AUBURNDLE, FL – The Bobcats baseball team enjoyed the warm Florida sunshine today with two record breaking games against the Knights of Martin Luther. In game one, Pitt-Greensburg beat the Knights 27-6, scoring the most runs in a single game in school history. Game two was nothing short of spectacular as freshman Nathan Mankoski threw a complete-game no hitter, the first in program history, and struck out 15 batters. The 15 strikeouts are more strikeouts than any Bobcat pitcher has had in a single game. What may be the most impressive thing about both these feats is that the Bobcats did them in two seven-inning games.

The Bobcats jumped out in game one and took a commanding nine-run lead after the top of the first inning. Followed by an eight-run third inning, a six-run fourth inning, and a four-run sixth inning and, well, it was a rough day to be from Martin Luther.

Freshman James Domer accounted for ten of those runs himself as he drove in six and scored four. Mason Boehm also had a good game, going 3-for-3 with three RBI and four runs. Sophomore Jaycob Caseras, who missed all of last season due to injury, went 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored.

Game two was all the freshman pitcher making his first collegiate appearance. Mankoski dazzled the Knights, sending them back to the dugout left and right. The Bobcats were one error away from a perfect game, but will gladly take the program's first no-no.

Pitt-Greensburg will look to carry this momentum into the rest of the week as the team is back on the field tomorrow against former AMCC foe, Medaille. The Bobcats swept the Mavericks in the final series of the season last May.
