AUBURNDALE, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team won a third straight in Florida, taking down Fontbonne University.

THE DETAILS
Fontbonne jumped to an early 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second
Benedictine was able to tie the game with a pair in the bottom of the second
Andrew Hotze drew a one-out walk and stole second while Dom DeMicco walked and Erik Callghan was hit by a pitch to load the bases
Jack Feeley put Benedictine on the board, tying the game with a two-out two-run single
Chayancze Stirbis was hit by a pitch with one away in the third and promptly stole second before coming across on a two-out single from DeMicco
Fontbonne quickly tied the game with a run in the top of the fourth
A two-out rally gave Benedictine the lead in the seventh
Tanner Kiser and Hotze singled before both came around on a double to left from Hotze
Fontbonne put the tying runs on base in the ninth but Marty Maves was able to close out the victory

STAT LEADERS
Benedictine was able to collect the win despite seven hits
Ivan Guzman threw 4.2 scoreless innings of relief to earn his first win
Benedictine sits 5-3 on the trip and will come home at least .500 in the 10 games
Kiser and DeMicco each picked up a pair of hits
DeMicco drove home three runs with Feeley notching a pair
