Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology swept conference foe Earlham College in Richmond today 3-2 and 6-5. Rose-Hulman improved to 16-10 on the season and Earlham fell to 16-13. With the two wins today, Rose-Hulman secured a five-game win streak entering this week. The Fightin' Engineers jumped in the HCAC leaderboard to tie Franklin College for second place.

Moravian College earned a Landmark Conference series victory over Susquehanna University, 3-1, after sweeping a doubleheader on the road Sunday, winning the opener 12-3 and taking the nightcap 6-4. The Blue and Grey built a 12-0 lead in the seventh in game one and cruise to the win. In the nightcap, Moravian took an early lead again and held on for the narrow victory. Senior Kevin Brandt earned his first career win on the mound with two strikeouts while senior Kyle Serman picked up his third save of the season with two strikeouts. Carmin Palummo scored three times on the day and his second run in the opener was the 100th run of his career, making him the 15th player in program history to reach the milestone. Palummo also had two stolen bases on the afternoon to move into seventh in school history with 42 stolen bases.

Oberlin College earned its second win of the season, winning game two 6-3 over the visiting Penn State-Behrend Lions after dropping the lid-lifter 7-0. The Yeomen jumped on the Lions early in the victory, scoring a pair of runs in each of the first two innings to set the tone. Lawrence Hamilton, Jake Freed, and Darien Knowles accounted for six of the Yeomen's eight hits in the game as they each had two. In game one, Caleb Caldwell went the distance for the Lions as he struck out four and walked just one in the complete game effort. Caldwell needed just 95 pitches to record the 21 outs required in the seven-inning affair.

Jarrett Scheelk claimed the league lead in home runs and Hunter Staniske extended his hitting streak at the plate, Will Michalski tied a career high in strikeouts on the mound and the UW-Oshkosh baseball team defeated Finlandia University (Mich.), 9-3, in a nonconference game Sunday at Tiedemann Field. Staniske extended his hitting streak to 26 games on a third-inning single that provided Michalski and the Titans the only lead they would need. Staniske's 26-game hitting streak is the third longest in school history and ranks ninth in WIAC history. Jeff Zappa set the UW-Oshkosh record with a 29-game hitting streak in 1996. Former Titan Brad Demmin is second in program history with a hit in 27 straight games spanning the 2008 and 2009 seasons. UW-La Crosse's Taylor Kohlwey, currently a minor leaguer in the San Diego Padres organization, owns the two longest WIAC hitting streaks at 51 and 37 games.

Penn State Altoona returned to action for its first games in over a week on Sunday afternoon, when the Lions hosted Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg for a doubleheader at Stewart Athletic Field. Penn State Altoona (7-13, 5-7 AMCC) was unable to get on track in game one, and Pitt-Greensburg (4-18, 3-9 AMCC) prevailed 8-2. But the Lions bounced back to win game two 8-7 in 10 innings to come away with the doubleheader split. Penn State Altoona struggled to get the bats going, managing just four hits and a pair of runs. Meanwhile, Pitt-Greensburg took advantage of several opportunities with runners on base, and the Bobcats won game one by six runs. After their sluggish game one loss, the Lions responded with a well-played second game. Penn State Altoona got its offense going and pulled out a one-run win in 10 innings, with Ennis delivering the walkoff sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th.

The 2021 MAC Commonwealth Tournament is set to begin next week when Lebanon Valley will be the No. 2 seed and host Stevenson in the quarterfinal round. They got some practice against the Mustangs, taking two games 6-2, and 17-9. In game one of Lebanon Valley Baseball's final regular-season doubleheader, the Flying Dutchmen used a four-run fourth inning to take down Stevenson 6-2. Lebanon Valley banged out a season-high 25 hits in game two and plated 17 runs in a 17-9 win over the Mustangs to sweep the four-game series from Stevenson. In four games against the Mustangs this season, the Dutchmen outscored them 51-15. LVC finished the regular season with a 17-9 overall record and a 16-6 mark in conference action. Stevenson finished its regular season at 11-13, 7-9 MACC.

Manchester University collected a trio of victories against Defiance College after sweeping this weekend's three-game set against the Yellow Jackets. Manchester opened the weekend series with an 8-6 victory on Friday afternoon. The Black & Gold then swept Sunday's doubleheader, winning by final scores of 5-3 and 5-4. In Game 1 of Sunday's DH, the Spartans utilized a 4-run top of the 6th inning to clip the Yellow Jackets. The Spartans broke through with a 5-0 lead through six innings in the second game of the day on Sunday. Defiance College did make things interested down the stretch after scoring three times in the 7th and once more in the 9th but their comeback bid fell short.

Casen Novak, Bret Leiferman, and Corbin Cross each picked up a pair of RBI, leading the way offensively for Concordia Texas as they took the decisive series finale against Howard Payne 7-5 on Sunday. Cross's two-RBI single gave the Tornados their first lead of the game, and Novak and Leiferman each delivered two-RBI base knocks in a sixth inning which saw CTX pull ahead again, holding on for a 7-5 win. Michael Smith picked up his fourth win of the season out of the bullpen in three innings of work, striking out four HPU batters along the way.

Powered by two home runs from Marc Ochoa and one from Eric DeVore, Heidelberg University swept visiting Otterbein University on Sunday. HU won the opener 14-10 and took the nightcap 6-4. With Sunday's wins, Heidelberg took all three games from the Cardinals in the weekend set. The give-and-take in game one continued in the bottom of the seventh. In the bottom of the inning, the Student Princes broke the game open with five runs. Zane Mirgon (2-1) picked up the win, 2+ innings, allowing two runs on three hits. Mason Metz entered with two on and two outs in the ninth and induced a fly ball to end the game. It was his first save of the season. Heidelberg got off to a fast start in the nightcap, scoring enough to offset a rally in the middle innings by Otterbein. Ryan Keane (1-0) earned the victory with 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed one unearned run and struck out three. Dylan Matuszak worked 2+ innings of scoreless relief. Cameron Deemer entered in the ninth and stranded two -- picking up his second save of the weekend.

Senior Connor Harding hit a two-out, two-run walk-off double in game one and The University of Scranton (10-6, 10-6 Landmark) swept a doubleheader against the Catholic University Cardinals (9-9, 9-9 Landmark) in Landmark Conference action on Sunday afternoon at Volpe Field in Scranton. The Royals scored four runs in the ninth in game one and Harding's heroics gave the hosts a 6-5 win before a 7-3 victory in the nightcap. Offensively in game one, junior Tyler Kirsten tied his career-high with four hits in a 4-4 performance to lead Scranton. This marked the second four-hit game of Kirsten's career after he also tallied four hits on Feb. 24, 2019 vs. Montclair State. As a whole on the day, Kirsten was 6-8 in the doubleheader with two RBI and a run scored. The junior shortstop is now hitting .442 on the season, which ranks second in the Landmark Conference.

Pacific Lutheran University remains very much in the hunt for the Northwest Conference title after taking both games of a doubleheader against Whitworth University on Sunday. The Lutes dominated the Pirates 19-5 in eight innings in Game 1 and shut out the home team 3-0 in the second contest. The Lutes exploded for a season-high 19 runs to defeat the Pirates in eight innings in the opening game of the twinbill. PLU scored in six of their eight times at-bat, including five crooked number. Freshman Jonathan Cohen turned in his best outing as a Lute on Sunday in the nightcap. Cohen tossed six scoreless innings, struck out four and allowed just four hits in his fourth career start. Tommy Snyder didn't let off the gas as he allowed just one hit in the seventh to pick up his first save of the season. "Today was big for our team," said PLU Head Coach Nolan Soete. "We bounced back from a disappointing Saturday and played well in all three phases. Trotignon and Cohen did a great job competing on the mound, we played good defense and we had a strong day swinging the bats. Overall, it was a great team effort against a good opponent."

Misericordia University swept a doubleheader at FDU-Florham, Sunday, to finish the regular season on a 12-game winning streak and earn the top seed in the MAC Freedom Championships. Garrett McIlhenney had three hits and drove in two runs and Derrick Vosburg had two hits in the opener. David McCurry scattered six hits over seven innings to earn the complete-game win. In game two, After FDU-Florham got within 3-2, Misericordia scored three runs on a failed pick-off attempt, wild pitch and squeeze bunt to take a 6-2 lead in the sixth. Madden drove in a run in the seventh and scored when Liscio was caught stealing to make it 8-2 in the seventh. The Cougars closed out the scoring on an RBI-single by Shane Hughes in the ninth.

Texas Lutheran survived a late Schreiner rally to post a 12-9 win in 11 innings and moved into a slim lead in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball standings. TLU swept the three-game road series with the Mountaineers and improved to 22-10 overall and to 13-2 in the SCAC. The Bulldogs have a half-game lead on Trinity with three regular-season conference games to play. The Bulldogs travel to Shreveport this weekend to play Centenary. The Bulldogs appeared on their way to another comfortable conference win, taking an 8-1 lead into the bottom of the eighth. Schreiner rallied for two runs in the eighth and five in the ninth to tie the game at 9-9. Schreiner had the winning run at second base with two outs in the ninth. The Bulldogs used a two-out rally in the bottom of the 11th to get back in front. Randy Huerta started the rally with a double. He was followed by back-to-back doubles from Nick Gardoni and Collin Docker. Gardoni drove home Huerta, and Docker brought home pinch runner Blake Cappadona.

Senior captain Ryan Clawson had five hits and four RBIs in game one, and sophomore Justin Woodall pitched a complete game, five-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in game two, to lead Hampden-Sydney College to an Old Dominion Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep on the road at Bridgewater College on Sunday in Bridgewater. Sophomore Owen Tappy, gained the pitching win in the 12-5 opener against the host Eagles (10-11, 9-10 ODAC), while Woodall enjoyed his first collegiate complete game and tied his career-high in strikeouts to earn the mound win in the 4-0 nightcap for the visiting Tigers (16-10, 11-9), who have won 10 of their last 12 games overall.

Allegheny dropped a pair of nonconference games to Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday. The Battling Bishops won 4-8 and 9-7 to take three of the four game over the weekend. In game one, Brett Heckert led Allegheny's offense with a 2-for-3 day at the plate. He also drove in a run and drew a walk. Patrick Page launched the first home run of his career in the top of the sixth inning. His two-RBI shot to center field was a team-high in that category. During the night cap, Ryan Dougherty recorded the first home run of his career as well. In the top of the seventh inning, he belted a three-run home run over the center field fence. His three RBIs tied for a game-high. Luke Chutko, Ben Kosbie, Jonathan Sharp and Andrew Stablewski all notched a hit in game two.

Arcadia University swept its four-game series versus King's College with two road wins on Sunday afternoon. The Knights wrapped up the regular season with a 19-9 record and will enter the postseason on a five-game win streak. The squad also set a new program mark with 102 stolen bases on the season. Trevor Mattson led the Knights offense with 6 RBI and a home run on the day. Zachary Sekelick added 5 RBI with three doubles and a home run, while Alex Madera had five hits, four RBI and three stolen bases.

Graduate Derek Lefebvre rapped out four hits (including a two-run homer) and scored five runs, as Clark University swept a non-league baseball doubleheader from Springfield by scores of 8-5 in the opener and 8-7 in the nightcap in games played Sunday afternoon at Archie Allen Field. All of the scoring in the lid-lifter came in the middle innings. Derek Lefebvre and first-year Cory Giannelli collected two hits each as part of a 12-hit attack in the opener for Clark, as junior Kevin Irwin evened his record at 1-1 on the spring by scattering four hits over four innings of work. Sophomore Nate Bonini worked a scoreless frame to pick up his first save of the season for the Cougars. The two teams exchanged runs in the nightcap before a five-run sixth inning uprising that featured senior Steven Mooney’s two-run double and an RBI single from senior Aidan Cahill before being capped by Lefebvre’s two-run blast. That round-tripper proved key in the final two frames, as the Pride responded but not enough to overcome the edge Lefebvre's homer provided.

Whitman College closed its series with George Fox on Sunday, splitting a doubleheader with the Bruins in Northwest Conference action at Borleske Stadium. Whitman topped George Fox 2-0 in the opener with the Bruins winning their only game of the series in a 5-0 nightcap victory. Julien Hernandez (4-3) paved the way for Whitman's game one win. He was lights out on the mound, scattering three hits in a complete-game shutout while striking out six and issuing only one base on balls. The series finale saw the Bruins return the favor with a shutout win of their own. Chase Fetzer and Andrew Sutherland combined for the seven inning shutout with Fetzer picking up the win in six innings of work.

Thiel College won both games of a doubleheader against the Chatham Cougars, 5-0 and 5-4 (nine innings) on Sunday. The first game was a Presidents' Athletic Conference contest, while the second game was a non-conference game. For the Tomcats in game one, Harvey allowed just one hit in nine shutout innings and struck out seven in the win. He gave up the lone hit, an infield single, with two outs in the second inning and held the Cougars hitless for the remaining 7.1 innings. In game two, Morrison went 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs, including the game-winning RBI triple. Alec Gamble also notched three hits, a run, and an RBI. Johnson had two hits and scored both the game-tying and game-winning runs.

Marian University (13-17, 9-3 NACC) earned another NACC series win after sweeping Edgewood 4-3 and 9-3 at home. The opener of the doubleheader opened with strong pitching, but some timely hitters from the Sabres allowed Marian to earn a tight win. Pitching continued to dominate in game two with the Sabres putting together a big inning late to secure the sweep. Senior Jonah Landowski had a strong performance going 7.2 innings allowing just two earned runs with 10 strikeouts, while sophomore Mac Doherty (2-0) earned the win tossing the final 1.1 innings and allowing just two hits. Bastien led the offense at the top of the order going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and another driven in.
