Anderson Scores Two in Ninth to Down Rensselaer, 6-5

WINTERHAVEN, Fla. - Rensselaer scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning only to give up a single run in the bottom half of the inning and the Engineers lost to Anderson (IN), 6-5.  RPI falls to 3-2, while the Ravens improve to 4-3.

Rensselaer tied the game with two outs in the ninth on RBI singles from Tanner Boucher (Keene, NH / Keene) and Andrew Grey (Reading, MA / Reading).

Leading the way for RPI was Kyle LaVigne (Ashland, MA / Ashland), who went 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Johnny Rio (Maplewood, NJ / Columbia) also went 3 for 5 with a double and a run scored and Art Levenson (San Diego, CA / University City) continued his strong spring, going 2 for 4 with a home run, double, two runs scored and an RBI.

The Engineers had numerous scoring chances but stagnant two-out hitting resulted in 12 men left on base.
