Sophomore Francis Kiely hit a two-run double to left field to highlight a six-run ninth inning as Babson College defeated No. 15 Denison University, 10-5, in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon to wrap up the Beavers' week in the Snowbird Classic. With the win, Babson finishes the Florida trip with a 3-2 record and improves to 5-4 overall, while Denison had a three-game winning streak snapped and wraps up its week at 4-2, dropping to 7-2 overall. The Beavers also avenged a 7-1 loss to the Big Red on Tuesday. Kiely finished the game with three hits, three runs scored and two RBI, while senior Thomas Lapham also collected three hits and drove in a run to lead the Beavers. Classmate Sean Burychka had a double and a walk in four trips to the plate, driving in two, and sophomore Tanner Santos also drove in a run in the win. Junior Charlie Glennon had three hits, including a double, and knocked in a run for the Big Red, while junior Ari Fierer and sophomore Noah Leib each finished with two hits and an RBI.

Skidmore College scored 30 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Defiance College on Thursday. The Thoroughbreds captured the first game, 17-8, and won game two 13-2. Jackson Hornung continued his torrid stretch at the plate. He had six base hits and eight RBI on the day including six in the first game. With multi-hit showings in both contests, the junior has eight multi-hit games on the season and is riding an eight-game hitting streak. He leads the Liberty League and ranks tied for fifth in Division III with 22 RBI. Skidmore stole nine bases on the day and was caught just once for a 90.9 success rate.

Freshman Tyler Danko hit a two-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Wisconsin Lutheran College the lead en route to a 14-10 back-and-forth victory over Merchant Marine on Thursday morning in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at Terry Park. The Warriors scored all 14 of their runs over the last four innings, including five in the ninth inning, to complete the comeback victory. Five different players had multi-hit games as the Warriors recorded 17 hits in the contest. Dominick and Engelhardt each tallied three hits with a home run. Danko added three RBI with a pair of hits.

Washington College split a doubleheader with Albright on Friday, taking the opener 7-0 and dropping the nightcap by a 5-1 margin. Freshman Joe Morrissey authored one of the more impressive games in recent program history as the right-hander threw a complete-game shutout in the opener and fanned 14 batters. The Shoremen now stand at 11-5 while the Lions are 1-13. In game one, The Shoremen scored the only run they would need in the top of the first inning as freshman centerfielder Cael Magill reached on an error to open the game and came around to score on an RBI groundout by sophomore first baseman Danny Sheeler. in the nightcap, the Lions grabbed the lead in the top of the third and did their damage in the fourth as they scored four times on four hits.

Oswego State continued their early season success this afternoon against Beloit College, defeating Beloit 9-4. Ryan Enos went 4-5 with SIX RBI's including a double and two home runs. This is Enos' second multiple home run game of the season as he hit three against Keystone College on March 5. Thomas Pecchia earned the win on the mound with five innings pitched, six strikeouts and no walks in eighteen batters faced. The Lakers' pitching staff combined for 16 strikeouts including the six from Pecchia, two from Ben Geiger in one inning pitched, three from Connor Van Dreason in two innings pitched and three from Tony Poveda in one inning picthed striking out the side in the ninth inning.

Franciscan picked up their fifth and sixth wins of the season on Thursday in Fort Pierce, Fla, with a sweep of Albright, 7-2 and 12-5. The Barons used a five run burst over two of the middle innings to brerak a 2-2 tie and head off to the game one win. Ryan Neely was steady all day, as he only allowed three hits in the complete game gem. The Barons got the better of the Lions by a score 12-5 in game two, as the Franciscan's bats had their best day of the Florida trip thus far. Franciscan would go on to score 10 runs in the second through fourth innings. Jonathon Perez would give up a pair of runs in the fifth, but stayed efficient through the afternoon. A leadoff Lions home run in the seventh, followed by a walk, forced Coach Carver to make the switch the Brendan Burke. The inherited runner would come around to score, but then Burke would shut it down to give Franciscan their sixth win of the season.

The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles (7-2) recorded its fifth win in a row after defeated Stockton University in an early morning game at Lake Myrtle Baseball Complex at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational by a score of 11-0. The Golden Eagles have outs scored its opponents 39-2 in the last three games. Tom Kretzler and James Houlahan lead the Golden Eagles offense in hits against the Ospreys, Tom Kretzler went 4-5 at the plate scoring three runs, two RBIs, two doubles and a big home run to end the game. Justin Pangburn and Jake Sisto each recorded home runs in the game as well as Pangburn hit a solo shot and while Sisto drove in two runs on his homer, both over the left field fence. Andrew Huffman (3-0) the reigning SUNYAC Pitcher of the week threw six scoreless innings giving up four hits while punching out seven batters during his time on the mound. Through 17.1 innings pitched this season Huffman currently holds a 0.00 ERA with 25 strikeouts. Justin DelVecchio came into relief in the seventh inning striking out two batters while giving up one hit.

Geneva College hosted Hilbert on Thursday afternoon
for its home-opening doubleheader, and the Golden
Tornadoes ended their losing streak from Florida in
the first game of the day, getting a strong pitching
effort from freshman starter Jeff Hawkins to win
game one, 7-2. Hilbert rebounded in the second game
for a 12-9 victory to split the doubleheader. Geneva's
record is now 3-8, while Hilbert is 4-9.

Carthage College (4-8) snapped a four-game losing streak on Thursday, March 17 with a 12-2 trouncing of Macalester University (1-5) at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz. While the Firebirds were due for a breakout game, they may have caught the Scots at just the right time. Macalester's game with Carthage was the back end of a split doubleheader for the Scots, with Macalester losing a three and one-half hour donnybrook to Wesleyan University, 17-16, just before they took on the Firebirds.

Allegheny outscored Waynesburg by an 18-3 count over the two games to earn a doubleheader sweep against the future PAC foe at Robertson Field. Allegheny took game one 10-1. Conor Deasy tossed five shutout innings, allowing four hits, one walk, and striking out four batters. He was followed up by Preston Pierce's season debut where he fired two innings of one-run ball. In the nightcap, Allegheny won 8-2 and had at least one run in each of the first five innings. Overall, Tyson Bryant-Dawson paced the Gators with six hits, three stolen bases, and four runs scored on the day.

Ninth-ranked Rowan (7-2) pounded out 14 hits en route to a 9-0 win over Wisconsin La Crosse at the RussMatt Invitational. Mike Miles earned the first win of his Rowan career, while Tyler Cannon went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Ryan Murphy, Patrick Deficiani, Anthony Schooley and Eric DiDomenico each picked up two hits in the win. Miles had five strikeouts in five innings while Eric Cartafalsa came in relief and pitched three scoreless innings and posted three strikeouts. David Levin finished off the win with three outs in the ninth, including one strikeout.

Dickinson scored the first five runs of the game and overcame four errors in the field to hold off St. Norbert's College by a score of 7-5 on Thursday morning at Chain of Lakes Park. The Red and White were well on their way to a sweep of the Green Knights, but due to the time limit of the field NCAA Rule 5.7.C kicked in as the teams were not able to complete the required seven innings the game was deemed a no contest. That was a shame for the Devils as they led 17-5 in the fifth, unfortunately, the game would go no further.

Moravian University rallied from a two-run deficit in the ninth inning to post a 7-6 walk-off victory over visiting New Jersey City University in non-conference action at Gillespie Field Thursday afternoon as the Greyhounds opened their 2022 home season. New Jersey City extended its advantage to 6-4 with a run in the top of the ninth as daylight began to fall. Moravian would counter with three runs in the bottom of the inning to earn the walk-off victory. Moravian had 12 hits in the game with Chris Pow and Robert Roman each going 3-for-4 with Pow adding two runs, an RBI and a double and Roman contributing an RBI and scoring once.

New York University plated four runs in the first to support Ashwin Chona's dominant start on the mound as the Violets defeated Bowdoin College, 7-5, in Auburndale, FL to wrap up their trip to the Sunshine State with a perfect record. Bowdoin rallied in the eighth, scoring three runs and cutting its deficit to two, but Tyler Judge came in and shut the door with 1.2 innings of hitless work on the mound to earn the save and preserve the Violets' winning streak. Chona went seven innings on the mound, giving up four hits, one earned run and no walks while fanning four to secure the pitching win. Despite being held without a hit, Alex VanLandingham scored twice and stole three bases for NYU. Cam Dunn finished 3-for-4 at the plate, all singles, with a pair of RBIs.

The St. Lawrence Saints had five different batters record an RBI and Drew Courtwright drove in two on the day as St. Lawrence University battled to a doubleheader split with Hamilton on Thursday afternoon in Davenport, Fla. St. Lawrence wone game one 4-2, while Hamilton took the second 7-3. Liam Reiner starred in game one pitching two and one-third innings giving up just one hit, striking out three, and securing his first win of the year. Andrew Circelli singled home Nicholas Butler in game one to give the Saints the three runs they needed to get past the Continentals. In game two, D. Courtwright drove in Circelli in the top of the second for his second RBI of the doubleheader. "Today was a great test for us," said head coach Kenny Collins "We learned a lot about the things we need to work on: timely hitting, making mid-game adjustments, and not giving up free bases. We have a quick turnaround tomorrow for our last doubleheader and need to make adjustments if we want to leave Florida feeling good."

Hood College racked up 18 hits en route to a 15-7

No. 14 ranked UW-Whitewater posted its second straight shutout Thursday with a 5-0 victory against Rhodes at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Fla. The Warhawks (4-2 overall) totaled 10 hits and scored three runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good. UW-W held the Lynx (9-10-1) scoreless on seven hits. Kade Lancour improved to 2-0 on the season by tossing seven shutout innings, scattering five hits and one walk while striking out six. Joey Pettit and Eli Frank each pitched one shutout frame in relief of Lancour. Right fielder Jacob DeMeyer finished 3-for-4 with one run scored and three runs batted in. First baseman Nick Paget collected two hits and one RBI, while Austin Wessel registered two hits and one run scored. Shortstop Bennett Frazer reached base twice with one hit and one walk and scored two runs.

MCLA finally found their stride as they closed their nine game Florida trip with a convincing 12-4 win over Maine-Farmington this morning in Davenport. The Trailblazers will head north with a record of 5-6. The Beavers are now 0-3 on the season. Leading 7-1 after three innings, MCLA put the game out of reach with a four run fifth. Randy Adams, Mazzeo, and Robinson Guerrero-Baez all drove in runs in the inning. The offensive support was plenty for Trailblazer starting pitcher Robert Correia. He tossed the first five innings and allowed just three hits, one earned run, and struck out five. Bryan Rosario threw the next three frames while Brett Norman closed things out with a scoreless ninth. Adams ended 3-5 with a pair of RBI's. Isaiah Mack and Mazzeo each ended with a pair of hits as well.

The Royals completed a three-game sweep of Saint Michael's College Thursday afternoon thanks to a five-run sixth in a 9-1 win. Making his collegiate debut, John Solfest tossed four innings of shutout baseball walking three and striking out two. Justin Winterfeldt doubled to center putting BU on the board in the fifth. The Royals broke it open in the sixth where Ty Koehn doubled and Marcus Krupke tripled both resulting in a pair of RBIs. Jordan Krupke picked up the win out of the pen striking out six through five innings of work and giving up one run which was unearned.

Colby-Sawyer Chargers split their doubleheader against Maine-Presque Isle winning game one 10-5, dropping the nightcap 13-9. Junior Cooper O'Brien started the 10-5 victory over the Owls with a solo home run in the top of the second to put the Chargers on the board. Earning the start for the Chargers was first-year Jack Mullen. Mullen collected his second win of the season facing 26 batters in six innings, allowing six hits, five runs, one walk, and striking seven batters out. In the fifth inning of game two, the Chargers matched the Owls six runs and raised them one with a total of six hits to decrease the Owls lead to one. The owls would then add three following the wild fifth en route to the win.

In a battle between Rams, featuring Suffolk and Framingham State, the team from Boston came out on top, 12-8, Thursday at Polo Grounds at the Ripken Experience. The starting pitchers for each team, Shawn Nosky for Suffolk, and Scott Nosky for Framingham State are brothers. Shawn Nosky picked up the victory behind a five-run, six-hit, four-walk, six-strikeout outing in 5.0 innings of work. His brother Scott, meanwhile, suffered the setback after allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks with a pair of Ks in 4.0 frames of action.

Senior right-hander Ethan Pritchett hurled six innings of three-hit shutout ball to lead the Rutgers University-Camden over Western New England University, 4-2 Thursday morning. Pritchett walked two and struck out nine as he raised his record to 2-0. Junior righty Nick Listro worked the final three innings to collect his first save, allowing four hits and two runs, while striking out three. The victory lifts the Scarlet Raptors to 7-6, while the Golden Bears fall to 5-2.

Alfred State added another win to the season after beating the Transylvania Pioneers 8-7 at Marquard Field in Lexington, Kentucky on Thursday. The Alfred State recorded 13 hits while Transylvania had 14 hits. The leaders of Alfred State were Matteo Avallone (3-for-4 with 1 RBI), Gavin Moore (3-for-5 with 1 run), and Bobby Sellers (1-for-1 with 1 RBI). Jack Josephson started and pitched 6 innings and allowed 12 hits, 4 runs and struck out 6. Chris Catoire (W, 1-0) pitched 1 perfect innings and was credited with the win.

UW-Stevens Point (3-0) posted three big innings in a 13-9 win over No. 11 Wheaton (2-2) in the team's opener in Florida on Thursday. Aaron Simmons went 4-for-5 and was just a triple shy of a cycle. He blasted his third home run of the year and drove in two. He also scored three runs, one in each of the big innings. Matt Baumann had three hits from the leadoff spot and also scored three times. He had one RBI on the day. Lucas Luedtke led the team with three RBI. Eight of the nine hitters in the lineup had a hit and seven different Pointers crossed the plate.

Chatham University held off a furious Juniata rally in what turned out to be one of the highest scoring games in program history, downing the Eagles 16-11 on the road. Chatham's impressive start continues to improve at 6-1. In the sixth and seventh innings, the Cougar bats came alive for five runs apiece in each. In the eighth, the game was seemingly out of reach and the Cougars only added some extra cushion. It seemed as if the Cougars could do no wrong at the time, that was until the ninth. The Eagles scored eight times in the final inning, but the Cougars had the wherewithal to end the game at 16-11. The Chatham bats were on point from start to finish, thwacking 18 hits, almost entirely singles. Six different Cougars notched multiple base hits, with first-year Tyler Cote leading the way with a 4-for-6 day.

Gustavus was locked in at the plate and dialed in on the mound Thursday in a 11-1 win in a 8 inning game over Edgewood College and 13-10 over Valley State to improve to 5-2 on the season. Additionally, veteran Damon Rademacher broke the program record in saves, notching his eighth of his career. The top of the line up was firing on all cylinders for the Gusties. The top four hitters in the lineup of Bryce Novak, Gavin Baker, Jack Hanson, and Ethan Mocchi would combine to go 10-14, with 9 Runs, 8 RBI, and one walk. The Vikings kept Gustavus looking over their shoulder in game two with a three-run comeback, Rademacher came in clutch once again for the Gusties in a pivotal eighth inning before closing out the game in the ninth to set the new program record with his eighth career save. The previous record was set by Casey Lewandowski (2015-18) with seven.

Penn State Altoona broke its recent five-game losing streak in a big way on Thursday, sweeping non-conference opponent Saint Vincent College, 10-3 and 15-8 in a doubleheader at Bearcat Ballfield. The Lions (5-8) totaled 25 runs and 30 hits over 14 innings of Thursday's twinbill, coming away with 10-3 and 15-8 victories over St. Vincent (4-4). Trailing 1-0 through three innings, Penn State Altoona tied the game with a run in the fourth, then broke things open by plating eight runs combined over the fifth and sixth innings. After a scoreless game through three innings, the Lions exploded to put 15 runs on the board over the next three, earning a big victory in game two.

The UW-Stout Blue Devils continued their winning ways on Thursday. Picking up two wins over Lasell University, 13-6 and 11-0, establishing their first win streak of the season. The Blue Devils started the morning by beating the Lasers 13-6, collecting a season high 18 hits and 13 runs. The Blue Devils were lead by Charlie Szykowny, Colin Hageman and Jacoby Endreas who all collected three hits. Meanwhile, Reese Vold and Joel Thimsen collected two hits of their own. Following the morning game, the Blue Devils would display a dominate performance, winning 11-0 for their first shutout of the season. The Blue Devils were lead by Szykowny, Schirkpe and Cooper Beving.
