Following the unexpected end to the 2020 season, it was time for the second All-Decade team of the century. Three teams and honorable mentions were assembled from the list of All-Americans, All-Region and record setting players who played at least two years in the decade. Following the blueprint in compiling the previous All-Decade team, eighty-two players were selected for the 2010's All-Decade team.
The D3baseball.com 2010's All-Decade team includes eight players named as D3baseball.com Player of the Year and six of the D3baseball.com Pitchers of the Year in the decade. Southern Maine placed the most players (five) and two brothers (Sam and Jake Dexter). Birmingham-Southern was represented by four, including two first team selections as twelve programs overall had multiple players on the list. A total of 56 schools were represented.
The first All-Decade team was unveiled in 2010 with two teams and honorable mentions, created to showcase the best of the first decade in the 21st century. More than fifty players were named to the 2000-2010 All-Decade team where Jay Coakley, a four-time All-American catcher from Marietta and 2001 Player of the Year, headlined the D3baseball.com 2000's All-Decade team. Joining Coakley on the first team are three more Players of the Year, Drew Caravella, Ohio Wesleyan (2002), Vince Mancuso, UW-Oshkosh (2003), and Kurt Yacko, Chapman (2007). The D3baseball.com 2000's All-Decade team consists of 52 players and coaches representing the best players in the decade.
