New York University earned an 11-3 win against Washington University in the final game of the teams' UAA series on Sunday. The Violets had lost the first three of the four-game set before today's convincing victory to improve to 12-11 on the season and 5-6 in the league. "The energy was much better from the beginning," said assistant coach Eddie Medina. "We had met with some of the guys to evaluate what happened in the three prior games...we grinded but just didn't get the big hit. So, collectively trying to figure out how to get that big hit whether it was the approach, situational baseball, all those things that come together to help you win a baseball game."

Following a historic doubleheader on Saturday, Emory was back at it again on Sunday completing the sweep of Brandeis in Waltham, Massachusetts. The Eagles, who scored a program and UAA record 31 runs in both games of the twinbill yesterday, defeated the Judges by a 9-1 count in the finale. With the win, the Eagles win their 20th game of the season and now stand 9-2 in the UAA with a healthy-size lead with only four games remaining. Emory has now won 34 straight in the all-time series with Brandeis. Five different Eagles combined to limit the Judges to one run over nine innings with senior Derek Livingston earning the win with a scoreless fifth inning. Junior Tyler McLoughlin tallied his fifth win of the year, tossing three shutout innings with six strikeouts.

Michael Sarzen, Colby James and Grant Guinther combined for seven shutout innings and Will Marconi and the Stormy Petrels weathered a late storm to help Oglethorpe upset No. 1 Birmingham Southern, 2-1, Sunday afternoon in game one of a Southern Athletic Association doubleheader. Birmingham Southern won game one of the series 13-3 Saturday night and went on to win game two of the doubleheader 8-3 to take the series two games to one. Oglethorpe's victory over the top-ranked Panthers marked the first win over a nationally ranked opponent since defeating No. 4 LaGrange 9-7 on March 29 last season.

Husson completed the four-game season series with the Hornets of Northern Vermont-Lyndon after taking a Sunday afternoon doubleheader over their North Atlantic Conference foe. The Eagles (9-9, 4-0 NAC) took game one, 9-2, before winning game two, 6-2, over NVU-Lyndon (3-16, 0-4 NAC). In the opener, the Eagles would go on to string together eight of the final nine runs scored in the contest including five RBI by sophomore Tanner Evans for the 9-2 victory. The Old Town native finished a home run away from the cycle as he went 4-for-4 in game one. Junior Akira Warren was also 4-for-4 while freshman Hunter Curtis drove in two runs. On the mound, senior Brandon Brunell pitched five innings before senior Alex Smith closed out the game by going two innings. The pitching staff allowed two runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. In game two, graduate student Ethan Stoddard, with a runner on, would put the game to bed in the bottom half of the fifth as he smashed a homer off the scoreboard for a two-run shot. Warren added the exclamation point in the sixth as he scored from second on a failed pickoff attempt. On the mound, sophomore Connor Abood pitched a complete game including ten strikeouts to earn his first win of the season.

Three runs in the ninth inning, but a five-hit rally gave the Saints a 12-11 win to clinch the regular season series against the Hobart Statesmen on Sunday afternoon in Canton, N.Y. The Statesmen scored five unanswered runs in the seventh and eighth innings to lead 11-8 and were three outs away from taking the three-game series. Creagh led off the bottom of the ninth with his second double of the afternoon, and Desjardins singled up the middle to put runners on the corners. First-year catcher John Donnellan poked one through the left side of the infield to bring Creagh across the plate. Stephen Colangelo, the Saints' shortstop, kept the rally going beating out an infield single to score Desjardins, and Federico singled to left center to score the catcher and make it a tie game. Federico and Colangelo would move into scoring positions on a wild pitch, and Goretti worked a walk to load the bases. Connor hit a ball high to shallow right, and some confusion between the second baseman and the right fielder allowed the ball to drop and Colangelo scored to walk-off the Statesmen twice in as many games. "We were resilient today against a really tough team," said head coach Kenny Collins. "All three games in the series came down to one run, and we were able to execute when we needed to. We're right in the heart of our schedule now and have a quick turnaround to get ready for RIT. Depth is one of our strengths and we need to keep leaning on that as the games start to add up."
