In game number-one, CUA jumped out to a 7-0 lead after four innings.  The Cardinals scored once in the first when Marc Hanna doubled home Tommy Little, and another single run in the second when Dan Hinchcliff's sac fly brought in Dan Sullivan.

The Rangers refused to go away though, and tied things at eight with three runs in the sixth.  A Cardinals error allowed all three Drew runs to come across and after both teams were unable to score in the seventh, the game headed for extras.

CUA went down in order in the eighth and the Rangers capitalized, scoring the game-winning run on a Steven DeBonis single to left field that plated Michael Scarzafava.

The Cardinals again started fast, scoring once in the first and second and then erupting for four runs in the third.  Little got things going with a lead off single and then stole second. With one out, Little moved up to third with another steal.

CUA tacked on three more runs in the fifth, beginning with back-to-back singles by Hanna and Grieb.  Grear's double then brought home both Cardinals, and Grear came across on McCarthy's single.
