The Hiram Terriers kept it rolling in Fort Myers on Wednesday, winning both games of a doubleheader against Baruch, 4-3 and 12-4, under the scorching sun at Terry Park Field. The first of the two victories came in walk-off fashion, with senior Kyle Adams skying an RBI double to the left-center field gap to win it in the seventh inning. Game two saw the team score all 12 of its runs in the first three innings behind an impressive performance on the mound from Jacob Koces. Hiram is now 5-1 this season and has clinched a winning record at the end of its 8-game road trip in Florida.

No 22 Aurora returned to action on the spring trip and made quick work of the Duhawks of Loras, winning 18-2 in seven innings
. Freshman CJ Cazares collected his second win on the mound while senior catcher Jett Wedekind moved into a tie with Jeff Mayes as the all-time hits leader at AU. The Spartan bats errupted in the bottom of the fourth. In the inning, a double by Wedekind tied Jeff Mayes as the all-time hits leader for AU with 240. The Spartan offense remained locked in with 18 hits bumping the average per game to 13.6.

The second-ranked Salisbury Sea Gulls used four big innings to cruise by Delmarva Peninsula rival Washington College defeating the Shoremen 19-3, on Wednesday afternoon at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. The Shoremen drew the first blood in the top of the second inning But couold not hold the lead as the Sea Gulls answered with a four-spot in the home half. Salisbury busted it open in the home sixth. Zach Geesaman had a monster day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBIs, two runs scored and one stolen base. Danny Sheeler reached base all five times against his former team, finishing 2-for-2 with two doubles, three walks, two RBIs and four runs scored. Benji Thalheimer (2-0) put up a Quality Start for his second win in as many starts, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits in six innings. Thalheimer walked four and struck out seven on 98 pitches. Brandon Epstein tossed two strong innings in relief, giving up one run and fanning four. Robbie Hollenbeck worked a perfect ninth with a pair of punchouts.

William Peace split the day as they fell 16-5 to Guilford before picking up a 6-2 win over Montclair State. Philip Berger has now surpassed the career strikeout record as he has now hit a career total of 165. The Quakers would get out to an early 3-0 lead and in the 4th and 5th, Guilford would take a strong 7-2 lead with several big hits. A sacrifice fly from Patrick Rogan in the bottom of the 5th would cut the score to 7-3, but Guilford would come up with a huge 6th inning to take a 13-3 lead. Montclair would take a quick 1-0 lead in game two but the Pacers would up 3-2 in the sixth. Singles from Adam Joseph and Patrick Rogan would pad the lead and the Pacers would come away with a 6-2 win.

Allegheny split a doubleheader against Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday evening with a 14-13 walk-off win in the early game and a 6-1 loss in the nightcap. The first half of the two-game set against the Golden Gusties (0-2) was a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair that saw the two sides combine for 27 runs and 38 hits. Although the Gators (3-6) took an early 4-0 lead, they needed some late-inning magic to pull out the victory. After runs were scored in bunches in the first game, starters Mark Schweickert and Luke Siegle engaged in a pitcher's duel through four innings in the late matchup. Although both had to dance around trouble at various times, they traded zeros until the bottom of the fifth. In an inning that saw the Gusties plate all six of their runs, Gavin Baker was responsible for the knockout punch. The junior shortstop was the first to face Reid Passauer with the bases loaded, and he rudely welcomed the Allegheny reliever into the game with a grand slam.

The final game of the University of the South's 13-game homestand ended on a high note on Wednesday afternoon, as the Tigers defeated the Mountaineers of Berea College, 11-4, from Montgomery Field. Berea, facing a four run deficit, added two runs in the sixth, but in the bottom of the seventh, the Tigers tacked on three runs in the frame to put the game away. Leading 7-3, Charlie Teel made it an 8-3 lead with an RBI single. Blake Pou led the Tigers with a three-hit day, including two doubles, with two RBI and a run scored. Starting for Sewanee, Luke Bishop tossed four innings of two-hit, one-run ball. Striking out four batters on the day, the junior punched out the side, with all three batters looking a called third strikes.

Four pitchers combined on a five-hitter over the first eight innings and junior first baseman Ryan Parent had three extra-bases hits and drove in four runs as the defending national champion Eastern Connecticut State won its 27th consecutive game over two seasons, 9-6, over Purchase College Wednesday afternoon. Ranked third nationally, Eastern (4-0) moved out to a 7-0 lead through five-and-one-half innings, tagging Purchase (1-2) junior starter Cass Muller for three runs on three hits and two walks in the top of the first and breaking it open with two more in the top of the sixth that upped the lead to 7-0 as the Warriors improved to 7-0 all-time against the Panthers in the series. First-year righty Dylan Scudder was credited with his second win in his second start and kept his ERA at 0.00 with the first two scoreless inning. Scudder, who has struck out out 13 in six innings this year, got a double play started by junior shortstop Zach Donahue after walking the opening batter of the inning, then struck out the side in the second to leave the bases loaded. First-year sophomore transfer Dan Driscoll fanned four in three innings in place of Scudder.

Grove City Improved to 5-0 on its Florida trip by earning a 7-3 win over New York power St. John Fisher at Lake Myrtle Field. Senior catcher C.J. Saylor, junior first baseman Markus Williams, sophomore third baseman Mally Kilbane and sophomore DH Josh Minnich all had two hits for Grove City, which finished with 11 total hits. Grove City sealed the win with a three-run seventh inning. Senior pitcher Tate Ostrowski earned his third win of the season by allowing one run in six innings. Ostrowski (3-0) struck out eight men and allowed five hits. Sophomore David Leslie closed out the victory with a three-inning save. Leslie struck out four and allowed two runs while notching his second save of the trip.

Powered by an offensive explosion in game one and a
shutout in game two, Vassar completed a 22-7 and 3-0
sweep of Wentworth on Wednesday at the RussMatt
Invitational. The Brewers improve to 4-2 overall while
the Leopards move to 1-5 on the season.

Spencer Boynton and Morgan Weast both dominated on the mound, recording double-digit strikeouts in complete-game efforts to lead Eastern Nazarene to a pair of shutout wins, 2-0 and 4-0, over Lancaster Bible Wednesday afternoon. Boynton tossed his second complete game of the spring and racked up 12 strikeouts. Weast hurled his first complete game of the year and fanned 11 batters while surrendering just two hits and one walk. In game one Tyler Bean went 3-for-3 at the dish with one RBI and one run scored. Francis Ferguson collected a pair of hits, one RBI, and one run scored in the nightcap.

Elms finished out the day 1-1 after falling to the Thomas Terriers 6-5, and ended the day overpowering the Terriers 23-1. Elms College stayed in game one until the end, but Thomaspulled away late in a 6-5 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Thomas College Terriers Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Matt Seymour singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. It was a different script in game two. AJ Cook was dialed in at the plate on Wednesday, tallying four hits and leading Elms College to a 23-1 win over Thomas College Terriers Varsity. Cook singled in the first, singled in the second, doubled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.

Bridgewater (Va.) knocked off No. 18 Christopher Newport 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon. The Captains struck first in the top of first inning to make it 3-0 before the Eagles got to swing the bat. Bridgewater bounced back in the bottom of the first with two runs and three more in the third. The scoring stopped until the eighth when CNU got one but could not find the equalizer. Brandan Hartman was just a triple short of the cycle as the catcher went 3-for-4 at the plate with a trio of RBI. Six pitcher took the mound for the Eagles with none pitching more than two innings. Tanner Ray took the win for BC to move to 2-0 on the season. Ray went two innings and allowed just one hit to go along with a pair of strike outs. Tharp picked up the four-out save for his first of the campaign as he retired every hitter he faced.

Penn State Harrisburg used the right combination of stellar pitching, timely hitting, and opportunistic baserunning to come away with a 4-3 road victory over No. 15 Randolph-Macon at Estes Park on Wednesday afternoon. Josh Berzonski was excellent in three innings of relief, earning the win after allowing just one hit and striking out five straight batters across the game's final two frames. Fisher Druck turned in a strong start that saw him surrender just two earned runs in six innings of work. Josh Lantz finished 3-for-4 to lead the way at the plate, while Drew Sassaman also had a multi-hit outing.

No. 10 Endicott defeated Bates, 6-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening at North Field. After falling behind 1-0 to start the matchup, Caleb Shpur responded for the hosts with a solo homer to left field in the next half inning to square up the contest. Nicolas Notarangelo and Jake Nardone eventually gave the Gulls the lead for good with RBI knocks in the third inning (3-1). Endicott also tacked on one more run in the fourth and two more in the eighth setting up the relievers to handle the rest. Jenkins was credited with the win as the most effective pitcher out of the pen after following John Connolly who tossed 3 1/3 innings in his first start of the season. Will Fox finished off the seventh inning before Tarlin shut the door on his 11th career save over the last two frames save by punching out every batter he faced.

Medaille got their first win of the season today over the Northland Lumberjacks. The Mavericks won 12-9 in an impressive comeback. The Lumberjacks extended their lead in the third and the Mavs had some work to do, trailing 1-4. The Lumberjacks put up three more runs in the top of the fourth. The Mavs would answer back to cut the deficit and stay in attack mode. In the seventh, the Mavs broke things open at the bottom of the inning with six runs to take their first lead, 12-9. Game leaders for the Mavericks were Jonah DeLeon going 2-for-3 with two runs, two hits, two RBIs and one double. Gabe Schrader going 3-for-3 with one run, three hits, two RBIs, and one double. Braeden Lewis pitched three innings allowing only two hits, with five strikeouts. He was credited with the win.

Tyler Schwarzman led Hood going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases as Hood doubled up St. Mary's (MD.) 6-3. Gavin Pollard started the game for the Blazers and threw three complete innings, allowing one run on two hits. The junior walked one and had one strikeout. Scott Ash got the save in the final inning, giving up one run on two hits. The senior recorded a strikeout and a walk. Ian Walters led the Seahawks going 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Catholic used strong pitching and a three-run fifth inning to come away with a 7-2 victory over Penn College in South Carolina this morning. Will Hanson picked up his first win with the Cardinals after 5.0 scoreless innings. Hanson struck out seven and scattered three hits to improve to 1-0 on the season. Jake Lynes was impressive in relief, striking out four in 2.2 innings of one-hit ball. Jesse Lacefield and Ben Nardi combined for seven of the team's ten hits on the day with Lacefield driving in a game-high three runs. Mitchel Johnson, Joe Marini, and Justin McCarthy each had RBIs for Catholic.

Freshman pitcher Sean Diaz earned his first career victory as Rhode Island College defeated Alvernia, 7-5, at Terry Park in the Gene Cusic Classic on Wednesday morning. The Wolves started the scoring in the fourth inning, plating three runs in the top of the frame. The Anchormen clawed back with a run of their own in the inning and trailed, 3-1, after four. The RIC bats woke up in the later stages of the ballgame, getting two runs in the sixth and four in the eighth. A few Alvernia miscues allowed for a good portion of the runs and RIC led by four, 7-3, going into the ninth. Alvernia struck for a pair of runs in the top of the ninth, but could not manufacture the tying runs. Freshman second baseman Lucas McElroy knocked in two runs. Sophomore first baseman Daniel Trzepacz had the lone extra base-hit for the Anchormen and also scored twice. Diaz notched the win (1-0), striking out four in four innings of relief. 

After a day off, Gordon returned to the Northeast
Regional Park for the RussMatt Florida Invitational
where they took on the Russell Sage Gators. After
nine innings of dominance, the Fighting Scots took
the 9-2 win.

Saint John's (Minn.) totaled 12 hits, including four doubles, in an 11-6 win over Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday. The Johnnies (3-4) plated three runs with two outs in the bottom of the first inning but could not hold the lead as UPB tied the game in the fourth. SJU responded, however, with a trio of two-run hits in the bottom half of the inning to gain a 9-3 lead. The Panthers (3-8) cut their deficit to 10-6 with three runs on four hits, including back-to-back doubles to start the inning, in the seventh. SJU gained a run back with a two-out single from Amundson in the bottom half to end the game's scoring. Freshman Evan Soeffker made his collegiate debut and allowed one hit over the final two scoreless innings. Junior Alex Gwost made his second collegiate start and gave up three runs on three hits. He struck out three and walked five.

Washington and Lee bested Mary Baldwin in a 9-6 win Wednesday evening, extending their home win streak to five. The Generals took the lead with a five-run third inning, a lead they held onto for the remainder of the game. W&L had six separate players record a hit on the day, with eight hits between the six batters. Sophomore pitcher Jack Cope (1-0) earned the win after pitching a hitless 3.1 innings with three strikeouts. Senior reliever Derek Hughes (S, 1) received the save after closing out the remaining 3.2 innings allowing just one earned run and striking out six.

The WPI bats got hot on Wednesday at the RussMatt Invitational, as the Engineers' swept a pair of games to continue their Florida trip. WPI (3-3) opened the day with a 16-2 win over RPI (3-2-1) before a 10-5 victory against Anna Maria (2-3) in the nightcap. The Engineers pounded out 15 hits in the opener against RPI and added 14 more against Anna Maria. Individually, Kyle Johns finished the day going 5-for-7 with five RBI between the two games, while Jeffrey Brennan and Joe Salvon each notched four-hit days. On the mound, Joseph Peregrim got the start in game one, throwing four innings, giving up one run on one hit with five strikeouts, while Eric DePiero got the win, throwing three in relief, allowing one run on two hits. In game two, Jack Gomes got the win in relief, going four innings, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts.

No. 6 Baldwin Wallace recorded a come from behind victory over Swarthmore in the Snowbird Classic by a final score of 9-3. BW (9-2) was led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference first baseman Alexis Castillo who went 3-4 with two RBIs. Sophomore infielder Sean Kolenich went 2-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Senior right-handed pitcher Clay Anderson picked up his first start of the season going five innings with three runs, two earned, on five hits and striking out two batters. Freshman left-handed pitcher Carson Collins, senior right-handed pitcher Aidan Bennett and senior right-handed pitcher Garrett Miller combined for four scoreless innings.

The Johns Hopkins Blue Jays received five solid innings from Charles Monterrosa, who earned his first career win, and jumped out to an early lead to complete the two-game sweep over Roanoke with a 7-1 win. Monterrosa was impressive in his first career start on the mound as he tossed five scoreless, while only allowing one hit and punching out nine Maroons during his outing. Dillon Souvignier has now picked up an RBI in every game he has started so far this season for JHU. He has also picked up multiple RBI in three games now this season. Johns Hopkins was very patient at the plate, drawing nine walks in the game, which is a season high. Roanoke could only muster four hits in the contest and struck out a total of 13 times in the loss.

In the first-ever matchup between the two schools, Southern Virginia (5-5) defeated visiting Capital (2-5) in a doubleheader, 11-2 and 8-5, Wednesday afternoon. The back-to-back triumphs marked the team's third consecutive victory after dropping five straight. In the first game of the day, Capital put up two runs in the top of the first to take an early lead but the Knights blew open the scoring with a mess of runs in the bottom of the sixth to take control of the contest. The Knights continued with pace and a consistent offense in the second game. The Comets had no answer for the Knights' bat throughout the contest, substituting their man on the mound four times over the course of six innings.

Wilkes concluded its Spring Break Trip with a doubleheader split against Norwich Wednesday. The Cadets won game one 5-3 before the Colonels answered back in game two with a 3-1 victory in eight innings behind strong pitching from Hunter Lawall and Mike Show. Lawall made his first collegiate start in game two and did not allow a hit until the sixth inning. Lawall (2-0) went 7.0 innings allowing just one run on two hits with no walks and nine strikeouts. Show then moved from his left field position to pitch the bottom of the eighth. Norwich loaded the bases before Show stuck out his second batter of the inning for the final out as he earned his second save in as many days. In game one Wilkes took an early lead and that lead held until the top of the sixth when Norwich took the lead with four runs on three hits and two errors.

Kenyon could get used to playing Thiel. The Owls and Tomcats matched up for the second time at the Bob Gladwin Baseball Complex at Lawnwood, and Kenyon dominated with a 16-3 win to improve to 2-0 against Thiel with a 26-6 run differential. The Kenyon offense has scored double-digit runs in all three wins, and the Owls are averaging 11 runs per game through their first four outings. Like the first game against the Tomcats, Kenyon benefitted from Thiel's errors. Six errors led to 10 unearned runs, but they counted all the same for the Owls. Kenyon outhit Thiel 18-13, and Owls pitchers attacked the zone early and often as the rotation chalked up 11 strikeouts without a walk. In his first outing of the year, Frank Lynch struck out six in a four-inning start, allowing two runs on four hits. Sam Richards (1-0) earned the win with three scoreless innings that included three strikeouts and three hits. Jake Davidson sealed the deal by adding two more strikeouts over the final two innings. Drew Robinson had himself a day at the plate, hitting five singles in five at-bats, notching two RBIs, scoring three runs, and stealing a base for good measure.

Elizabethtown picked up their fourth win of the week as they defeated Penn St.-Behrend, 2-1. Senior, Ben Watson also recorded his 100th career-hit in the win. Aiden Russell picked up his first career-win on the mound for the Blue Jays, recording five strikeouts. Penn St.-Behrend scored their lone run in the first, from then on the Lions pitcher got PSU-B out of loaded base situations. In the bottom of the sixth, Elizabethtown scored their two runs of the game. Mason Woolwine was walked, then advanced on a wild pitch. Garrett Schwartzbeck bunted for a single, advancing Woolwine. On a ground out to second base, Woolwine scored. Schwartzbeck then advanced on a wild pitch before Watson singled to left center to bring home Schwartzbeck. Watson went 2-5 with a RBI. Schwartzbeck went 2-2 with a run scored and a double. Berturcio went 3-5 with a double.

Wilmington erased a three-run deficit to defeat Franklin 7-4 in the Quakers' home-opener at Tewksbury-Delaney Field on Wednesday afternoon. Franklin would plate four runs early runs on three hits with two walks and two wild pitches to take a 4-1 lead. After that, Wilminfton's Caleb Stines kept the Grizzly offense at bay. Franklin would be held to just two hits the rest of the contest, and it was up to the WC offense to makeup the three-run deficit. Stines earned the win, pitching 6.2 innings of scoreless baseball while scattering just two hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Will Butts picked up the loss for Franklin by allowing two runs on three hits with two walks in 1.1 innings.

Saint Vincent ended their two-game losing streak in walk off fashion as the Bearcats defeated Clark University 3-2 in Davenport. Billy Perroz stepped into the box in the bottom of the ninth and hit a high dribbler passed the mound to second base and Dylan Schmude slid in just ahead of the throw to score the winning run for Saint Vincent, lifting them to the 3-2 win. Along with his walk off, Perroz had a big day at the plate going 3-5, knocking in all three RBI's for the Bearcats. Jordan Sabol, Jimmy Davis, and Connor Bannias all had two hits in the win for the Bearcats as well. Davis also scored two out of the three runs for SVC.

Cabrini extended its winning streak to four straight Wednesday afternoon as the Cavaliers topped Eastern 17-4 in seven innings. In the fourth, the Cavaliers (8-4) added a run to go ahead 4-2, but in the fifth, Cabrini tacked on seven runs on four hits to take an 11-3 lead as three Eastern miscues led to three runs for the Cavs. Sean Glatts stepped to the plate with runners on first and third and put an exclamation point on the game as he parked a fastball over the left-center field fence for his first career home run to give the Cavs a 17-3 lead and the eventual 17-4 win. Glatts finished the day 2-for-3 with four RBIs and his sixth multi-hit game of the season and second time against Eastern. Four Cavs finished the day with multiple RBIs.

Rose-Hulman relied on a 3-hit performance from Kade Kline and strong pitching to pick up a 6-4 win over Greenville in the home opener on Wednesday night at Art Nehf Field. Kline finished 3-4 at the plate with three RBIs, one run scored and a key 2-run triple that helped Rose-Hulman pull away in the middle innings. Andy Krajecki added two hits and one run scored for the Fightin' Engineers. Connor O'Connel added a single, run and RBI for the balanced offensive attack. Alec Lewandowski tossed four shutout innings to pick up the win. Lewandowski allowed three hits and one walk with three strikeouts in the victory. Zacheus Carr, Warren Goik and Jonathan Oliger shut out Greenville from the sixth to eighth innings in a strong team wide pitching performance.

Penn State Abington completed a two-game sweep against Fitchburg State in non-conference actionat the RussMatt Baseball Invitational in Auburndale, Fla. at Lake Myrtle Park on Wednesday. The Nittany Lions took game one by the score of 4-3 and then finished the night cap with an 8-4 triumph. With the score tied 2-2 in the top half of the seventh inning in game one, sophomore Eric Stradling delivered a two-out two-run single to left-center field to give the Nittany Lions a 4-2 advantage. Stradling's hit turned out to be the game winner, despite Fitchburg coming through with a run in the bottom of the inning, Sophomore Josh Henderson shut the door on the Falcons retiring the final two batters in the inning to preserve the win for the Nittany Lions. In the night cap, Abington jumped out to a 4-0 lead through the first four innings. They put the game out of reach in the bottom of the sixth with a four-run inning. Today marked just the second and third match ups between Abington and Fitchburg State. The Nittany Lions are now 2-1 versus the Falcons in the all-time series. Fitchburg won the first-ever meeting between the two schools in 2020.
