Senior Matthew D'Ambrosia had not just a career night, but a historic night in the Muhlenbergs 5-0 win over Lesley. The righty set both the career and single-game program record for strikeouts while tying the Centennial Conference single-game mark. D'Ambrosia entered the night six strikeouts shy of the program record of 203. It took him just 10 batters to become the Mules' new strikeout king with a pair of punchouts in each of the first two innings before retiring the side in order on swinging strikeouts in the third. He went on to strikeout at least two batters in each of the first six innings then capped the game by striking out the side in order in both the eighth and ninth innings. His 21 strikeouts on the night broke a single-game program record that had stood since 1965 and tied a CC record that has stood since 2011. The performance comes in one shy of the NCAA Division III record that has been done three times, most recently in 2003.

Saint John's (Minn.) ended its spring-break trip with a 16-6 win over Alvernia in Ft. Myers, Fla. The Johnnies (7-1 overall) cracked 20 hits, including seven for extra bases, in the win and ended the trip with a team batting average of .380. Senior outfielder Wyatt Ulrich entered the trip's finale tied with former teammate Max Jackson '19 for the SJU record of 132 career runs scored and broke it with his game-tying run (6-6) in the fourth inning. He also scored in the sixth inning and is approaching a number of other SJU records. He is one triple away from Matt Boys' '11 record of 11, and 10 stolen bases and 24 hits away from both marks held by Jackson (52 stolen bases, 209 hits).

With a third-inning, run-scoring single on Friday, Hope right fielder Mason Opple became the Flying Dutchmen's all-time baseball leader in career runs batted in. The senior from Hudsonville, Michigan now has 120 runs batted in over 127 games after Friday's 15-7, season-opening victory at Franklin.

There are pitchers duels, slugfests, close games, and walk offs. Then there was what happened last night. MSOE sent records crashing to the ground and all but destroyed home plate as they scored a whopping 35 runs to take down the Bearcats of St. Vincent in Florida 35-6. It started off like a normal contest out on the diamond. In fact, MSOE (5-3, 0-0 NACC) started out on the losing end of things after a St. Vincent (2-4) three run first inning put the Raiders down 3-1. The Red & White quickly responded though, plating four in the top of the second, three in the third, and five in the fourth to build an already impressive 13-3 lead. After the Bearcats added two in the bottom half of the fifth, the Raiders opened the floodgates. MSOE scored an insane 12 runs in the top of the six and another 10 in the seventh to enforce the mercy rule. What was left when the dust settled was a Raiders 30 run win that broke the following records: Josh Beier tied the NACC record for most runs scored in a single contest. The Raiders broke the NACC record for most runs scored in a single contest. The Raiders broke the NACC record for most RBIs in a single contest

It was a record-setting day for Covenant as the Scots pummeled visiting Averett, 22-0, in seven innings on a chilly and blustery day atop Lookout Mountain. Covenant (8-4, 4-0 USA South) hit a program record five home runs, including two from Kenny Mills, and Trevor Grapenthin tied a single-game program record with six RBIs in the win. The Scots scored a program-record 15 runs in the third inning, while sending 19 batters to the plate. It was the most lopsided win for Covenant since a 29-4 victory over Greensboro on March 22, 2014.

The bats came alive as New England College scored 20+ runs in both games, as the Pilgrims swept Lehman at The Ripken Experience.-Seven different players hit nine home runs between both games with three of the grand slam variety. This was the first time Lehman and NEC have played each other.

Ursinus walked off Pitt-Greensburg, then the Bears ran them over. Alex Mumme delivered the game-winning solo homer to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning of a 3-2 victory in Friday's spring break opener, just the appetizer for a historic performance in the nightcap. Ursinus put up 13 runs in the third inning – the second-highest total in program history – on the way to a 22-0 rout and a scintillating sweep in the Sunshine State.

Texas-Dallas erupted for five runs in the 8th inning Friday to break a 3-3 tie and cruise to an 8-5 victory over Howard Payne in the first of a three-game American Southwest Conference series. A.J. Liu and Luke Richter both went 3-for-5 as the Comets (9-4, 6-1 ASC) completed the rally, storming back from a two-out, 3-3 tie in the 8th inning. Howard Payne (7-8, 4-3) got two runs back in their half of the 9th, but UTD closer Charles Bass held on for his second save of the season.

strong 6.1 innings while Bryant Salkind had another

John Carroll had a great day to say the least. This date was circled on the calendar as a test to see how good this team can compete against a top tier team in college baseball. They passed the test defeating St. John Fisher 4-3 and 2-1, playing their brand of baseball. Freshman pitcher Jack Kartsonas got his first career start today and he didn't disappoint. Kartsonas final line was six innings pitched, three runs, two earned runs, and allowing only four hits. That didn't tell the true story of how well the freshman kept his poise against the Cardinals. John Carroll would find themselves down again against St. John Fisher but, like before, would crawl their way back into the game. Mitch Midea got the start in game two and was able to grind out 6+ innings despite not having his best command. Freshman Matt Aukerman got his first career win in relief of Midea. Aukerman came on with one on and no outs and was able to get an out and then a 4-6-3 double play to neutralize the threat and hold the Cardinals to no runs.

Antonio Andrade continued to crush the ball as Occidental won its SCIAC opener 5-4 at Anderson Field. Andrade, a junior outfielder from Santa Barbara, went 3 for 4 at the plate, including a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and a double in the fifth. He was just a triple away from hitting for the cycle. Andrade has been Oxy's best hitter so far this season, leading the Tigers in home runs (4), doubles (6), batting average (.371), on base percentage (.472), slugging percentage (.778) and RBIs (11).

Marian defeated Luther 10-5 before falling to Mount Marty 11-9 to open their annual spring trip. Junior Garrett Martin (1-0) had a strong first start of the season going 6.0 innings allowing only three hits with 10 punch outs in the wi n over Luther. Landowski and Meyer each had multiple hits and drove in three runs in the victory.

Hood defeated visiting Cabrini 5-2 in non-conference action.Andrew Wenner led the offense with a 2-for-4 day that included a home run to left field, the first career home run for the junior. He scored twice and stole base. Jake Howell allowed just one hit and a walk over three scoreless innings, striking out four for the win.

Sophomore Drew Metzdorf went 4-for-4 with a triple in the opener and three pitchers combined for a one hitter in game two as Plymouth State swept Finlandia in a non-conference doubleheader during the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. Metzdorf continued his hot start to the season with his perfect day at the plate in game one as the Panthers used an eight-run third inning to take the opener by a 10-3 score. Freshman Richie Marique allowed just a first inning single and struck out nine over five innings in his debut as PSU wrapped up the twin killing with an 11-0 win in game two. Plymouth State improves to 2-1 on the year, while the Lions drop to 0-8.

Becker College's Bryan Mendez hit a walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh in game number two of the doubleheader to help the Hawks a split in the New England Collegiate Conference twinbill against the Blazers of Elms. Elms' Kevin Banas earned his second win of the season, giving up just one Hawk run on six hits.  He struck out eight batters in the complete-game. Becker's Omar Garrido earned his first collegiate win on the mound in 1.1 innings pitched.  He did not allow a hit in four batters faced.

For just the fourth time in program history, East Texas Baptist came away with an upset win over reigning American Southwest Conference champions Concordia Texas, 1-0. Blake Corbin had a career game recording 13 strikeouts and only allowing three hits. Concordia Texas averages five runs a game and was shutout by ETBU who is now 3-12 overall and 3-4 in American Southwest Conference. Ford Spigener led the way for the Tigers, recording a homerun for the lone score of the game. Christopher Robinson and Devyn Nicholson each tallied a hit to round out the offensive effort for ETBU. Corbin improved to 2-1 after an impressive performance on the mound. The senior tallied 13 strikeouts and allowed just three hits in 122 pitches on the night. Matthew Williams suffered his first loss of the season, dropping to 3-1 after the setback.

Emory survived a late-inning rally to defeat Mary Washington, 8-7, at Chappell Park in Atlanta. Sophomore Jack Brodsky was the lead story in the contest as the Woodcliff Lake, NJ native struck out a career-best 11 batters as he pitched into the eighth inning. Brodsky was flawless through his first seven frames, allowing one run on five hits before four straight hits to begin the eighth sullied his otherwise fine outing. With the win, Brodsky takes over the team lead in victories, improving to 3-0.

Denison's record-setting 2019 season came to an end at the hands of the Adrian Bulldogs in the NCAA Regional.  On Friday, the Big Red exacted some revenge for that loss with a 9-2 victory over Adrian at the Berry Invitational. Denison turned to junior pitcher Taylor Perrett who scattered six hits and one earned run over five innings.  Perrett struck out six and got out of a jam in the fifth by striking out B. Wood to end the inning.  In the top of the sixth, the Big Red offense went to work, breaking the 2-2 tie with five runs on five hits.

Closing out play at the Snowbird Baseball Classic with a top-25 matchup, the North Central College Cardinals scored in seven of the nine innings to score a 11-7 win over 20th-ranked Heidelberg and will return home with a perfect 7-0 record so far on the young season. In total, Cardinal pitchers struck out a season-high 15 batters on the afternoon, as Charlie Klemm finished with nine over his four innings, receiving a no-decision. Tyler Jones earned his first win of the season, while Tim Davoren retired the only batter he faced in the seventh. For the second-straight game, all nine batters in the Cardinal lineup recorded a hit, led once again by Eric Outlaw's 3-for-5 performance, scoring once while driving in three. Heidelberg went on to defeat Misericordia 5-3 later in the day.
