Nebraska Wesleyan knocked off Coe College, 12-8, to take game one in a three-game series at NWU Field in Lincoln. It is the first win against the Kohawks since March 26, 2017, when NWU won, 7-6, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Fontbonne University extended its win streak out to 10 after a dominating 12-0 (7 inn.) win over Principia. The scoring got started for Fontbonne in the third when Carter Lee doubled to right plating Eric Creech, who led off with a single, giving Fontbonne a 1-0 lead. After a pop out and a fly-out, the Griffins made it 2-0 when Braeden Dobbs singled to right scoring Lee. Matt Helm kept the line moving with a single of his own plating Dobbs. Fontbonne scored two more in the fourth on a two RBI double off the bat of Thomas Purschke making it a 5-0 game. In the fifth, the Griffins made it a 6-0 game when Helm belted his sixth on the season over the left field wall. From there, the Griffins scored six more in the sixth with Daniel Youngblood, Helm (two), Colby Shivers (two), and Creech all bringing home at least one RBI and that allowed Fontbonne to go on for the 12-run win.

Pomona-Pitzer started out their three-game SCIAC series with an 8-1 win over Cal Lutheran on Friday afternoon at Alumni Field. The Sagehens were led by Isaac Kim and Caleb Millikan who each went 3-4 in the win while Kim added two runs scored and two RBI's and Millikan drove in one runner. Jc Ng, Jackson Fleming, Nate Jakobs and Kevin Lo all registered multi-hit games as well. Harry Deliyannis got the start on the mound and stayed perfect at 6-0 on the year after he went 7.1 innings and gave up five hits and one run with seven strikeouts. Eric Prough came in for 1.2 innings of relief work to close the game out.

Ryan Murphy went 4-for-5 and scored three runs to pace #7 Rowan to an 8-5 win at Cabrini in non-league action, as the Profs improve to 13-4 on the season. Murphy hit a solo home run for his fourth of the season and added a double while Anthony Schooley went 2-for-5 and scored two runs. Designated hitter Patrick Defeciani was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a double. Ben Iervolino earned his first victory as a Prof going five innings and striking out four. Eric Cartafalsa and Christian Bascunan closed out the game in relief, allowing just two Cabrini runs over the final four innings. Rowan opens defense of its NJAC title when it travels to William Paterson for the conference opener, with a doubleheader on Saturday.

Wartburg held on for a 3-2 win over Central College on Friday, behind a complete game start from senior pitcher Dylan Gotto. Gotto pitched a complete game and earned his fourth win of the season today. The senior ace recorded six strikeouts and allowed two runs off nine hits. Gotto's record as a starter is now 4-2 and he has pitched a total of 40 innings this season. Max Goodhue finished the contest two for five at the plate and hit the only extra-base hit for the Orange & Black. He recorded one of the teams two RBI and stole one of the team's three stolen bases today.

In their home opener for the 2022 season, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals defeated the SUNY Canton Kangaroos 10-6. Sean Malamud earned the win for the Cardinals, working around several defensive miscues to fire 6.2 innings of solid baseball. Kaden Kowalowski and Andrew Veit combined for five RBIs as Kowalowski had two hits and two RBIs and Veit had an hit and three runs driven home. Christian Lent finished the day with two hits, two runs and an RBI as the bottom three of the Plattsburgh lineup went a combined 5-8 with two runs and six RBIs.

Sophomore Patrick Solomon of Tufts University blasted a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Jumbos a 10-9 NESCAC victory over the Colby College Mules in Tufts' home opener on Friday afternoon. Solomon entered the game in the eighth inning as a pinch hitter and became the hero with two outs in the ninth. He finished 2 for 2 with two runs scored and five rbis in the game. Ozzie Fleischer and Peter DeMaria were also key contributors at the plate for the Jumbos (13-1, 1-0 NESCAC East), both finishing 4 for 5. Fleischer added a run and rbi, while DeMaria hit a solo home run in the third and crossed the plate twice with two rbis. Cole Palmeri led the Mules' (10-2, 0-1) offense, hitting two solo home runs and finishing 3 for 5 with three runs scored and two rbis, while Charlie Furlong went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two rbis.

Lancaster Bible College continued rolling in United East Play, defeating Gallaudet in game one of their three game series, winning 16-3. The Chargers (11-10 Overall, 6-1 United East) got on the board first, scoring in the bottom of the second inning and extended the lead in the third inning. Gallaudet (5-16 Overall, 1-5 United East) scored in the fourth inning to close back within five. LBC would hit two home runs, a grand slam by Blake Greeley and a two-run home run by Ethan Varricchione as the Chargers cruised to a 16-3 victory.

FDU-Florham rallied for two runs in the bottom of the eighth and first-year Colby Craig recorded his sixth save of the season as the Devils topped Wilkes University, 6-5, in the first game of a three game Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom series this afternoon at Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark. FDU-Florham, now 15-5 overall and 6-1 in MAC Freedom play, posted six runs on 13 hits including a pair of solo home runs by Tommy Moore and Jimmy Finnerty. Wilkes fell to 11-8 and 0-7 in the league today and took its fifth conference loss by just one run this year. FDU starter Joseph Kastner didn't get a decision in the start today but pitched six innings, allowed eight hits and four runs in addition to five strikeouts. Sean Wodell picked up his first win of the year in two innings of relief before Craig came on for the save.

Kyle Kingsbury shut down the York (Pa.) offense with 11 strikeouts to lead the Lebanon Valley College to a huge 13-3 victory over the Spartans at McGill Field on Friday afternoon. The victory gave the Dutchmen a season sweep over York in the first conference series of the year. The first five outs Kingsbury recorded were strikeouts on a windy day in Annville. The Spartans (8-11) got on the board first with a run in the second inning. LVC (14-8) responded with a three-run third to take the lead. Mike Bulgia hit a three-run homer and the Dutchmen added another run in the fifth to take a 7-1 lead. York scored a run in the seventh before the Dutchmen put the game away with six runs in the bottom of the inning. The Spartans scored their last run in the ninth.

The battery of Cooper Foard and Grant Manning led the way Friday afternoon at Hart Park, as the Panthers came from behind to take down the Occidental Tigers 4-2. Foard led Chapman with two hits on the day, the biggest coming in the bottom of the eighth inning when the catcher drove in two RBI's with the game notched at two to put the Panthers up by two. On the other side of the field, Manning seemed to get sharper as the game went on. He allowed his two earned runs in the first and fourth innings via Tiger singles. But settled in from there, throwing four shutout innings after the fact, keeping Chapman within reach. His quality start paid off late in the seventh inning when the Panthers finally broke through for their first two runs of the game. They scored on a bold first-and-third call to have Foard steal second, with pinch runner Austin Dudas at third. Dudas raced home on the throw down to second, and as Foard slid swiftly under the shortstop's tag, Dudas cruised into home plate. A few pitches later, Oli Sellman kept his 13-game hit streak alive with an RBI single, evening the score at two apiece. Manning seemed to get stronger as the game progressed, and coming out with a tie game for the first time since the first inning, Manning promptly shut the Tigers down 1, 2, 3. The rest was history, as the Panthers took the lead Dylan Holt came on to collect his second save of the year. This one was no trouble as the closer retired the three Tigers in order.

Behind seven strong innings from sophomore starting pitcher Reece Marley, Case Western Reserve University shut out Brandeis University 3-0 in the opener of a four-game University Athletic Association series at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday afternoon. Marley (3-2) struck out five batters and allowed just two hits in his seven innings while lowering his earned run average to 2.67. He scattered four walks and was the beneficiary of three Spartan double plays. Sophomore pitcher Tyler Horvath finished the game with two perfect innings, striking out three Brandeis batters. The CWRU bullpen has not allowed a run in its last 17 innings.

DeSales University opened its three-game weekend series with a 12-3 win at Delaware Valley University on a chilly and windy Friday afternoon. The win was DSU's eighth straight over the Aggies and improved DeSales to 65-20 all-time vs. Delaware Valley. The Bulldogs took an early 2-0 lead with two tallies in the first innings including an RBI double from first-year Patrick Kusters. DSU extended its lead to 5-2 with three runs in the third including back-to-back doubles from senior Liam Kile and junior Colin Trembley. The Aggies cut into the lead with two runs in the fifth but DeSales closed the door on a comeback with four runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh. Senior Billy Scanlon had a two-run blast, his seventh home run of the season, and sophomore Gavin Zavorski had a two-run double. Junior Ryan Rieber earned the win pitching five strong innings allowing four hits and two runs. Junior Michael Pierce recorded a save tossing three innings of relief allowing just two hits and one run. Senior Dillon Drew led a 14-hit attack with three hits, while Tremble, Zavorski, and senior Trevor Leamer all had two hits.

Centenary (La.) recorded a dominating 12-1 victory in seven innings over the Schreiner University Mountaineers on Friday afternoon in the opener of a three-game weekend Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series at Bob Henry Field. Centenary freshman LHP Tyler Herrera continued to shine as he started and pitched six innings, allowing just one run on seven hits with two walks and one strikeout to get the win and move to 4-0 on the season. He faced 24 batters and then gave way to senior RHP Conner Poche who pitched the seventh and allowed just one hit. He faced 24 batters and leads the team with a stellar 0.84 ERA. For the season he has allowed just three earned runs in 32 innings of work with 11 walks and 29 strikeouts.

Framingham State University tallied a pair of runs in the top of the eighth inning to come from behind and defeat Massachusetts Maritime Academy 6-5 this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Hendy Field. The Rams rallied for a pair of runs in the top of the eighth to take the lead for good. Ryan Boyle once again delivered with an RBI triple and Kennedy Wilson added an RBI single scoring Boyle. Scott Nosky started for the Rams but did not factor in the decision. Nosky went six and a third allowing five runs, four earned, on 12 hits with four strikeouts and no walks. Teaghin Andre earned the victory in relief tossing a scoreless inning and two thirds while allowing just two hits with four strikeouts. Aidan Abernathy earned his first save of the season tossing a scoreless ninth inning allowing just one hit. Boyle finished the game 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a homer, a triple and three RBI.

Wesleyan (Conn.) took their conference opener against Amherst by a score of 6-5 Friday afternoon. The Cardinals open up NESCAC play with a win for the first time since 2019 season, holding off the Mammoths. Wesleyan saw themselves down 2-0 in the 2nd inning, before the bats got hot in the 3rd to take a 4-2 advantage into the bottom half. Wesleyan surrendered the lead again in the 5th, but Dylan Judd '22 ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the 6th to give the Cards the lead for good. Wesleyan improves to 8-7 (1-0 NESCAC) while Amherst drops to 4-7 (0-1 NESCAC). Wesleyan took the lead back for good in the 6th. Dylan Judd hit a two-run blast to right field that drove in Jimmy Clifford to go up 6-5. AJ Karabenick '24 shut the door on the Mammoths in the final 3.1 innings, holding them both scoreless and hitless in his relief appearance.

Freshman catcher Nick Payne hit a two-out grand slam in the seventh inning to help Centenary University earn a 9-6 win over Neumann University in Atlantic East action on Friday afternoon. Neumann put a run on the board in the top of the fifth and another in the sixth and took a 4-3 lead. Centenary sent eight runners to the plate and put five runs on the board for an 8-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh. Senior shortstop Christopher Gass drove in the game-tying run with an RBI single to center. Centenary then used a single and a hit by the pitch to load the bases with two outs. Payne worked the count full before driving the ball down the left field line for the grand slam and a Centenary lead. Junior pitcher Chris Hess set the Knights down in order in the top of the ninth to secure the win.

No. 16 Loras College (20-2, 4-2 A-R-C) continued their stretch of road games to open American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) action on Friday night as they took on the Buena Vista University Beavers (11-7, 3-1 A-R-C). The Duhawks fed the Beavers their first conference loss of the season in a pitchers' duel between Davis Pasco and Buena Vista's Morgan Smith that saw a scoreless game until the fifth inning as the Duhawks secured the 1-0 win, marking their fourth-straight victory in less than a week's time. The two pitchers held both sides in check through the first five innings, seeing the Duhawks record just three hits in the game until the top of the fifth inning as Ryan Wohlers hit a double to left field with an out in the inning before moving on to third on a Joe Egan groundout. With Wohlers in scoring position and two outs on the side, freshman Max McCallum rifled an RBI single to bring home Wohlers for the lone run of the game. Pasco dished a no-hitter through the seventh inning and gave up the Beavers' only two hits in the bottom of the eighth inning while striking out five in his 7.1 innings on the mound. Ethan Peters came in at relief with bases loaded and only one out in the inning, getting out of the jam to keep the Beavers off the board and earning his sixth save of the season. The Duhawks' bats had eight hits in the game and were led by Daniel Rogers and Egan, who both had two hits in the game while McCallum recorded the game's only RBI while going 1-for-3 at the plate.

Even playing with a depleted roster, the nationally-ranked UT Dallas snapped a four-game losing streak in a big way Friday night, sweeping the first two games of a three-game American Southwest Conference series from Sul Ross State, 7-4 and 25-9. The Comets (19-6, 12-5 ASC), who made the long trip to Alpine without several regulars due to injuries and illness, turned a pair of late double plays to hold off the Lobos (10-13, 7-10 ASC) in the opener, then erupted for 27 hits in a record-setting nightcap to claim the one-sided win. Junior Zach Sanchez set an all-time UTD record in the nightcap with a six-hit game and was one of four Comets to earn a tie for a spot in the record book with seven at-bats in a single game. Junior outfielder A.J. Liu was an offensive force for the evening, going a combined 8-for-10 with a home run, and scoring five runs in the two games. The two teams meet in the series finale Saturday at Alpine's historic Kokernot Field.

Endicott hit a program record five home runs to defeat Suffolk, 13-7, in conference action on Friday evening at North Field. Trailing 4-0 after the first half inning of play, the Gulls rallied past Suffolk via the long ball to improve to 8-1 at North Field this season. Kyle Grabowski sparked Endicott in the bottom of the first inning with a three-run homer to left center. From there, Nicolas Notarangelo ripped a three-run homer to right field in the third for a 6-4 advantage. The Gulls later scored on a rundown to close out the third (8-4) before John Mulready smashed a solo shot in the fourth (8-5). Mulready followed up with a three-run bomb to left field in the eighth, while Caleb Shpur capped the scoring for the Gulls in the same frame with a two-run no-doubter down the left field line.

The Dolphins returned to Skyline Conference action on Friday, taking on Yeshiva University in two games of the team's five games taking place over the weekend. The baseball program started this stretch off on the right foot as they combined for 38 runs in two victories, 16-2 and 22-2, over the Maccabees to improve to a 3-3 conference record this season. The Dolphins were on the attack offensively in the early goings in game one, with sophomore Jake Pierre and freshman Jason Albert both driving in runs in the second inning to make it a 2-0 game. From there, CMSV never looked back, as Pierre, Albert, Engers Marte and Michael Grisanti all driving in runs. In the seven inning affair, senior Matt DiNorcia led the way with three hits for the Dolphins while Grisanti and Eric Zimmermann had two apiece. Marte, Grisanti and DiNorcia combined to score nine of the team's 16 runs. The seond contest mirrored the first, as CMSV dominated offensively. The Dolphins scored in five of the seven innings played, including seven in the second inning and eight in the sixth. Reigning Skyline Conference Player of the Year Jake Blinstrub reached base in all six tines he came to the plate (three hits, three walks) while Joey DiNorcia hit his second home run of the season in a three-hit, six RBI performance of his own. Zimmermann and Albert registered three RBI apiece while freshman Dom Porto scored four times.

Covenant hit a season-high four home runs and starting pitcher Bryce Bollinger struck out a career-high eight as the Scots took game one of a three-game series over Brevard, 14-10, on Friday afternoon. Covenant (10-13, 2-5 USA South) scored 11 runs on 12 hits, including three homers, through the first three innings, as Bollinger retired the first 10 Brevard batters in order. Bollinger (5-1) only allowed three hits and three earned runs in his career-high seven innings pitched, as he would not allow Brevard a hit or a base runner until the fourth inning. The Scots offense struck early and often against Brevard.

Adrian College got back on the winning track on Friday afternoon as they defeated Calvin University in a 10-6 victory at Nicolay Field. Due to snow in Grand Rapids, the game was moved to Adrian with Calvin serving as the home team. The Bulldogs picked up the win in the MIAA opening game behind a solid pitching performance from Maxwell Denny. Calvin struck in the seventh to make it a 9-5 game, but the Bulldogs responded on an RBI single from AJ Miranda to go up 10-5 in the eighth. Calvin double in a late run in the bottom of the eighth, but it wasn't enought as Jacob Hanoian came in to record the save for Adrian.

Belhaven split their doubleheader against McMurry on Friday falling to the War Hawks in the series opener before bouncing back to take the second game of the day. Tied at 1-1 after one inning, the McMurry retook the lead in the top of the 2nd scoring what would eventually be the winning run. The Belhaven bats were kept quiet from the first inning on and the War Hawks added runs in the 5th and 7th innings on their way to the 4-1 victory. Belhaven bounced back in a big way in the second game of Friday's doubleheader taking home a 6-4 win over the War Hawks. Belhaven starter Brett Sanchez held the War Hawks at bay and limited the damage when McMurry did generate runs holding them to four runs scatter across the 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th innings. Sanchez racked up 11 strikeouts, a new career high, and moved into 5th all-time in career strikeouts with his fourth win of the season while Luke Miller came in late to secure the save.

Sophomore Tim Petrucelli hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the eighth inning to break an 8-8 tie as Penn State Abington defeated Penn State Berks, 10-8, in United East action on Friday afternoon at Alverthorpe Park. A four-run eighth inning by Berks tied the game to set up the dramatic finish in the bottom of the inning. Berks scored three of its four runs after two outs in the inning. Ryan McCarty led Abington with three hits (3-4) as he scored three times in the game. Today marked the 32nd meeting between Abington and Perks dating back to the 2011 season. The series is now tied 16-16 with Abington winning the last nine contests.

Westfield State senior Shane Bogli set the tone in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference opener against Fitchburg State, firing a complete game as the Owls defeated the Falcons, 4-2, on a Friday afternoon from Riccards Field in Fitchburg, Mass. Bogli (W, 3-1) went the distance for Westfield, pitching all nine innings while allowing two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts. The senior right-hander only got stronger as the game went on, retiring the final nine hitters of the game to secure his third win of the season. Orion Daily turned in a quality start for Fitchburg State, logging seven innings and allowing two runs on six hits with four strikeouts.

Edgewood College opened NACC play with a statement, going on the road to sweep Concordia University Wisconsin on Friday.The Eagles rallied for a 6-5 win in the opener before a convincing 12-4 win completed the sweep in the nightcap. It is the Eagles first 2-0 start to NACC play since the 2017 season, when Edgewood College swept Rockford exactly five years to the date. The Eagles secured home wins of 2-1 and 14-3 on Saturday, April 1. Edgewood College started conference play 4-0 that season with another sweep of Dominican the next day.

Messiah beat the Hood College Blazers 8-6 on Friday afternoon, earning their 12th win on the year. First-year catcher Dustin Isanogle led the way for the Falcons, contributing two run-scoring knocks for a game-high three RBI. Relief pitcher Josh Nielsen shined on the bump, recording the final 12 outs for the Falcons to clinch his first victory of the season. Kasey Caras, Clayton Roberts, and Jarrett Gordon each registered two-hit games. Messiah recorded a total of 12 hits, the team's fifth-straight game of recording double-digit hits. With the win, the Falcons improved to 12-10 (2-0 MAC Commonwealth) on the season. The two sides met on Tuesday in Frederick, Md., as the Falcons topped the Blazers, 10-7, behind a seven-run ninth inning.

New York University used a six-run seventh inning to defeat Emory University, 6-2, on Friday afternoon in game one of a University Athletic Association (UAA) weekend series at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn. The Violets improved to 14-1 (4-1 UAA) on the season while Emory fell to 14-12 (1-4 UAA). Sophomore pitcher Jack Hassett (3-0) earned his third win of the season with seven strong innings on the mound. Grant Berman, Richard Beggy and Connor Roggero all had multiple hits to lead NYU's offense.

Nathan Hemmerling drove in three runs including a go-ahead two-run single in the sixth inning and Lakeland University shook off the rust quickly for a 12-7 win over Carroll University Friday afternoon at Carroll's Frame Park. The Muskies put up crooked numbers in four different innings and made good use of four Carroll errors to win while playing for the first time in 21 days. Lakeland improved to 8-4 overall and defeated the Pioneers for the first time since 2006. The win over Carroll was the first since a 9-5 win in the first game of a doubleheader with the Pioneers April 25, 2006. The teams had played just three times since then, including Carroll wins in the second game of that doubleheader and single wins in 2017 and on spring break in 2020. Carroll played Augustana in the evening and ended the Vikining's eight game win streal with a 7-2 triumph.

Bethany Lutheran (5-7 overall 1-0 UMAC) won the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference opener against Martin Luther (0-11, 0-1) 17-0 in seven innings Friday afternoon. Highlights of the game include: RBI triples from senior Ross Beumer and freshman Aidan Russell and senior Jake LaBerge's two-run double in the fifth. Beumer finished 2-4 with four RBIs. Junior Matt Verdugo was 3-4 with a run and an RBI. LaBerge was 2-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Junior Ben Hopper scored three runs. Russell was 2-4 with six RBIs, just one shy of the single-game school record. Junior Daniel Salinas (St. Paul) pitched six complete innings and fanned six on the day.

Jared Schurig spun 8.0 innings and the offense provided enough run support as LETU secured a 4-2 win over Concordia Texas in the series opener Friday at Conrad-Vernon Field. LETU built its advantage with a pair of runs in the third and extended it to 4-0 with two in the seventh. Schurig pounded the strike zone all night, working every quadrant of the zone and keeping the Tornados off balance. They finally scratched across a pair to tallies in the eight, cutting the deficit in half. Raul Martinez tossed a scoreless ninth to secure the victory and collect his first save of his career. Noah Pendergrass started on the mound for CTX and was saddled with the loss, allowing two runs on one hit, walking three and striking out two. Colton Hunter worked the final five innings, surrendering two runs, issuing a base knock, four free passes and fanning five. Aided by a defensive miscue, Jaggar Vaughn put LETU on the board by lacing a two-out single to right, plating Anthony Ybarra and Ethan Wood. The pair worked base-on-balls and moved into scoring position when a throwing error on a grounder by Cameron Pfafman loaded the bases. In the seventh, Devin Greaff and Wood walked with one out. After a fly out, Greaff scored when Dane Jones smoked a single between the defender and the third base bag. Wood advanced to third on the play. On a delayed steal by Jones, Wood scampered home to push the margin out to 4-0. A pair of free passes and two RBI singles in the eighth cut the advantage in half.
