| Senior right-hander Braeden Barr threw the Yellowjackets' second complete game of the day, limiting top-seeded St. Scholastica to eight hits as the No.-4 seed UW-Superior topped the Saints, 6-3, in the UMAC Tournament Thursday. No. 25 Ithaca posted an impressive 5-0 win over Utica in the first game of the Empire 8 Conference Baseball Tournament at Freeman Field behind eight shutout innings on the mound from senior Emmett Dunn. Dunn finished the game with six strikeouts and three hits allowed for his seventh win of the year. With the win, the Bombers are now 29-7 and advance to tomorrow's semifinal. Utica will play in an elimination game later this afternoon.

La Roche Redhawks began their AMCC Title defense with a victory as starting pitcher Travis Holman shut down Mt. Aloysius 5-1 in their opening game of the AMCC tournament. Holman went the distance, allowing just one run and no earned runs while striking out seven. Brandon Nania homered and drove in three. Troy Kifer hit in two while Jonathan Spina scored twice. La Roche will play Penn State Behrend, a 9-1 winner over Penn State Altoona.
Back on the diamond for the first time in 11 days, No. 12 Coe showed no rust as they delivered 19 hits in a 10-3 win over Dubuque Thursday evening on the first day of the American Rivers Conference Tournament at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids. Dubuque and Luther won the early games in the tournament. The Spartans doubled up Central 6-3 and Luther run-ruled Loras 11-1 in seven innings. Buena Vista was a 1-0 winner over Luther in a game that lasted 1:50.
Senior utility ace Chandler Dippman did it all – hit, pitch, and field – while he had plenty of support from a strong all-around team effort in the 15th-ranked College of Wooster's 10-4 win over Wabash , which opened the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament at V.A. Memorial Stadium on Thursday. In Thursday's nightcap, Wooster ran away from 16th-ranked Denison University, 19-3. Wooster (26-10) is now in Friday's championship round. Allegheny defeated Wabash 4-1 to eliminate last year's champion and advance to play Denison with a spot in the championship round on the line. Denison was a 5-4 winner against Allegheny.
Keuka lost the opening game of the 2019 North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament to Wells 5-0 at Kuhl Field on Thursday afternoon. Keuka (25-15) drops to the consolation bracket and Wells (18-20) advances to the winner's bracket when the tournament resumes on Saturday. A monster day from senior Tyler DiPatri led Penn State Abington to a 20-4 win over Penn State Berks on Thursday afternoon. The Nittany Lions set a new benchmark with the largest margin of victory in a NEAC Tournament game in program history and improved to 22-15 for the season. They play Wells for a spot in the title game.
The 2019 MIAC Playoffs got underway on Thursday from CHS Field in St. Paul and the top two seeds in the field came away with victories. No. 1 Gustavus took down No. 4 Saint Mary's, 5-2, in the first game of the day before No. 2 Saint John's topped No. 3 St. Olaf, 6-3. Gustavus and Saint Mary's went four scoreless innings before the regular season MIAC champs broke away with three runs in the fifth to take a lead they would never give up. Saint John's power hitter Joey Stock belted a three-run shot over the right-field wall in the bottom of the first inning to set the tone early for a 6-3 Johnnie victory over St. Olaf
Junior catcher Mike Buckley belted three home runs and drove in four runs to lift the Stars past the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks, 6-5, in the opening game of the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. In the process, Buckley set the NACC Baseball Tournament single-game record for home runs and put the Stars into a matchup with the second-seeded Aurora Spartans. Against Aurora, the Stars, managing just three hits in a 8-2 loss and will play the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons in an elimination game on Friday. No. 1 Concordia Chicago took on the host Concordia Wisconsin Falcons as lefthander Adam Gregory stole the show for CUC, throwing seven innings of shutout baseball to lead to Cougars to a 4-0 win.
The 2019 OAC Tournament kicked off in true postseason fashion bright and early Thursday morning, as Otterbein prevailed with a narrow 2-1 victory over host and top-seeded Baldwin Wallace at Fisher Field. The Cardinals, seeded No. 4 in the four-team event, reaped a pitching gem from junior Collin Hoffman as the stoic right-hander delivered a complete-game effort in a battle of arguably the top-two pitchers in the league. He threw 113 pitches, struck out six batters, walked none, and improved to a 6-0 record this spring.

Grove City rallied from a 9-2 deficit in the seventh inning Thursday afternoon to earn a 15-11 victory over Waynesburg in the semifinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament at Washington & Jefferson's Ross Memorial Park. The win vaults No. 2 seed Grove City (27-13) into Friday's winner's bracket final against No. 1 seed W&J. Grove City also matched the program record for single-season victories with Thursday's comeback triumph. It's the largest comeback in the PAC Tournament since May 9, 2009, when W&J rallied from an 8-0 deficit to defeat Thiel, 19-18. W&J won easily over Bethany 12-0.
Spurred by another postseason comeback, host Adrian earned another appearance in the championship round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament with a 5-3 win over second-seeded Hope. Alma defeated the Albion College Britons, 8-7, in the fourth game of the MIAA Tournament. The Scots advance to the next round while the Britons have been eliminated from the postseason. Alma will take on Hope to decide Adrian's opponent in the MIAA title round.
Corsair senior Chris Wood submitted a 3-for-5 performance at the dish as part of a career-high five RBI to lead fifth seeded UMass Dartmouth to a 12-9 Little East tournament victory over sixth seeded Castleton in the first elimination game of the 2019 postseason at Ed Flaherty Field on Thursday afternoon. Junior Nick Andrews went a perfect 4-for-4 with a pair of runs scored as part of the Corsairs' 13-hit outing. The ECSU Warriors' pitching combination of seniors Nick Rascati and Cole Ogorzalek limited the tournament's top-seed to just one run on four hits as they staved off elimination in the second game of the day. The Warriors defeated Southern Maine 4-1. With the loss to USM, UMass-Boston, a 6-3 winner over Rhode Island, is the lone undefeated team left in the LEC tournament.
Transylvania unleashed a season-high 21 hits to open up the 2019 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, but an eight-run second inning by the Defiance Yellow Jackets proved pivotal as Defiance won 16-8 over the Pioneers in the tournament opener on Thursday afternoon at Art Nehf Field. Riley Willbur led a group of four Pioneers who each tallied three hits or more on the afternoon. Trey Medford went 3-for-6, Wade Lopiccolo went 3-for-5 with his fourth triple of the year, and Devyn Wilson-Cowan went 3-for-5 with two runs. Of Willbur's five hits, three were doubles.
Putting up a pair of five-run innings, North Central College (Ill.) rolled to a 14-6 win over Illinois Wesleyan University in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin opener at Zimmerman Stadium. North Central (29-11) advances in the winner's bracket of the tournament and will square off with Millikin on Friday. Millikin posted two wins at Lee Pfund Stadium in Carol Stream, Illinois. After opening the day with a 10-3 win over North Park, the third seeded Big Blue knocked off the second seed Augustana 14-1 in seven innings. Illinois Wesleyan topped Wheaton (Ill.) 4-3 in 10 innings to open their tournament.
