AURORA, NY – For the first time in program history the Penn State Abington baseball team was crowned the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament Champions and will continue their season in the NCAA Tournament.

Abington earned their championship after being the highest remaining seed left in the tournament after Sunday's contests were washed out because of the heavy rain. The Nittany Lions run started with a 20-4 win over their rival Penn State Berks at their home field at Alverthorpe Park. Yesterday Abington earned a 4-2 victory over the fourth seed Wells to place them in the championship game.

For his great tournament on the mound and at the plate sophomore Jaden Himmelreich was named the 2019 NEAC Baseball Tournament MVP.  Himmelreich earned a crucial win on the mound against Wells pitching a complete game, and earned three hits, with three runs and an RBI at the plate.

As the representative from the NEAC the Nittany Lions will find out who they will face tomorrow after the NCAA DIII selection show at 12:00 p.m.
