Clarks Summit, PA - The Clarks Summit University Athletics Department is excited for the future of the baseball program as Jeremy Hefele has been hired as the next head coach. "Jeremy has a proven record of success in all aspects of coaching and has a passion to be a Christ-centered, positive influence in the lives of student-athletes," remarked Director of Athletics, Wes Uffelman.

Recently, Hefele spent the past three seasons with Colonial States Athletic Conference foe, Carin University, serving in multiple positions. This past season, wearing the "interim" tag, he led the Highlanders to eight conference wins and a berth in the conference tournament. Before taking on the interim spot, Hefele served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Highlanders, a position that he excelled in.

"I was very impressed with his heart for student-athletes and his ability to connect with recruits. Over the past few seasons, Jeremy has learned the ins and outs of recruiting and I have no doubts that he will excel here at CSU and take the program to new heights" added Uffelman.

Hefele has also served as the head coach of the Trenton Generals.

Earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Delaware Valley University, Hefele spent his college career as a pitcher for the Aggies. He tallied 146.2 innings and fanned 92 batters during his four years of action.

Hefele completed his Master's in Business Administration at Cairn University.

Along with being the Head Baseball Coach, Hefele will also serve as the REC Center Supervisor.
