GLASSBORO, NJ- Senior Tyler Cannon slugged two home runs, one which was the 200th hit of his career, to lead #19 Rowan past Immaculata, 9-5, in non-conference baseball action this afternoon. The Profs are now 21-10 (7-7 NJAC) heading into the final four regular-season games.
 
Cannon went 2-for-4, scoring three runs and driving in four. He hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give Rowan a 6-0 lead. That would be the milestone hit, the 200th in his three seasons with the Prof. He duplicated the effort in the sixth, with another two-run home run. It marked the second time this year he had a pair of home runs in a game, as he did so in the season opener.  
 
Freshman Brayden Davis pitched the final three innings, only allowing one run, and striking out three to earn the first save of his career. Jake Reese made the start and went 4.1 innings, striking out five, while reliever Nick Cugino (1-0) earned the win in an inning of work. Jaxon Casdia also pitched a scoreless inning before Davis took over.
 
Rowan took the lead in its first at-bat as Cannon walked and eventually scored on a wild pitch after advancing on a double by Phil Sedalis. Pat Defeciani knocked in Sedalis with a sacrifice fly to give the Profs a 2-0 lead. Chris Serrano followed in the next inning with a two-run double that scored Anthony Schooley and Karson Harcourt, putting Rowan up 4-0.
 
After Cannon's first home run, Immaculata (20-13) would score four runs in the fifth inning to pull within, 6-4. But the Profs' senior second baseman answered with his second homer in the sixth, which scored Serrano, to provide an 8-4 cushion for Rowan.
 
Serrano hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh to bring home Dylan Maria as the Profs extended the lead to 9-4 before the Mighty Macs added one more in the top of the ninth.
 
Serrano was 2-for-3 on the day with a career-high three RBI. Rowan hit six doubles in the game, led by Sedalis with two. Jason Morgan had one double as he totaled two hits on the day as well.
 
The Profs will host Rutgers-Newark on Thursday before returning the game up north on Friday. Rowan closes out the regular season with a doubleheader against NJCU on Saturday.
