Brandon Mitchell knocked an RBI ground rule double to score Patrick Gavin in the bottom of the tenth inning to give Claremont-Mudd-Scripps a 9-8 walk-off win over Texas-Dallas on Sunday morning. The Stags held an 8-1 lead midway through the game, but the Comets scored seven runs across the seventh and eighth innings to force an extra frame. After the Comets stranded a runner at third in the top of the tenth, the Stags scored their first run in five innings with Mitchell's double. The win wraps up the Stags' Arizona trip and improves CMS to 4-3 on the young season.

Bret Leiferman got the win on the mound and also scored the game-winning run to lead the Concordia Texas Tornados to a 12 inning 6-4 win over Redlands Sunday at Kino Sports Complex. Leiferman, a junior from Round Rock, Texas, went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI at the plate while also throwing 2.0 scoreless frames as CTX moved to 4-3 on the season.

Behind a four-hit, four RBI performance by senior first baseman Gonzalo Sosa, LeTourneau bounced back in a big way to defeat Hardin-Simmons by a final score of 8-4 at AirHogs Stadium in Grand Prairie, TX. With opening weekend complete, LeTourneau improves to 2-1. HSU falls to 1-2 with the loss with all three games coming at the Rusty Greer/Jackie Moore Collegiate Classic. Outside of a three-run first inning and a single run in the bottom of the seventh, the YellowJacket pitching staff limited Hardin-Simmons to just five hits spread out through the other seven innings while collecting eight hits of their own and taking advantage of two HSU errors.

Max Gordon doubled in two runs and then scored later in the first inning as the Lewis & Clark Pioneers took an early lead in Sunday's game with the Puget Sound Loggers, only the see the advantage disappear. A three run sixth secured the Pioneers first win of the season, 6-4 over the Loggers. In the final game for the Pioneers in the Northwest Conference Preseason Tournament, Lewis & Clark allowed a four-run fourth inning and lost to the Pacific Boxers, 5-3.
George Fox scored 14 runs on 18 hits, highlighted by a school-record eight doubles on the way to a lopsided 14-4 win over Whitman, their sixth straight victory. Jantzen Tamanaha, Chase Fetzer, Dillon Blankenship, Houston Thom, and AJ Valencia all hit doubles with Sam Swenson doubling three times. George Fox finished their games in the Northwest Conference Preseason Tournament on Monday with an early game with Puget Sound.
Alex Gregory earned his first-career win on the mound against Linfield, aiding Pacific Lutheran in picking up a 7-5 win to close out the Northwest Conference Preseason Tournament. Gregory's performance was exactly what the Lutes needed in their final contest before Northwest Conference play begins next Saturday. Gregory scattered eight hits over six innings of work. He gave up five runs, but made up for it with seven strikeouts. The bullpen was outstanding. It started with an appearance from Janson Pederson. Pederson went two innings, allowing just one hit. Jacob Mortensen came on for the save. He faced the minimum, striking out a batter on his way to closing the game for the Lutes. Linfield defeated Whitworth 7-5 earlier in the day.
Pacific picked up a pair of two-run victories to extend its winning streak to four with a 5-3 win over Lewis & Clark and 3-1 victory over Whitman at Chuck Bafaro Stadium. The Boxers (4-4) evened its record at .500 with the two wins after starting its season with four-straight losses in a season-opening trip to Shreveport, Louisiana to face nationally-ranked Centenary and fellow West region foe East Texas Baptist. Pacific starting pitcher Sam Lawrence in game one and Trevor Quinn in game two played a key role in both wins for the Boxers. Lawrence went five innings, scattering five hits and five strikeouts en route to the win. Quinn settled down after allowing an unearned run and three hits in the first inning, allowing four hits in 7.1 innings and striking out seven in a winning effort. Reliever Cole Kanazawa earned a pair of saves on the day. He pitched the final 1.1 innings, allowing two hits for his second save against the Pioneers. In the nightcap, he came on to pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth. The senior answered the challenge, getting a fly out and a strikeout to for his second save of the day and his third save of the weekend.
