    The ball was flying out at McBane Field, with a combined six longballs hit across the Guilford College baseball team’s Senior Day doubleheader split with the 2023 National Champion University of Lynchburg, falling 12-2 in the opener before ending the regular season on a high note, defeating the Hornets 10-5 in the night cap in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

    KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team was swept in an Empire 8 doubleheader by Russell Sage College on a rainy Saturday at Kuhl Field. Keuka College (8-23, 5-9 Empire 8) dropped the opener 19-2 and then fell in the nightcap to the Gators 17-4.

    FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Christopher Newport starter Dylan Weber combined with two relievers for a three-hit shutout on the road in Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon as the Captains (23-8, 2-1) earned an 11-0 blanking over Mary Washington. Weber tossed seven strong innings to lead the way as CNU notched its third shutout of the season while the offense was led by a career-high five hits from sophomore outfielder Ayden Stuffel.

(4/27/2024) – Senior Brennan Hyde hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning of game one to give the Nichols College Baseball team the win, before graduate student Patrick Sawyer, juniors Sean Ryan, and Nolan Sullivan silenced the #23 Roger Williams Hawks for a sweep in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday. The Bison swept the Hawks 7-6 and 8-5 from Paolino Field.

    PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State baseball team clinched a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) playoff berth on Saturday, splitting a doubleheader with Brockport. The Cards also celebrated six seniors in between games honoring Eric Agan (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), Ben Catrambone (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna), Nick Cergol (Mount Sinai, N.Y./Mount Sinai), Jack Defayette (Rotterdam, N.Y./Schalmont), Tyler Kohn (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North), and Chris Santic (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland). Andrew Veit (Yaphank, N.Y./Bellport) was the catalyst in the game two win for Plattsburgh, as the graduate student went the distance, throwing a complete game allowing just two earned runs over nine innings. It is the first nine-inning complete game in almost a year as Sean Malamud last went the distance in his final outing as a Cardinal on May 5, 2023.

    TIFFIN, Ohio — Marietta College earned a split at Heidelberg University Saturday (April 27) afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference baseball action. The Student Princes won game one, 2-0, and Marietta took game two, 5-3. The Pioneers are 18-17 overall and 10-6 in the OAC. Heidelberg moves to 21-14 overall and 8-8 in the OAC.

    No. 22 Penn State Harrisburg opened its weekend series against United East foe Penn College with a 10-0 shutout victory at historic Bowman Field on Friday afternoon. The Lions needed just four hits to reach double figures, thanks in part to 10 walks and three errors by the Wildcats. Drew Sassaman drove in two runs and Brendan Henn scored two more. Danny Eden earned the win on the mound, throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts.

    BRISTOL, R.I. – The No. 16 Eastern Connecticut State University baseball team let a five-run lead midway through the game slip away, and Roger Williams University rallied for three runs without an out in the bottom of the ninth inning in a 12-11 victory Thursday afternoon at Paolino Field.
