2020 No-hitters

Brady Leonard and Zach Hollingsworth teamed up for Simpson's first no-hitter since March 27, 2011 to split the series with Bethel on Wednesday February 27th at U.S. Bank Stadium. The duo of Leonard and Hollingsworth combined for five strikeouts and four walks

Sophomore Garrett West tossed a complete game no-hitter, leading Berry to a series sweep of the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels on Saturday February 29th. Berry is now 8-3 overall and 3-0 in league play.  West's no-hitter was the first for a single Berry pitcher since his uncle Shelby West threw a no-hitter against Shorter University in 1999. Shelby West was also a sophomore at the time of his no-hitter. West earned the win in game one, allowing no earned runs and fanning four.

Senior Michael Simmerman threw the fourth no-hitter in team history on Tuesday March 3 and head coach Yogi Lutz earned his 900th career victory in a doubleheader sweep of Finlandia at The Player Development Complex. The Golden Wolves  took game two 25-0 behind Simmerman's 10-strikeout, no-hitter, the fourth in Alvernia history and the first since Chuck Nicholas shut down Wilkes in the opening round of the 2009 MAC Freedom Championships at Bear Stadium.

Ryan Miller threw a no-hitter in the opener as the Benedictine swept visiting Carleton in a doubleheader played in Joliet at DuPage Medical Group Field on Saturday March 7. The Eagles won 10-0 in the two games as both went seven innings. Ryan Miller stole the show in his second start of the season. The senior, who flirted with a perfect game two years ago, retired the first six batters of the game with five groundouts and a strikeout, one of nine in the game . Miller finished with just 84 pitches, retiring the final 15 batters faced

Three Hood College pitchers combined on a seven-inning no-hitter in an 11-0 win over Lancaster Bible in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday March 10th and the Blazers picked up the sweep with an 11-4 win in game two. The no-hitter, the first in program history since Hood started baseball in 2015, was started by Jordan Patterson who pitched the first five innings and struck out five for the win. Kevin Nelson Jr., and David Dinges each threw hitless frames in relief to finish the job. 

Alex Belanger threw a seven-inning no hitter in the second game of a twinbill as the Dean College Bulldogs swept two games in Fleming, N.J. againt St. Elizabeth on Thursday March 12,  Thursday in non-league action. The right handed hurler threw a complete game no-hitter, walking one and striking out four over the course of seven innings.
