= Junior Ian Mikowski went 5-for-9 on the day, including four hits in the second game.

THE OPPOSITION
JP Batts went 4-for-9 on the afternoon while Nicholas Lepore came off the bench to go 3-for-3 in the nightcap.

Nick Glowacki had two hits in the opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME ONE
= Sophomore starting pitcher Tommy Parsons picked up his MIAA-leading ninth of the season, scattering six hits over six innings. He had two strikeouts while allowing two runs (1 earned) and a walk.

= The Bulldogs scored all their runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the bases loaded, Knorr hit a high flyball to the right fielder who lost it in the sun at the last moment, bringing in all three runs for a 3-1 advantage. Junior Ryan Dorow brought home Knorr with an infield single to shortstop in the hole.

= Hope took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Brady Vanderweele doubled down the right-field line and moved to third base on a single by Batts. Ryan Konkle hit a sacrifice fly to right field.

= Staying in the visitors' opening stanza, Parsons was able to escape further damage by inducing a groundout and a pop-up to shortstop while leaving a runner stranded in scoring position.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME TWO
= Hope started the game with another early lead as Konkle had a RBI-double to left field and Landon Brower had a RBI-single to right, staking the Flying Dutchmen to a 2-0 advantage after the first half-inning.

= But Adrian quickly erased the deficit in its bottom half on a three-run home run to right off the bat of senior Matt Andrus.

= The Bulldogs took a commanding 9-2 cushion after three more runs in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth.

= Knorr gave Adrian some insurance with another bases-clearing double, this time down the left field line.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= The eight MIAA championships in a row ties a conference record.

= Parsons is 9-1 on the season, establishing a career high for wins in a season.

Konkle, who had two hits this afternoon, paces the MIAA with a .484 batting average.

= Adrian junior Brian Killinger hit his third-career home run--all this season--in the second game.

= The Flying Dutchmen still lead the all-time series that began in 1950, 91-71, but the Bulldogs have won 11 of the last 13 meetings.

= Mikowski had a stolen base in the nightcap, extending his school- and MIAA-leading total to 24.

= He also is 11-for-his-last-24 to increase his batting average to .417.

= Knorr is on a 15-game hitting streak (24-50, .480) and has overtaken the team batting lead with a .420 average, which is second in the league.

As a group, they have captured the MIAA's first three tournament titles, three NCAA Division III tournament appearances, won 73 percent of their games and been victorious in 87 conference games while losing just 23.
