A massive seventh inning proved to be the deciding factor as Franklin notched its third straight win, besting Millikin in a Tuesday afternoon matchup. The Grizzlies (12-6) scored eight times in the seventh inning and kept the Big Blue (13-6) offense in check on their way to a 10-4 victory. Franklin got the game's first run in their half of the fourth when Matt Earley scored on a double play. The lead was short lived as the hosts plated three runs in their half of the fifth before Franklin got a run back on an RBI single from Jonathan LaGuire in the sixth to make it a 3-2 game. The Grizzlies pulled in front five batters into the seventh when Noah Wood ripped an two-run double into the left center field gap to make it 4-3. Nico Santoro had four hits and Shane Stossel had five RBI including a big grand slam to give Lebanon Valley an 11-1 victory over Messiah on Tuesday afternoon at McGill Field in a big Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth matchup. The Duhawks (12-7, 3-2) stumbled 12-2 in just seven innings in game one but responded with an 11-5 victory over the Storm (11-7) in the nightcap. The Storm only scored in two innings in game one, but when they did they did so in bunches as they plated six runs in each the second and fifth innings to run away with a win in their first conference game of 2023. Loras made sure to secure at least one win in the home opener as senior starter Matt Jeter gave his team a chance with three scoreless frames to start the game. During that time, the Duhawks jumped out to an early lead as senior Tyler Pranksy smacked a two-RBI single in the first inning with two outs and the bases loaded. Loras added its 11th run of the game in the sixth after DiBenedetto's leadoff triple – his second of the game – set him up to score on Gruber's RBI single just two batters later. Despite a two-run eighth inning from the Storm, there was plenty of insurance for the Duhawks as they held serve for an 11-5 win.

A non-conference visit to the University of Dallas Tuesday, showed McMurry University's current diamond prospects continue to trend upward. Head coach Josh Lee's War Hawks scored in every inning but two and stifled the host University of Dallas Crusaders on only two earned runs and eight hits en route to a 13-5 victory. Mary Hardin Baylor may have been swept by ETBU in Marshall this past weekend. But the Cru appeared right at home on the road Tuesday night, taking down a Top 25 opponent for the first time in 2023, handing 24th-ranked Trinity (TX) a 4-3 loss. Playing its 11th straight road game, UMHB maintained a consistent offensive presence, and the Crusader pitching staff held the Tigers to their fewest runs in a game since a 15-3 loss to UT-Dallas on Mar. 7. Seven different pitchers took the mound for the Cru over the course of the nine-inning duel, with only starter Nicklas Fenner firing 2.0 innings. He allowed just two baserunners in that span, before Bryce Farlander completed a scoreless third inning. Erick Roberts and Jacob Haynes each struck out two batters, while Cameron Bogan, the fifth pitcher to take the mound, earned the win. Freshman infielder Jonathan Chatfield hit a three-run home run and doubled while classmate Troy Brennan pitched four hitless innings of relief with four strikeouts for his first career win as the Keene State staved off Salem State 4-3 in their 2023 Owl Athletic Complex opener Tuesday afternoon. In search of more offense after a string of three consecutive games where KSC could not muster much including in a doubleheader Sunday at Eastern Nazarene College, the Owls found just enough in their first home game since last May – mostly from an emerging middle of the order threat in Chatfield, who has eight extra-base hits in 47 at bats (five doubles, one triple, and now two runs) including two today as he drove in three of his team's four runs. He then scored on a passed ball to account for the fourth, and KSC otherwise relied on a trio of arms to win in the first of five scheduled home games this week after the Owls played their first 15 contests away from home. It was a much different lineup than when Keene State took the field on May 6 of last year in a doubleheader against the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, with six of nine lineup spots occupied by freshman and 21 newcomers overall.

Junior Zac Zaller tossed five scoreless innings, striking out five and allowing one hit while giving Lycoming College to jump out with the first seven runs of the game in a 7-4 MAC Freedom win at Wilkes University on Tuesday afternoon at Bruggeworth Field. The Warriors (4-12 overall, 2-6 MAC Freedom) kept the Colonels (10-12 overall, 4-6 MAC Freedom) off the scoreboard for the first seven innings before they scored two in each of the last two frames to cut into a seven-run cushion built by the road team. Zaller (1-1) earned the win, as he allowed just two runners to reach, both in the first inning before he retired the last 14 batters that he faced, working in all five of his strikeouts and seven flyouts in that time. He yielded to first-year Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area), who threw scoreless sixth and seventh innings before allowing two runs in the eighth. He allowed five hits and struck out two.

Ramapo won a non-conference road game over Ursinus this afternoon, 5-4. After being down 4-0 after two innings of play Ramapo got on the board in the top of the fourth with one run. Matt Carovillano plated Matt Lalomia with an RBI sac fly before the Roadrunners came back to take the lead in the eighth. Following the first out of the inning, TJ Roman recorded a pinch-hit single before Brian Baranok laced a double into the right-center field gap. Lalomia then knocked in Roman with an infield single before Justin Garthaffner worked a walk to load the bases. The Bears induced a strikeout for the second out of the inning before Will Egner worked a bases loaded walk as Baranok touched home plate. Jason Cuba came up big with a two-out two RBI single to right field as Lalomia and Garthaffner scored to take a 5-4 lead. In the eight, the Roadrunners got out of a two-out bases loaded jam with a 6-4-3 double play to preserve the one run lead. Will Paoli entered the game in the ninth for the Roadrunners on the mound. Following a leadoff walk, Paoli induced a strikeout, a fly out and another strikeout to end the game and preserve the 5-4 victory. Paoli earned his third save of the year while Troy Karaty (2-0) earned the win on the mound in relief. Ramapo collected nine hits in the game while Lalomia and Cuba each posted two.

Stevenson defeated Washington College 15-3 taking advantage of 11 Shoremen errors. The Mustangs wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Billy McAdam singled, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, then finally scored thanks to a Nick Tamberino sac-fly out to right center. Washington College tried to mount a comeback, scoring two runs in the third, but Stevenson quickly answered back in the fifth inning. The Mustangs kept their foot on the gas, scoring four runs in the sixth, assisted Shoremen miscues. In the final inning, the Mustangs scored two runs.
