Union, N.J. (3/7/15) – Seniors Mike Daley and Matthew Wagner combined for a one-hitter as the Kean University baseball team picked up their second straight win by blanking FDU-Florham, 6-0.

Christopher Franco broke up the no-hitter with one out in the sixth inning with a comebacker up the middle.  Daley (1-0) exited after that batter, finishing with three strikeouts and six walks.  Wagner completed the game facing less than the minimum after a pickoff in the sixth.  Wagner struck out one.

#7/15 Kean scratched across the only run they would need in their half of the second as senior Andy Lopez broke through with the first hit of the game.  A single from junior Ryan Reitmeyer in the gap put runners on the corners, and catcher Michael Kendall lofted a sacrifice fly to erase the shutout.

The Cougars would go on to score runs in each of the next three innings as Reitmeyer drove in two with a bases loaded double, scoring Sal Taormina and Tom McGuckin who both reached on singles of their own.  Kendall led off the fourth with a double and would later score on an RBI single from sophomore Tyler Heisch.  Kean rounded out the scoring in the fifth as junior Ryan Kelley collected an RBI single and later scored on a wild pitch.

Reitmeyer was 2-for-4 with two RBI while Lopez was 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Starter A.J. Pichalski (0-1) suffered the loss for the Devils (0-1).  He allowed all six runs on nine hits in four and two thirds innings of work.

Kean will return to action on Sunday with a split doubleheader against St. Joseph's College-L.I. at 11:30 a.m. and SUNY College at Old Westbury at 3 p.m.
