One big inning by visiting Ramapo (21-11, 6-5 NJAC) cost William Paterson (19-10, 6-5 NJAC), 10-1. The Roadrunners rang up eight runs on six hits, a hit by pitch, three walks, a sacrifice fly, one error and a passed ball during the top of the third inning. Rutgers-Camden also used a big inning, seven runs in the sixth inning, to down Stockton and spoil a tight pitching duel between Scarlet Raptor senior Carter Fichter and Osprey sophomore Ryan Moore.
SUNY Old Westbury rallied in the ninth and came away with a 10-9 non-conference home win in 10 innings over the Lehman Lightning (14-15) from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex. Old Westbury (13-13-1) is now 14-1 versus Lehman since 2007. With Jonathan Dastagirzada on second base, Jese Russo hit a two-out walk-off double off reliever Jarret Oehler (L, 4-5: 3 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, K) to settle the 10-9 final in 10 innings. Chris Sanicola (1-0) fanned three batters (one walk) and allowed one hit in three scoreless innings of relief to earn Old Westbury's win.

Concordia (Wisc.) was eager to get out on the field after a week off following a disappointing performance last week against Marian. The Falcons showed just how eager they were in sweeping the No. 8 team in the country, five-time defending NACC champion Concordia Chicago Friday at Kapco Park. CUW scored the winning runs in the eighth in both games, taking game one 6-4 and the nightcap 11-10.
St. Vincent earned a pair of victories in Presidents' Athletic Conference action, defeating Chatham by scores of 5-4 and 5-3. In game one, came back from a three-run deficit to win 5-4 on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 9th inning. In game two, Matt Evans earned the win with a strong relief performance as Matt Morrone provided a 2-run double and Bobby Finn hit his PAC-leading 8th home run of the year to lift the team to the win.
Senior Timmy Pilrun pitched a complete-game five-hitter and allowed only one earned run as the Muhlenberg baseball team edged Haverford, 3-2, for its second consecutive win. Pilrun faced only three batters over the minimum in the final seven innings en route to his second consecutive nine-inning complete game. In two career starts at Haverford, Pilrun has allowed two earned runs and eight hits in 16 innings.
Coleman Hendershot hit three home runs and knocked in seven runs as New York University rolled past host Brandeis University, 12-7, in the first of four University Athletic Association (UAA) games scheduled for this weekend in Waltham, MA. NYU (23-7) scored six runs in the fifth inning to turn a 2-2 tie into a comfortable 8-2 lead over the Judges (2-19).

Bethany scored 22 runs in its two-game sweep of Geneva at its home-opener at Bethany Park. Nick Gross (3-4) went 7.2 innings and held Geneva to four runs on eight hits with four strikeouts to earn the win. In an offensive battle, the Bison held off a late surge by Geneva to claim a 16-12 win and a two-game sweep.
The SSA tournament continued on Friday with both hosts earning spots in the bracket championship games. Rhodes was a 10-4 winner over Oglethorpe and Berry shutout Birmingham-Southern 15-0 to advance to the bracket championship game. Millsaps eliminated Hendrix 6-5 and Centre did the same to Sewanee 5-2 in the middle round games. Both winners will face another elimination game in the evening with a spot in the bracket championship game on the line.

Freshman Nick Henrichs blasted a pair of home runs, added a double and drove in four runs to help lift Buena Vista past Coe in the opener of their three-game weekend series that was shifted to Cedar Rapids. Henrichs was 3-for-3 with his four RBI and three runs scored, Peyton Rennning also finished with three hits, including a pair of doubles, while Bryce Rheault also doubled, finished with two hits and two runs scored. BVU finished with 13 hits in the contest, including six for extra bases. Coe, meanwhile, tallied 10 hits, but only one went for extra bases.
Senior Jake Fling tied the Wooster's single-game record with six runs scored, the fourth of which marked the centerfielder's 200th for his career, and the second-ranked Fighting Scots put on another offensive clinic during a 24-14 win over Muskingum at Mose Morehead Field in New Concord, Ohio. With the victory, Wooster extended its winning streak to 18. Fling became the eighth Scot (23-3) great to score 200 runs and his base knock moved the centerfielder past W Association Hall of Famer Trevor Urban for seventh all-time in program history. Fling finished the day at 235 hits, thanks to a ninth-inning double. He later scored in the inning for his sixth run of the game, and in doing so, matched former Wooster great Stu Beath's single-game program benchmark that was set against Heidelberg.
Wilmington snapped an 11-game losing streak by splitting an OAC series at Capital. The Fightin' Quakers took game one 4-3 while the Crusaders won the nightcap 6-2. Capital threatened to score in the eighth and ninth innings by getting multiple runners on base, but Wilmington's defense gave starter Jarett Trautman his first collegiate complete-game victory by ending both threats with double plays. Trautmann allowed a dozen hits in the game while not striking out a batter but stranded nine runners on base and only allowed two earned runs
Trailing 4-2 in the fifth, the Houghton Highlander offense came alive. Capped by a triple to right-center by Ben Closson, the Highlanders scored four runs in route to a 7-5 victory over the Elmira Soaring Eagles. Houghton dug themselves an early hole, giving up two runs in the first while only one ball left the infield. Following the rocky start, Highlander starting pitcher Brandon Joslin settled in, allowing only two more unearned runs in the fifth before leaving with a two-run lead. Back-to-back doubles by Closson and Nick Melchiore in the second put the Highlanders on the board before John Zamites tripled to left-center and Closson singled him home in the fourth. Houghton added one additional run in the seventh when Tage Johnson doubled off the wall in right-center and Zamites ripped a line drive off the wall in right two batters later.
Bates scored five runs in the fourth inning and the Bobcat bullpen sealed the deal for an 8-7 win over the Trinity College Bantams Friday. The Bobcats (11-12, 4-3 NESCAC East) had an 8-1 lead before the Bantams (13-11, 7-3 NESCAC East) scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to chase Bates starter senior captain Connor Russell from the game. Junior Alex Simon got the final two outs of the sixth and tossed a scoreless seventh. He recorded the first out of the eighth inning before head coach Jon Martin brought in senior captain Jake Shapiro for the five-out save. Shapiro got the job done, retiring all five batters he faced for his fourth save of the season.
Piedmont picked up a shutout victory over Lynchburg on Friday thanks to a stellar effort by the pitching staff. The Piedmont pitcher's combined for a 13 strikeout performance led by starter Sam Carpenter who pitched seven innings with seven strikeouts. Both starters took the decision as Carpenter moved to 7-1 while Hunter Campbell is now 0-5. Piedmont was out-hit in the contest 9-8 but the Lions made them count when they recorded hits.
