NEWARK, N.Y. – Eight different players drove in a run Wednesday night as the St. John Fisher College baseball team pounded out a season-high 21 hits en route to a 25-4 win over SUNY Canton at Colburn Park.  With the win, Fisher moved to 17-9 on the season and improved to 6-3 in the Empire 8 standings.  Canton fell to 5-19 with the loss and 2-5 against conference opponents.

Fisher's 25 runs marked the most the team has produced in a game since scoring 25 on April 14 when the Cardinals bested Utica College, 25-0.

Justin Graham went 4-for-7 in the win including his first-career home run.  The Webster native scored four runs and drove two.  Victor Konstantinovsky had four hits in five at-bats and collected four RBI overall while Thomas Pasquale was 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBI and two walks.  Ryan Brown had two hits in six at-bats along with four RBI on the night while Scott Eisenmenger blasted his seventh home run of the season and added to his program record with four RBI.  Ryan Simmons was 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and two runs of his own.

Tim Geissel moved to 4-1 on the season as the freshman allowed three runs on three hits in five innings of work.  The Cardinals' bullpen was nearly untouchable after throwing four innings and allowing just one run on two hits.  DJ Mendenhall threw a perfect sixth inning before Anthony Loussedes allowed one run on one hit in the seventh.  Morrie Silver pitched a scoreless eighth before Rylan Baker tossed a perfect ninth frame.

After a scoreless top of the first, Fisher jumped all over Canton's starter with three runs in the home half of the frame.  The Cardinals continued to rake in the second with eight runs on four hits including a pair of two-run singles from Brown and Konstantinovsky.

Canton got three back in the top of the third with a three-run home run to make it 11-3, but Eisenmenger jacked an opposite field shot of his own in the bottom of the third as part of a four-run inning to make it 15-3 heading to the fourth.

After escaping a bases loaded jam in the top of the fourth, Fisher tacked on two more runs as Antony Mantova deposited a fastball over the right field fence to plate a pair and make it 17-3 in Fisher's favor.

In the sixth inning, Fisher continued its assault on Canton pitching with seven more runs on seven hits as the Cardinals sent 13 hitters to the dish to open up a 25-3 advantage.  After Graham led off the inning with a solo shot to right, Fisher smacked six consecutive hits including five doubles before the Roos could retire the side.

The Cardinals will look to keep their hot hitting alive at 4 p.m. on Thursday when they host Rochester Institute of Technology at Dugan Yard.
