Senior pinch hitter Tim Blankenship broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning, and Mary Washington added two more runs in the inning to defeat third-ranked Eastern Connecticut State, 7-4, on Monday afternoon at V. Earl Dickinson Stadium. The Eagles improve to 13-5 on the season, and run their win streak to seven straight. The score stood tied at 4-4 until the bottom of the eighth, when Blankenship led off with a pinch-hit home run. Gerhardt singled and scored on a hit from Burke Steifman, and Christenbury scored on a wild pitch. Gerhardt had a single and double, and Bobby Ayscue and Christenbury had two hits for UMW. Lowe gained the win in relief, allowing no runs on one hit in 2.1 innings, with one walk and two strikeouts.

On a cold and rainy day in Medford, Tufts came out hot to start Monday with four runs in the first and third innings in rolling past the previously undefeated Corsairs of UMass-Dartmouth 12-1 in non-conference play from Sol Gittleman Park. Tufts is now 3-0 on the season, with all three games coming at home. The Jumbos would tack on four more to blow the game open in the third inning, as Connor Davidson singled in a run, Ozzie Fleischer lifted a run-scoring sacrifice fly and Ben Leonard singled to left to bring around two more runs. The Corsairs got on the board in the top of the fifth, as DJ Perron singled in a run to break up the shutout and chase Podeszwa from the game. Justin Wells came in and quickly induced an inning-ending double play to end the UMD rally.

No. 9 Shenandoah earned its first win over a nationally ranked team this season with a 2-1, 10-inning home victory over No. 2 Salisbury Monday afternoon. In a game where both starting pitchers were outstanding, Shenandoah (12-2) got its winning runs off of a pair of Salisbury (12-2) relievers. Trailing 1-0 after the Sea Gulls scored an unearned run in the top of the 10th off of SU reliever Parker Farrington (3-0), the Hornets scored the game-winning runs thanks to a hit batsman, a triple, and a sacrifice fly. Salisbury skipper Troy Brohawn replaced reliever Zach Adams (0-1) with Brandon Epstein and had Epstein load the bases by putting both Ritter and Gavin Horning on base via intentional walk. This brought designated hitter, and 2021 All-America, Colby Martin to the plate. Epstein missed with his first three offerings, and after Martin took a called strike on the fourth pitch, lofted the next one to centerfield for the game-winning sacrifice fly.

No. 10 Endicott defeated Pomona-Pitzer, 5-4, in non-conference action on Monday evening at Alumni Field. The game ended in thrilling fashion as Caleb Shpur threw a dart from shallow center field to catcher John Mulready for the final out of the contest. Shpur's throw one-hopped perfectly to Mulready's glove side directly into the path of the sliding runner. The sturdy catcher did the rest by holding onto the baseball despite a collision at home to keep Endicott undefeated on the season (5-0).

No. 21 Ithaca defeated Western New England University 11–9 on Monday. The Bombers built a huge 11–2 lead but survived a late comeback from the Golden Bears. Brawdy and Fabbo eached picked up three RBI, pacing the bombers to the win as Garrett Bell was lights out on the mound through five innings. Garrett Bell shut the door on the mound giving up just one unearned run through five innings of work. Bell allowed just three hits and struck out six batters on a great day for the right-hander. Ithaca built a 11–2 lead but the Golden Bears did not go away, giving the Bombers a scare with a big seven-run inning in the eighth. The Golden Bears threatened again in the ninth inning with a leadoff double. Erislandy Rives slammed the door for the Bombers, striking out the next two batters and forcing a groundout to end the game.

Led by an offensive onslaught of 26 runs, Vassar collected a doubleheader sweep of Central College in the final two games of the RussMatt Invitational. The Brewers earned a 16-7 victory in the first game followed by a 10-8 win in the nightcap to improve to 6-5 overall. Ezra Caspi finished a big day at the plate with three hits, three runs scored and six RBI in the opener. Jensen Bergman led the way on offense for Vassar with a perfect 3-for-3 day and drove in three runs in the nightcap.

Keystone earned its first two wins of the season on Monday, defeating Mount Saint Mary 10-5, followed by a 10-6 win over Rutgers-Newark. The Giants plated three runs in the fifth and five in the seventh, outhitting the Knights 13-10 in Monday's opener. Anthony Raimo had the hot bat, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, including a pair of home runs. Raimo launched a three-run shot in the fifth, followed by a solo blast in the eighth. Trailing 6-3, the Giants plated seven runs total in the seventh & eighth innings, with six in the eighth, to earn the come-from-behind win. Giovanni Diaz enjoyed a 3-for-3 day with four runs and three RBI, including solo homer in the seventh. Diaz came through with a two-run single in the eighth.

William Paterson (6-1) bested its season-high mark for runs scored during a 14-4 victory that was called after seven innings against College of St. Scholastica (0-8) at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Both team took advantage of miscues to score early runs but the Pioneers would continue to pile on the runs, scoring multiple tallies in each of the last five innings. After falling in its first game of the day, against William Patterson, St. Scholastica rebounded with its first victory of the young season, defeating Mount Saint Mary College (NY). Behind dominant pitching and an incredible offensive performance, the Saints were able to take care of the Knight in just seven innings, winning by a score of 15-0.

Junior Patrick Montagna tossed seven impressive innings in his first Cornell pitching start as the Rams cruised to their fourth straight victory, 8-1, over Greenville Monday afternoon. Montagna (2-0) faced only five batters over the minimum, yielding five hits and striking out six. The right-hander's only blip was an RBI double in the first inning that put Greenville (4-6) ahead 1-0. Montagna followed that with six consecutive shutout innings before his work was done. Drew Logel provided all the support Montagna would need with a towering two-run homer to left field in the top of the second. Logel was 2-for-4 at the plate with three runs and two RBIs.

Texas-Dallas finished its RussMatt Central Florida Invitational slate with an 11-1, eight-inning victory over #38 Southern Maine and Lake Myrtle Park Monday evening. The Comets (9-7) outhit the the Huskies (1-3) 10-4 while drawing seven walks. UTD scored in all but one of the innings. The Comets recorded five doubles, three sac bunts and three sac flies. Jaeger Self went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI, a walk, a double and a stolen base.

Behind the pitching finesse of Max Iorio and handful of heavy hitting performances at the plate, Suffolk won its second straight game Monday as it took down Mt. Aloysius, 14-7, at Griffith Field as part of the Ripken Experience. Iorio captured the win on the hill behind 4.0 innings of work in which he gave up just one run on two hits with three walks to go along with three punchouts. Garret Roberts went 5-for-6 at the dish with two doubles. He scored three times and brought in one run.

Defiance opened up their spring break trip Monday with a doubleheader against St. Elizabeth at Terry Park. The Yellow Jackets won game one 13-2 and the Eagles won game two 5-2. That was the first win of the season for the Eagles, they are now 1-5 and the Yellow Jackets move to 1-4. The Yellow Jackets blew the early game open in the sixth. Mitchell Roever was hit by a pitch, Gunner Gregg walked, Trent Murdock singled, Jacob Hild singled, and Austin Horning singled to all bring in runs. In the nightcap, the Eagles plated three runs in the top of the second to take the early lead and took advantage of a throwing error in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 5-0. Defiance attempted a rally in the seventh but could only manage one run.

Albertus Magnus opened its annual spring break trip to the Palmetto State with a non-conference doubleheader split against the Panthers of Plymouth State on Monday morning at Ebbets Field. Justin Marks helped guide the Falcons to a 3-1 victory in game one as the freshman left-hurler threw a complete game while allowing one run on three hits. Game two of the doubleheader went to Plymouth State by a final score of 7-2. Today's games marked the third and fourth meeting between the Falcons and Panthers. After today's doubleheader split, Albertus holds a 3-1 lead in the all-time series.

Matt Wojcik's base hit drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and freshman Morgan Zientara tossed a complete-game, two hitter over Lakeland in game two to give the Fredonia State a sweep of a Monday doubleheader. The Devils dropped the Muskies, 13-8, in game one. Freshman Nick Syposs earned his first collegiate win and the Blue Devil offense put up 10 hits in the 13-8 win. Syposs went five strong, giving up four runs, but just one earned. Michael Byrns threw the final two, striking out three to give the team 10 punchouts for the seven-inning game. In the nightcap, the Devils turned in several defensive gems. Kyle Tedford -- who led the team with two hits -- made a diving stop at second base. Wojcik had an outfield assist at third to end the fourth, then ended the fifth with a diving catch.

Ramapo won a pair of games over Curry, 9-4 and 11-4, in a non-conference doubleheader at the RussMatt Invitational. The Roadrunners move to 5-1 overall while the Colonels drop to 1-6 overall. Jack Martin (1-0) earned his first win of the season on the mound as he struck out four, walked two and let up just one hit over five innings of work. Billy Scanlon worked the sixth and did not give up a hit while Sebastian Sphan started the seventh and got the first two outs before Matt Ivanicki got the final out of the inning via a groundout. Troy Karaty (1-0) earned the win in relief for the Roadrunners as he struck out one and scattered three hits in 1.2 innings of work.

Marywood earned a doubleheader sweep of Gallaudet by putting up 17 runs in both games Monday in the first game of its spring break trip. The Pacers swept the Bison by scores of 17-5 and 17-11. Marywood scored nine unanswered runs to shelve the Bison in the opening game. Christian Michak led the Pacers with a 3 for 5 performance with four RBIs. He scored three runs with a triple and a stolen base. In game two, Vinny D'Auria was a home run shy of a cycle in a lengthy game that was delayed by a thunderstorm. D'Auria finished with a 4 for 5 performance at the plate with three runs, four RBIs, and seven total bases.
