Kings Point, NY – The USMMA baseball team picked up its fourth straight win Tuesday afternoon with a 10-4 triumph over St. Joseph's (BK).  Danny Collins (Sleepy Hollow, NY) went 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored for the Mariners.  Brad Suciu (Zanesville, OH) faced two batters in relief as the freshman picked up his first collegiate victory.

Merchant Marine (17-12) built an 8-0 advantage in the opening five innings, hanging up three runs in the fourth frame as well as four markers in the fifth inning.  Nicholas Dimas (Keller, TX) tripled to right field to plate a pair of runs in the fourth and eventually scored on one of the Bears six errors of the game.  Collins, Grant Foley (Butler, PA), and Tyler Alger (Fairfax, VA) all registered a RBI in the Mariners big fifth inning.

St. Joseph's (BK) (17-9) posted two runs in the bottom of the fifth before Suciu came in to shut down the Bears threat.  Cameron Stadele (Alpharetta, GA) and Collins both drove-in runs down the stretch as USMMA held on for the 10-4 win.  Keil Silva (Castle Rock, CO) and Jake Martin (CO) both pitched four innings allowing just one earned run around Suicu's relief appearance.

The USMMA baseball team returns to action at Lower Roosevelt Field Thursday afternoon for a non-conference clash with Manhattanville.
