TROY, N.Y. – Rochester used a stellar pitching performance from Michael Mondon and contributions throughout the lineup offensively to secure a 14-2 baseball victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Robison Field on Sunday afternoon.

This was the first game of a doubleheader against the Engineers and it comes less than 24 hours after the Yellowjackets posted wins of 12-0 and 10-8.

In a complete game performance, Mondon scattered six hits, did not walk a batter, struck out four, and allowed two runs – both earned. He hit two batters and gave up just one extra-base hit. Eleven of his outs came from ground balls. RPI didn't nick him for a run until the sixth inning and the hosts added one more run in the seventh.
