The Short Story: Saturday was Spring Fair at Johns Hopkins University and although the baseball team couldn't make it to the festivities on the other side of campus they had their own fun on Babb Field. The Blue Jays swept a doubleheader against Swarthmore, winning game one 10-3 and shutting out the Garnet 12-0 in game two. Hopkins' win streak has now hit nine, its longest since 2013, and the squad has sole possession of first place in the Centennial Conference with two weeks left in the season. 2016 marks the 25th consecutive season Hopkins has won at least 20 games.

Nick Burns and Wyatt Lam earned the mound victories. Lam, who threw six shutout innings and allowed just one hit, earned the first win of his career. Game two saw the Jays hit four home runs, including two from Conor Reynolds.  Zach Jaffe crushed his first-career home run, a grand slam that landed on University Parkway and Daniel Albert hit also blasted a bomb over the right field wall.

- The Jays scored double-digit runs for the 10th and 11th time this season and have now done it in six of their last seven games.
- Reynolds is the second Blue Jay to hit two home runs in a game this season. Mitch Weaver did it last Sunday vs. F&M.
-Lam became the ninth JHU pitcher to record a win this season.
- The Hopkins bullpen has not allowed a run in 12 innings.
- JHU has now hit 30 home runs this season, just two less than they hit in 2015.

Jaffe's Take:  "Hitting a big home run was awesome, but that was a true team effort today. Nick and Wyatt threw incredible games. Nick looks like he's back to his form from last year and Wyatt looked incredible. The last two weeks we have shown how good we can be and it's important that we don't take our foot off the pedal." –Sophomore Zach Jaffe

Up Next: Hopkins will look to increase its winning streak to double-digits Tuesday at Gettysburg. First pitch in the Centennial Conference showdown is slated for 3:30pm.
