CONWAY, Ark. (March 26) -- Hendrix College junior right-hander Teddy Smoyer fired a three-hit complete game shutout to lead the Warriors to a 5-0 win over No. 10 Trinity University on a cold and damp Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Smoyer tossed a gem for his second-straight win over a Top-25 team. He pitched a no-hitter through the first 4.2 innings and allowed just one walk over the stretch. Smoyer fanned six batters, forced 13 flyouts and six grounders in 31 batters faced.

Hendrix (12-11, 8-7 SCAC) scored its first run in the second on a two-out single from junior Aaron Bowen to score first year Jacob Perschke. The Warriors went up 2-0 on another two-out single through the right side, this time by junior Clark Sims to score junior Andrew Thames.

The Warriors added another run in the fifth when first year Collin Radack led off with a line drive shot over the left field fence, his first collegiate homer. Radack then started the seventh with a two-bagger to left center and eventually crossed the plate on a two-out single to center by junior Kyle Raskin.

Hendrix manufactured its final run in the eighth when Sims was hit by a pitch with one out, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, advanced 90 feet on a wild pitch and then sprinted home on another wild pitch.

Trinity junior right-hander Ben Klimesh dropped to 7-1 on the season after 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 10 hits, four runs (all earned), two walks and nine strikeouts.

The Warriors stole two games over No. 24 Millsaps College in last weekend's three-game set. The Majors have since dropped out of the Top-25. Hendrix will wrap up its season series against Trinity (21-7, 9-4 SCAC) on Sunday with a nine-inning game at 12 p.m. CT. The Tigers have already clinched the season-series win after three victories against the Warriors on Feb. 26 and 27.
