GREENSBORO, N.C. – Michael Del Buono was 4-for-6 with a homer and four RBI in Lynchburg College's 15-9 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball win at Guilford College Sunday.

Del Buono, who had two hits and three RBI in Saturday's 9-2 Lynchburg win over Guilford (3-9, 0-2 ODAC), had a two-run homer in the Hornets' (5-5, 2-0 ODAC) four-run second inning. He also had a run-scoring single in the third and an RBI double in the fourth as Lynchburg built a 13-3 lead through six and a half innings.

Michael Mansfield, who replaced starter Brian Breedlove after two innings, fanned seven in four scoreless innings of relief. He scattered three hits and walked one to even his record at 1-1 on the season.

The Hornets banged out a season-high 22 hits off of five Guilford pitchers. Richard Palase was 4-for-6 and Chris Colquhoun went 3-for-6. Colquhoun, who also had four runs batted in, led off the third inning with a solo home run and had a two-run single in the fifth. Michael Kenah singled three times and scored four runs. Jordan Watkins also had three hits and scored twice.

Fueled by two of Lynchburg's six errors, Guilford scored four unearned runs in the ninth inning. Nine different Quakers had hits, including Derek Hardison, whose RBI double gave Guilford a short-lived 1-0 first-inning lead. Hardison also had an RBI groundout in the seventh to raise his team-leading RBI Count to 13. Rookie starting pitcher Borja Jones-Berasaluce (0-2) allowed seven runs on nine hits in two-plus innings.

Guilford hosts Immaculata College Wednesday (3/2) in a noon doubleheader.
