SNC's Dubois cycles in losing effort

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College senior infielder Sebastien Dubois hit for the cycle but the Green Knights eventually succumbed 16-12 to Stockton University at the Lake Myrtle Complex.

Dubois finished 5-for-6 with two runs scored and five runs batted in. He doubled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, tripled in the seventh inning and singled again in the eighth inning. Dubois five hits tied a school record for hits in a game.

St. Norbert jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two-run double from Dubois. Stockton answered with two runs in the bottom half. The Green Knights pulled ahead 6-2 with a four-run third, paced by a two-run Dubois home run, an RBI groundout by Huck Sprong and an RBI single by Carson Krumrei. The Ospreys countered with three in bottom half to get back to 6-5.

Stockton scored two runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth to take a 12-6 lead. St. Norbert got two runs in the seventh on a Tommy Sheehan RBI groundout and a Devin Geary RBI single. Stockton made it 13-8 with a run in the seventh. The Green Knights got a ru in the eighth on a bases-loaded walk from Adam Denniston, but the Osprey salted the game away with three runs in the bottom of the eighth. St. Norbert scored three times in the top of the ninth on an RBI groundout by Dubois and run-scoring singles by Trevor Reinhardt and Sheehan.

St. Norbert banged out 20 hits in the contest. In addition to Dubois' five hits, Caden Uhlenbrauck was 3-for-5 with two doubles and three runs scored. Jaden Holgado was 2-for-5 with three runs scored. Geary, Reinhardt and Eric Kramer were all 2-for-4, while Krumrei and Sheehan were both 2-for-5.

Grant Maus took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing four runs in a two-plus inning relief appearance.
