Michael Inman worked 6.0 scoreless innings and the Methodist baseball team upped its win streak to 15 straight games with a 10-1 win at Piedmont on Saturday afternoon.  Inman allowed just two hits and worked around five walks in improving to 3-1 on the season. He struck out one on the day. Four different relievers combined to allow one run on four walks with no hits and three strikeouts over the final 3.0 innings.

Behind some strong pitching, the Hiram posted a doubleheader sweep of Oberlin. In the opening game, Hiram got a dominating performance from senior Nate Weiss. He fired a complete game, giving up just one hit and striking out nine batters to pick up his second win of the season. In the second game, senior J.T. Taylor continued the solid pitching for Hiram, going six innings, giving up two runs and striking out three.

Kenyon split a NCAC doubleheader with Wooster at Mcloskey Field. The Lords lost a close 6-4 decision in game one before enjoying a 6-4 victory in game two.  In the second game, senior Jake Dunn set his second record of the week as he passed Nate Lotze for career hits and recorded his 200th hit on an RBI single in the third.

Washington & Jefferson dropped a 7-3 extra-inning decision in the first game before rallying with a 10-9 win in the nightcap of a conference doubleheader against Westminster. Game one was a back and forth affair until Westminster sealed the victory with four runs in the top of the eighth inning. Game two was more of the same but the Titans fell a run short in their comeback bid.

Christopher Newport and St. Mary's (MD) split a pair of blowout victories, as CNU captured a 13-6 win in game one, followed by a 21-8 win for the Seahawks. In game one Taylor Loudon, broke into the NCAA record book as part of a 7-run fifth inning that lifted CNU over the Seahawks. The Captains led, 2-0, heading into the top of the fifth when Loudon led the inning off with a triple. After the lineup turned over, Loudon was due up again and the sophomore third baseman blistered another shot to left center field for his second triple of the inning. The two three-baggers ties the NCAA record for triples in an inning, as he becomes just the seventh player in Division III history to accomplish the feat.

It was senior day at Wesley and those seniors responded, leading the Wolverines to a sweep of the York Spartans in spectacular fashion. Wesley ran away with the opener in a 17-4 finish while game two went all the way to the final pitch in the bottom of the ninth.

Tommy Bergjans has 313 strikeouts in his Haverford career, surpassing Ursinus' Zeb Engle who had 302 strikeouts from 2006-09.

Haverford was swept in a doubleheader by Dickinson at MacPhail Field. The Red Devils took game one, 3-1 and won 5-4 in 10 innings on a walkoff single by Luke Besse in game two. In game one, Tommy Bergjans struckout 12. With his strikeout of Phil Werner in the first inning, the senior became the Centennial Conference all-time leader in strikeouts. 

Berry captured the season series with Centre after defeating the Colonels, 6-2. Berry tallied 11 hits while not committing any errors. TJ Montgomery picked up his fourth win on the season by going seven strong innings. He allowed both runs for Centre but struck out 7 without walking a batter.

 Endicott remained undefeated in the CCC standings at 8-0 after winning both games of a conference doubleheader with league opponent Nichols, taking game one 13-5 behind an offensive outburst in the middle innings and game two 4-0 as freshman starter Owen Bautze shutout the Bison over seven complete innings.

Freshman Mike Ramirez went 8.0 innings of shutout ball against Rowan, striking out five before the Gothic Knights hung on in the ninth to knock off the Profs, 9-5, on a windy day in Jersey City. Sophomore left fielder Eric Giordano scored twice in game two and extended his two-year on-base streak to 30 consecutive games. It was NJCU's first win over Rowan since April 19, 2009 and its first home win against the Profs since Rowan was known as Glassboro State on April 11, 1992. In game one, Rowan limited NJCU to three hits and Casey Grimes was 4-for-5 with five RBIs including a three-run home run as the Profs prevailed, 7-1.

After dropping the series opener last night, North Central rebounded nicely with an offensive explosion and a pair of outstanding pitching performances, sweeping Illinois Wesleyan, 9-1 in game one, followed by a 8-1 victory in the nightcap. The Cardinals combined for 30 hits on the twin bill, while Bryan Polowy twirled a complete game in the opener and Jake Rone tossed seven shutout innings in game two to secure the series sweep.

Led by solid pitching efforts from sophomore Dillion Healy and senior Joe Palmeri, Manhattanville swept FDU-Florham in a Freedom Conference doubleheader, defeating the Devils by a final score of 8-4 in game one before picking up a 6-3 game two win.

Albion split its Saturday with MIAA rival Kalamazoo with a 2-0 loss in game one and an 8-6 win in game two. The teams split the four game series with two wins and two losses apiece. Albion moved into third place in the MIAA with the doubleheader split. Adrian took over the top spot, sweeping Hope, 3-2 and 8-5. With Alma's sweep of Trine, Alma, Trine, Hope and Calvin are tied for fourth.

Defiance defeated Franklin, 11-10, in walk-off fashion in game one, but fell to the Grizzlies, 13-5, in the second game of a HCAC doubleheader to conclude the three-game series at Craig A. Rutter Field. The final inning was pivotal in both games. Chris Donese delivered on the game-winning base hit to give the Jackets in game one. In game two, Franklin scored nine runs in the top of the ninth inning of the second game to break a 4-4 tie.

Two days after Ripon swept a doubleheader from St. Norbert, the Red Hawks split a pair of games with the Green Knights. Ripon lost Saturday's first game, 5-0, before winning the nightcap, 6-2. The Red Hawks bats were quiet in the first game, recording just four hits, as St. Norbert pitcher Brett Nohr tossed a complete game shutout, striking out four and walking two. It was a different story in game two as the Ripon bats awoke recording 11 hits in the win.

Chance Emlund got his fifth start of the season on the mound for the Stars in game one, tossing eight innings, giving up two earned runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out five.  Emlund improves to a 2-3 with an earned run average of 7.64.
