McDaniel scored four runs in each the second and eighth inning to defeat Marymount 8-1 in non-conference action on Wednesday. Marty Windisch went eight innings on the hill for the Green Terror (3-0), scattering seven hits and striking out three. He also had a hit and an RBI at the plate.

The Otterbein Cardinals picked up a hard-fought victory at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic, scoring twice in the ninth inning to upend SUNY Old Westbury by a score of 3-1 and move to 5-0. Craig Prince gave a strong performance in his season debut for the Cards, striking out eight Panthers and allowing just one run over six innings.

Catholic put up 14 runs on the board as they handed no. 18 Mary Washington their first loss of the season, 14-6. Joe Kelly earned the win on the mound and Crist led the offense with four hits.

Kyle Walsh hurled a one-hit, complete-game shutout as the Averett Cougars crushed Washington & Lee University 8-0 at Dick Smith Field.  Walsh kept Washington & Lee on its toes all game only allowing a single, while striking out eight. Walsh also drove in two RBIs to help his cause.

Lyndon State closed out their trip to Florida with six-run rally in the top of the ninth inning to top Lourdes 8-6. Reece Tanguay led the Hornets offensively going 3-for-5 at the plate, scoring two runs and batting in one.

Methodist earned a 9-3 neutral-site win over York (Pa.) at the Ripken Complex in Myrtle Beach, S.C. On the night, Ray  Lanners was 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored to lead the offense.

Scarlet Raptors' Billy Jackson put a chill in the bats of opposing Penn State-Abington over his six innings of work and Rutgers-Camden took advantage of 12 walks, seven hits and three hit batsmen as it defeated the Nittany Lions, 10-3. Jackson allowed only two hits and one unearned run over six innings, striking out four, as he picked up where he left off during his stellar junior season in 2015.

The Piedmont pitching staff strung together a stellar performance with a combined four-hit shutout for an 8-0 victory over Rhodes. The Lions had a total of 12 hits in the contest combined with three errors by the Lynx. Max Bening earned the victory marking his first of his career as he went five innings giving up four hits while striking out four batters.

The Gents may not have scored in the first inning, but with a pair of hits, the tone was set early. Centenary (La.) put eight runs on the board in the next four innings while the Patriots only had one runner advance to third as Centenary knocked off no. 17 Texas-Tyler (9-4) for the second time this season, 8-0.

Senior first baseman Andrew Niech ripped a three-run go-ahead double to left center in the top of the eighth inning as New Jersey City rallied for an 8-6 victory over Stevens to open the 2016 season in this year's installment of the Light Rail Rivalry.

Blake Mahoney hit a walk-off single to drive in David Fitzgerald in the 4-3 win over Alma. Max Langheinrich pitched a complete game and tied Wartburg's single game school record with 13 Ks. Later in the day, Alma used a three-run eighth inning to capture a 4-1 victory against Cleary.

Neumann used a 14 hit effort to knock off St. John Fisher 9-7 on its spring break trip in Florida. Cody MacNair tallied five hits in the effort to lead the offense. Eric Bergman added four hits of his own in the win.

Luke Spisak pitched into the 7th and Eddie Kilkeary hit a two-run home run as the Bearcats defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering by a score of 8-4 in Auburndale, Fla. Spisak worked 6 2/3 innings, giving up three earned runs. Alex Augustine came on to work the final 2.1, giving up just one hit.

Josh Shepherd's bases-loaded single with no outs in the bottom of the tenth inning lifted Guilford to a victory over Greensboro, 7-6. Errors played a big role in the game as both teams committed four in the game. Guilford was able to push across two unearned runs in the ninth to force the extra frame.

Eastern Mennonite had a successful wrap to their season-opening 10-game home stand, rolling over Southern Virginia 8-2 in Harrisonburg.  The 8-2 Royals have the best start in Coach Ben Spotts' four seasons. The Royals will travel to face Roanoke, 7-5 winners over Ferrum, this weekend.

Millsaps earned their fourth win of the season with a 5-2, non-conference victory over Adrian at Twenty Field.  The win improves the Majors to 4-6 on the year, as the Bulldogs fall in their season opener.  Nine different pitchers took the mound for Millsaps tonight, giving up a combined two runs on seven hits in 40 batters faced.  The Majors took the lead early with a two-run second and scored once in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings en route to the victory.
