La Plume, PA – Lymbel Guerrero (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) went 4-5 with four RBIs to power Keystone College to a 13-5 victory over Marywood University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference baseball game on Wednesday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field.  The Giants, now winners of five of their last six games, improve to 7-9 overall and are averaging over 10 runs in their first four conference games, all which have been victories.

Marywood (4-4, 0-1 CSAC) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning before Guerrero laced a three-run single to right-center to put Keystone ahead before scoring on a bunt by Gaston Rojas (Carmel, NY/Carmel) to give the Giants a 4-1 lead.

After the Pacers drew to within a run in the visitor's second, Kevin Catherina (Ridgefield, NJ/St. Mary (Rutherford)) tripled to center to score Louis Reyes (Port St. Lucie, FL/Treasure Coast) before coming home on a Rick McLaughlin (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) sacrifice fly to give the hosts a 6-3 edge in the home half of the inning.

Marywood again cut their deficit to a single run at 6-5 in the top of the fifth inning before Keystone countered with three runs in the bottom half of the frame to build a 9-5 advantage.  Guerrero singled home Tyler Gurman (Bronx, NY/Lehman) for the Giants' seventh run before coming around to score on a Kevin Luciano (Everett, MA/Cambridge Rindge and Latin School) base hit.  Keystone then successfully executed a double steal with Luciano taking second and Rojas swiping home to give the hosts a four-run advantage.

Chris Bzozowski (Westampton, NJ/Bishop Eustace) hit a solo home run to left center in the seventh inning and the Giants went on to add three more runs in the eighth inning with Reyes, Catherina, and Ricky Riscica (Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) each recording RBI hits in the frame.

Led by Guerrero's four, Keystone pounded out 16 hits on the day with Catherina and Reyes adding three of those hits apiece.  Catherina also collected a pair of RBIs and scored three runs from the leadoff spot.

Michael Meszoros (Bridgeport, CT/Bassick) improved to 2-2 the mound after going 4.0 innings in which he surrendered three runs on five hits while striking out three batters on the day.  John Kranick (Jessup, PA/Valley View) pitched one inning an allowed a pair of runs on three hits with one strikeout before turning the ball over to James Dunning (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), who tossed three scoreless frames in which he surrendered two hits and fanned two batters.  Tyler House (South Williamsport, PA/South Williamsport Area) made his collegiate debut in the ninth, retiring the side in order including a pair of strikeouts.

Vince Rebar and Thomas Richards led Marywood's offense with two hits apiece with Richards collected a pair of RBIs in the loss.

Billy Kelly (0-2) took the loss after giving up nine runs on nine hits in five innings on the bump for the Pacers while Justin Perez was charged with four runs on seven hits over the final three innings for Marywood.

Keystone will return to the diamond on Friday afternoon when they host Immaculata University in a conference game scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Christy Mathewson Field.
