The Giants refused to go away as they pulled to within one at 7-6 after a RBI double and sacrifice fly. SU wasted no time regaining its three-run lead in the bottom of the seventh, as Evan Knapp and Adam Schreck singled to start the inning. Knapp would move to third on a fly ball by Lance Book, coming in on the second of two run-scoring balks for SU Thursday. Schreck also scored later in the frame on a two-out Keystone error. That's all the scoring the game would get, as Dominic Yeager came on in the top of the eighth for the River Hawks and nailed down his second save of the season.
