TCNJ offense. Gary Otten and Matt Giacose each had a pair of knocks.

After squeaking into the NJAC Playoffs by winning three of their last four games, the Scarlet Raiders earned the #6 seed and scheduled a date with #1 Rowan. The Profs bested the Scarlet Raiders in the regular season but Rutgers-Newark flipped the script this afternoon and stunned the #1 seeded Rowan with a 6-4 win to advance to the winner's bracket on Friday, May 3 in Union, NJ. Senior pitcher Luis Rojas (2-5) got the start on the bump for Rutgers University-Newark (16-17) and pitched a complete game while striking out four batters. John Klimowich led the squad with a pair of RBI while going 1-for-2 from the plate while Luke Magliaro registered the lone multi-hit game finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Making its first postseason appearance since 2010, fourth-seeded Eastern Nazarene topped fifth-seeded Southern Vermont 4-2 in the opening round of the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament Tuesday evening at the New England Baseball Complex for the program's first postseason victory since 2006. The Lions improve to 20-17 on the season with the win and advance to the double-elimination stages of the NECC Tournament. The Mountaineers wrap up the spring with a 14-17-1 overall record. Anthony Esposito posted two hits and two runs scored on the night. Connor Simpson finished with a pair of base knocks, one RBI, and one run scored. Matthew Urena landed two hits and crossed the dish once. Josue Basilis collected two base hits while Zachary Carmody and Steven Pesce both tallied one hit and one RBI.
A seven-run second inning helped guide Washington & Jefferson to a 10-6 victory over regional rival La Roche College in a non-conference game Tuesday afternoon. The win improves the Presidents to 26-10 overall while the Redhawks drop to 24-12. The win gives W&J a three-game sweep of the season series with La Roche. The late-season matchup pitted two regionally ranked teams in the Mideast Region. W&J (Presidents' Athletic Conference) and La Roche (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) entered with a combined 35-4 record in conference play. The two teams have already secured first place regular season finishes and hosting rights for their respective upcoming conference tournaments.
Otterbein was forced to settle for a doubleheader split with visiting John Carroll at Fishbaugh Field, putting the Cardinals in a tough position heading into the final weekend of Ohio Athletic Conference competition. The Cardinals, winning the opener against JCU before dropping the rematch, now stand 18-16 on the year and 8-8 within the league standings. They are currently tied with Marietta for fifth place, one game back of fourth and two games behind the Blue Streaks (23-13, 10-8 OAC) in third. The top-four teams qualify for the upcoming OAC Tournament. Otterbein will need to win both games at Marietta on Saturday afternoon, and hope for help from John Carroll and Ohio Northern. JCU will go Friday at Baldwin Wallace, which will be playing for the regular-season title.
Keystone jumped out to a 13-1 lead on Tuesday and held off a ninth-inning rally by visiting Immaculata to win 13-9 in non-conference action at Christy Mathewson Field. With the win, the Giants improve to 19-12 and will head to Susquehanna University tomorrow at 4 p.m. The Mighty Macs fall to 20-15. Keystone finished with 17 hits as senior Chris Panzarella went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and two doubles. Junior Ryan Callahan turned in a 3-for-4 day while senior Dakota McFadden went 2-for-5 with three RBI. Junior Nick Carlini and senior Ronald Medina both went 2-for-4 with one RBI while senior Mohammed Hussein and junior Joe Fichera each drove in two runs.

Pitts-Bradford closed out its 2019 season Tuesday with a road Allegheny Mountian Collegiate Conference doubleheader at Medaille. Pitt-Bradford (16-14, 9-9 AMCC) took game one in comeback fashion 5-4 before putting together an offensive explosion to take game two 14-3. "Fun to watch the guys go out and sweep on the road," Head Coach Zach Foster said. "Game one, they battled with their backs against the wall and grinded the win out. Game two, it was great to see our bats come alive. I'm proud of our guys." In the second game, Austin Parent and Matt Hair knocked four hits each, including two doubles from Parent and a solo homer from Hair. Tyler Hoops, Samuel Dreistadt and Sawyer Packard had three hits each as well to back a strong outing from Alex Miles on the mound.
Ithaca extended its winning streak to eight straight games with a 9-3 non-conference victory over St. Lawrence on Tuesday evening at Ononodaga Community College. Ithaca, now 27-7 on the season, scored all nine of its runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. St. Lawrence is 7-26 on the year. Senior Emmett Dunn picked up his sixth win of the season in seven innings of work. Dunn allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with four strikeouts. Senior Christian LaLomia tossed the final two innings of relief and struck out one batter. Adam Gallagher and Cam Fuoti both went 3-for-5 in the win, while Garrett Callaghan drove in three runs with two hits.
Shenandoah ran its baseball winning streak to seven games Tuesday evening with a 7-6 non-league victory over Elizabethtown. Pinch hitter Wyatt Potter had a bases loaded single with no outs in the bottom of the ninth to lift the Hornets (25-11) to the win over E-Town (12-25). Potter hit his ball to the base of the wall in left-center, allowing Jamie Naill to trot home with the game-winning run. The Blue Jays had brought in an extra infielder in an attempt to cut down the run at the plate, but Potter made the move academic by lifting the long fly ball over left-fielder Dylan Everly's (playing in left-center) head. The game-winning hit made a winner of senior Brandon McKenzie (2-0), the ninth SU pitcher on the night. McKenzie had given up two runs in the top of the frame but got the win as Shenandoah got its first walkoff win of the season.
Mitchell scored seven runs in the eighth inning, all with two outs, to rally past Coast Guard Academy by a 14-5 final on Tuesday afternoon in the regular season finale for each program. Mitchell improved to 32-6 overall and tied the school record for the most wins in season. The Mariners also won their 18th straight game and went 19-1 in the month of April. The Bears finished the season at 16-19 overall. Behind the outstanding pitching of PJ Gravalec, who allowed just one unearned run on three hits while walking one and fanning five, Coast Guard took a 3-1 lead into the eighth before Mitchell grabbed the momentum. The Mariners loaded the bases with two outs and tied the game on consecutive ground balls to third base; both times the runner from second was called safe at third, allowing runs to score.
