The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its twelfth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the seventh Team of the Week of the 2024 season.

Games of March 25-31, 2024

C  Jed Downham, Sr., Anderson

Downham went 4-for-7 with two homers, three RBI and three runs as Anderson split Saturday's doubleheader with Hanover. He finished with a slashline of .571/.625/1.429 and threw out the only runner that attempted a stolen base.

C  Daniel Rogers, Sr., Loras

Rogers went 8-for-10 (.800) from the plate over two games. He scored six and drove in seven. He slugged 1.500 with a double and two home runs.

1B  Dane Camphausen, Sr., Case Western Reserve

Camphausen helped to lead the Spartans to three wins in four games against conference rival Emory last weekend, going six-for-10 (.600) with 13 runs batted in, four runs scored, two home runs, two doubles, and a walk. Camphausen slugged 1.400 for the weekend with a .583 on base percentage for a 1.983 OPS over his three games played.

2B  Tommy Kreider, Jr., New Paltz

Kreider continued his breakout season for the Hawks, hitting .714 (10-for-14) through four games on the week to help his team to a series win over Fredonia, and a non-conference victory over Maritime. On the week, he totaled 10 hits, 10 runs, three doubles, two RBI, six walks and three stolen bases, striking out just once, while compiling a .800 on base percentage and slugging percentage of .929. Defensively, he solidified second base with a perfect fielding percentage, totaling 18 total catches, 11 putouts, seven assists and turned two double plays, both pivotal, as it kept the game tied at 12-12 in the eighth against Maritime where they later won, 14-12 in extras.

SS  Kosta Drosidis, Gr., Anna Maria

Drosidis batted .765 (13-for-17) on the week with eight runs scored and seven RBIs. He had five extra-base hits - three doubles and two home runs as his team went 3-1 on the week.

3B  James Murphy, Sr., St. John Fisher

Murphy batted .842, going 15-for-19 on the week with six walks, 13 runs scored, 11 RBI and seven stolen bases, as the Cardinals opened E8 play with a 4-1 record. .

OF  Sam Angelo, Sr., Montclair St.

Angelo batted .692 (9-for-13) with a double and two home runs. He scored eight runs and drove in seven.  He walked once as he got on base at a .733 clip.

OF  Quinn Blackman, Sr., Rhodes

Blackman had a big weekend, hitting .700 (7-for-10) for the week with 2 home runs and a double for a 1.400 slugging. He score four and had six RBIs.

OF  Jacob Charon, Sr., Lawrence

Charon continued his hot hitting in Lawrence's three-game road sweep at Cornell. Charon hit .667 by going 10-for-15 with one double, three homers, six runs scored and 12 runs batted in.

OF  Brayden Kohls, Fr., Gustavus Adolphus

Kohls went 6-for-8 (.750) at the plate in the Gusties' sweep of Augsburg in the first conference series of the season. In his games, he had three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.

DH  Nik Panico, Sr., Aurora

Panico hit .692 (9-for-17) with three home runs, three doubles, drove in 10 and scored six runs on the four game week for Aurora. He slugged 1.615 with a .765 on-base while adding two walks and two HBP to his resume on the week.

SP Nick Guidas, Sr., Grove City

Guidas threw a one-hitter last Monday in Grove City's 2-1 victory over Westminster (Pa.).  He struck out eight, walked just one and did not allow an earned run in his complete game performance. Guidas, who only allowed a single in the third inning, retired the side in order in six frames, including the final nine batters in a row.

SP Michael Hilker Jr., So., UW-Whitewater

Hilker had a no-hitter going through eight innings in Saturday's second game against UW-Stout. The sophomore started the game with nine consecutive strikeouts and didn't allow a baserunner until the fifth inning. Hilker fanned 17 Blue Devil batters ? second-most in a game in Warhawk history - in 8.1 innings of work for the win.

SP  Addison Hochevar, Sr., Saint Mary's (Minn.)

Hochevar pitched a one-hit shutout over seven innings of work to preserve a 1-0 victory for the Cardinals over Hamline in the conference opener. The senior southpaw allowed a one-out single in the first inning and walked one batter in the game, striking out five in total.

SP  Luis Misla, Jr., Cortland

Misla was dominant on the mound in two Cortland victories during the week. In a 4-1 win at Oneonta on Monday, Misla tossed a complete-game three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and two walks. On Saturday in a 3-0 home victory over Plattsburgh, he tossed five no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and two walks. Misla finished the week with a 0.64 ERA, three hits allowed, 21 strikeouts and four walks in 14 innings.

RP  Ryan Karman, Fr., Coast Guard

Karman made two relief appearances for the Bears, throwing 6.2 innings without allowing a hit. Karman picked up a win against Albertus Magnus, striking out three in 3.0 innings. He then threw 3.2 innings against Clark, striking out three in the win.

RP  TJ Spitdowski, Gr., LeTourneau

Spitdowski was clutch out of the bullpen to help LeTourneau to a series win over No. 24-ranked UMHB. He made two appearances and went 1-0 with a save and allowed just one run and one hit over five innings in the series. He tossed the final 1.2 innings in a game one victory, inducing a double play after entering with the two on in the eighth and holding a one-run lead, and retired the side in the ninth to collect the save. In a game two win, Spitdowski went the final 3.1 innings and surrendered just one run on one hit to earn the win as the YellowJackets won in extra innings.
