The Edgewood baseball squad had a record-setting day as they returned to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action. They faced off with the Lakeland Muskies in a doubleheader. The Eagles (17-15, 11-7 NACC) claimed a sweep with 6-2 and 13-1 (7 inn.) victories over the Muskies (6-25, 1-17) while Kyle Sagan claimed the career runs mark in game two. In the opener. An error with two outs by the Muskies in the first would prove to be costly to the hosts as three runs scored unearned. The third inning put Lakeland on the board. A sacrifice fly to center field and a single up the middle left things 3-2 Eagles after three. That was as close as Lakeland would get. Xavier Schreiber hit 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a double. Brooks Kalscheur and Brevin Brisack each hit 2-for-4 with a run. Gavin Vrana tossed a complete game and earned the win. He allowed five hits and struck out seven Muskies. In game two, an eight-run seventh put things well out of Lakeland's reach. With the three runs in game two, Kyle Sagan set a new program record for career runs. His 169 runs broke the previous record of 168, set by Travis Krahn (2001-04).

Elizabethtown closed out their Landmark Conference series against Moravian, Wednesday afternoon as they defeated the Greyhounds 7-1. Elizabethtown only allowed one hit through six innings until the seventh when Moravian scored their lone run while adding two more hits. After a scoreless first inning, Etown got two runs on the board. AJ Bednar led off the inning with a single then stole second. Bednar then scored off an outfielder error. After reaching first on an error, Joe Limongelli scored on Garrett Schwartzbeck's RBI-single. The next several innings went three-up-three-down as the Blue Jays continued to hold on to a 2-0 lead. Etown got going again in the sixth tacking on three more runs. Bednar again started off with a single then advanced on Bryce Keller's single to center field. On a failed out attempt, Bednar scored on an error by the pitcher. Alex McClain and Schwartbeck ended the inning with an RBI-single each to extend the Blue Jays lead to 5-0. Moravian scored their lone run of the game with a solo home run to left field. Quinten Perilli responded for Etown with his own solo home run to start off the bottom of the seventh. Bednar recorded his lone RBI of the game to score Tyler Bohn for Etown's seventh run. Bednar went 3 for 4 with two runs and a RBI. Perilli went 2 for 4 with one run, one RBI, and a home run. Perilli also got the win on the mound as he recorded two strikeouts.

Fifth-ranked Salisbury University put up another prime offensive showing, bouncing the St. Mary's (Md.) Seahawks, 15-5 in eight innings, on Wednesday afternoon at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. Tim Petrucelli left the yard for the fourth straight game, finishing 2-for-4 with his 10th home run of the year, two runs scored, and four RBIs. Petrucelli has now achieved just the 13th double-digit home run campaign Sea Gull history, moving into a tie with three others for 10th on the single-season leaderboard. He sits four shy of the single-season SU record of 14, shared by 2023 teammates Jacob Ference and Danny Sheeler. Benji Thalheimer (2-2) authored one of the best starts of his career en route to his 14th SU victory. Thalheimer gave up one run on four hits over a career-long seven innings, walking one and striking out three on 102 pitches.

Suffolk's pitching staff combined for a one-hit performance, while the Rams offense scored seven unanswered runs en route to a 7-1 victory over Salem Wednesday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park. It was a staff day for Suffolk but all were on top of their game. Salem State's Aidan Lynch broke up Suffolk's no-hitter in the top of the seventh with a one-out single to center. The Rams infield managed to turn a 643 double play on the Vikings next hitter, Connor Dolan, to keep the three-run gap. Jack Raimo earned the decision behind 4.0 innings of scoreless work with one hit and one walk allowed to go along with one punchout. Starter Garret Roberts saw seven batters in 2.0 scoreless frames with one strikeout to his credit. Brett Bucklin allowed one unearned run in 1.0 inning of work. He faced five hitters. TJ Dimitriou, who faced four batters in 1.0 inning out of the pen, registered one K. Gregory Kaufmann closed out the contest with 1.0 inning of scoreless, hitless work. He sat down one batter.

Kevin Lehner holstered the mightiest swing of the season until the ninth inning of Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Shenandoah at SU's Kevin Anderson Field at Bridgeforth Stadium, unloading the chamber with a two-run, opposite field home run that lifted No. 22 Penn State Harrisburg to its ninth straight victory. In a game in which they managed just four hits, the Lions (28-7) found a way, led by Lehner's late-game heroics and a fantastic combined effort on the mound from starter Christian Lubic II and reliever Josh Berzonski. Lubic allowed just one run before giving way to Berzonski who earned the win by throwing five scoreless innings with six strikeouts.

The College of St. Scholastica came away with the victory in the border battle this afternoon against the UW-Superior Yellowjackets. The Saints jumped out to an 8-1 lead after four innings of play, and although the Yellowjackets added three runs in the fifth inning, the Saints six runs in the last three innings to come away with a 14-4 victory in just seven innings. Back-to-back singles in the bottom of the seventh inning got the Saints the two baserunners it needed to complete the 10-run mercy rule. After Luke Schemenauer singled to load the bases, Finley Spicer and Mason Argir both drew walks to bring in the two runs, as the Saints finished off the Yellowjackets by a score of 14-4 in today's matchup.

Allegheny battled with its rivals at Thiel College on Wednesday, resulting in a split decision for the Presidents' Athletic Conference twin bill. The Gators (20-10, 11-5 PAC) dropped the opener, 9-4, before taking the nightcap, 11-6, over the Tomcats (13-19, 9-7 PAC). Allegheny got off to a sluggish start. Thiel's designated hitter, Nick Jacobs, launched a two-run home run over the right field wall in the bottom of the first inning to give his club the lead. The Tomcats would add seven unanswered runs to make it 9-0 after five innings. The Gators scored two more in the ninth off a double from Nolin, but it was too little, too late. Recuperating and firing back for the backend of the doubleheader, Allegheny jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. In the sixth, Grant Dowden knocked in Antonio Rios on a base hit to left field, giving Allegheny the upper hand with a 3-2 lead. After reclaiming the momentum, Allegheny never looked back. They busted the game open in the eighth inning, scoring six runs, highlighted by Bryant-Dawson's second big fly of the game, this time a three-run mammoth shot over the left-field fence.

University of Chicago wrapped up their three-game series with Ripon in a unique way on Wednesday, finishing a game from almost two weeks ago before starting a brand new regularly scheduled nine inning contest. The Maroons got an insurance run to win the first ballgame in speedy fashion before taking home another victory to put two tallies in the win column in just ten innings. UChicago (14-19, 13-5 MWC) resumed their game two contest with Ripon (9-20, 6-11 MWC) that was played in Wisconsin back on April 16th but was suspended due to rain. The game picked up in the top of the ninth inning with the Maroons leading 4-3, no outs on the scoreboard, and a runner on second base. After Erik Rindner advanced to third off a Jack Goldstein single up the middle, Jonathan Zeevi laid down a perfect squeeze bunt to score his teammate and give UChicago an extra insurance run to push the score to 5-3. Grant Tenuta worked out of a jam in the bottom half of the ninth, getting a strikeout and fly out to centerfield to end the game with runners on first and second to lock down the two-run win. After a short break, both teams went straight into game three of the series which was a certified pitcher's duel. The Maroons went with a bullpen day and was highly successful starting with Phil Hogan and his 3.2 frames of scoreless two hit ball. He was then followed up David Flanagan, eventual game winner Kirk Waller, Kason Pelz, and Sam Klanot who all kept the Red Hawks off the scoreboard. The winning run came early in the contest when Braden Jirovec singled to center to score Jack Sharp to allow the Maroons to sweep the day with a 1-0 victory.

In a thrilling 11 inning game, King's College defeated Muhlenberg College 7-6 after Jacob Sutton hit a walk off single to left center to send Brennen Schneider home for the game-winning run at home on Lipo Field in a non-conference game this afternoon. Sutton also added a triple while Schneider contributed a double for the Monarchs. King's advances to 10-21 overall this season after today's win as while the Mules get setback to 8-26. The Mules tied the game back up in the top of the nineth inning. Nick Whelan hit an RBI double to right field to put 6-6 on the scoreboard. The Monarchs were unable to score in the bottom of the inning and the game went into extra innings. Schneider led off the bottom of the eleventh with a walk before Kullman put down a sacrifice bunt to advance him to second. This put him in scoring position for Sutton to send a walk-off single to left center and allow Schneider to score the game-winning run to secure the 7-6 win for King's over Muhlenberg.

Ithaca College improved to 22-9 on the season with an 11-3 non-conference win at Brockport on Wednesday afternoon. The 11 runs scored are the second-most IC has plated against Brockport in 26 all-time meetings. Logan Scully had a breakout performance for the Bombers, as he went 2-for-5 at the dish with two home runs. Scully's first blast was a three-run shot in IC's seven-run fourth inning and then the drilled a two-run homer in the seventh. With the game tied at 1-1 heading to the fourth, IC scored seven runs to break the game open. Colin Shashaty drove in the first run of the inning on an RBI single to bring in Louis Fabbo. Matt Curtis then drove home Shashaty and Camden Laney with a base hit to set up the first Scully homer. Riley Brawdy followed Scully with a solo shot to cap off the inning.

US Merchant Marine Academy scored early and often to best visiting non-conference foe Saint Elizabeth, 10-1, on Wednesday at Bartoszek Field. After learning they were featured in the first NCAA Regional Rankings of the season earlier in the day, the Mariners improved their record to 21-10, while the Eagles fell to 8-25 with the loss. The Mariners scored a run in each of the first two innings and doubled their lead to 4-0 with two in the third. They added another in the fourth before closing out the scoring by plating five in the bottom of the eighth. Four players recorded multi-hit games, with freshman Landon Troutt leading the way with three, as he went 3-for-4 with one run. Junior Travis Leatherwood finished 3-for-5 with a double, a game-best three RBIs and two runs scored. Freshman Tommy Chiappetti added two RBIs and a run, as he went 2-for-4 with a double on the night and classmate Ben Bridges stroked two doubles and was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run.

Earning a victory over No.12 Benedictine University for the third straight season, the North Central College used a five-run fifth inning to propel the Cardinals past the Eagles on Wednesday night at the Benedictine Baseball Field. The Eagles knotted the contest at 1-1 in the fourth inning, thanks to a two-out RBI double. Luke Lehnen, the Cardinals' starting pitcher, doubled to left center in the top of the fifth. After John Michael Scumaci walked, Jackson Bland hit an RBI single to left center to score Lehnen and give North Central a 2-1 lead. Trey Roach belted a double to score both Scumaci and Bland before Taylor Kujak hit a triple to plate Roach. A Yamada single to left field allowed Kujak to cross home plate and put the Cardinals on top, 6-1. A two-run inning in the sixth for the Eagles kept them in the game as a costly Cardinal error plated two unearned runs for Benedictine. The Eagles led off the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run. In the bottom of the ninth, Benedictine used a hit by pitch, and a double to plate their sixth run, but Nolan King earned the save to secure the 11-6 win for North Central.

Hobart earned a pair of non-conference wins over Elmira at McDonough Park this evening. The Statesmen won Game 1 going away 9-0 and prevailed 6-1 in the nightcap. Sophomore Alex Marancik started Game 1 and was perfect in three innings of work. He was backed by three-run homers off the bats of senior Ty Gallagher and first-year Jack Byrnes. Sophomore Cole Tarrant won Game 2 with his best outing of the season. In five scoreless innings of work, he struck out seven, walked two and allowed two hits. Hobart hit .314 (16-51) off Elmira pitching today while limiting the Soaring Eagles to .130 hitting (6-46). Christian Petry walked twice in the opener and had a single and a walk in the nightcap. He has reached base safely in every game this season and 33 consecutive games dating back to last season.

SUNY New Paltz continued its homestand Wednesday, taking on SUNY Cobleskill on Loren Campbell Memorial Field. The Hawks (21-11 overall) looked to make it three in a row after Tuesday's late inning win against the College of Mount Saint Vincent. With strong pitching from Jason Wall and Dylan Thomasson, the Hawks limited the Fighting Tigers to two runs in the 4-2 victory. The win Wednesday brings the Hawks one shy of tying the most wins in program history since the 2000 and 2001 seasons (22). "We're really excited as a team. We're not trying to think too far ahead right now," Olson said. "We're trying to stay in the present and just take it one game at a time. Today was all we cared about, just getting one more win."

Catholic tallied 18 hits in a 15-5 victory over Stevenson on Wednesday afternoon to earn its fourth straight victory. The Cardinals will head into a weekend series with Lycoming with a 26-9 record and 799 victories for head coach Ross Natoli. Catholic finished with five extra-base hits in the victory starting with Sammy Burman going yard for the fourth time this season to give Catholic a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Seven different Cardinals had multiple hits in the game led by Zach Burton with three. The graduate first baseman raised his batting average to a team-best .377 as he recorded his 14th double of the season in the process. Zelesnick and Steve Thomas became the sixth and seventh Cardinals this year to reach 20 or more RBI for the season. Napolitano made a massive impact in just his second start back from injury with two hits and three RBI. While the bats were ultimately the story, the Cardinals got multiple strong pitching performances. Freshman Luke Cardman earned the win with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen while Jake Kenney and Antonio Tufano each threw scoreless innings in relief.

No. 1 nationally ranked Endicott knocked off non-conference opponent UMass Dartmouth, 14-5, on Wednesday afternoon at North Field. The Corsairs hopped out to an early 3-0 lead in the contest, as they touched up Charlie Hale. The Gulls' offense got to work in the bottom of the fourth, as TJ Liponis cranked his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot over the rocks in left field. In the fifth, they knotted the score at three thanks to Brendan O'Neil's team-high ninth homer of the season, a two-run shot to dead center. After the Corsairs took a brief 4-3 lead in the top of the sixth, the Gulls responded with a seven spot in the bottom of the frame to open up a 10-4 lead through six full. In the eighth, the Blue and Green added four more via an AJ Hamm RBI-single to right center and a Joey Frammartino opposite-field two-run shot to left center (fifth of the season). After Stuart's shut-down 2.2 innings of relief (1 ER, 6 K, W), Bagshaw entered in the seventh. He pitched a scoreless seventh, eighth, and ninth innings to lock up the save and the 14-5 Gulls win.

Behind dominant pitching performances from freshmen Calvin Burkholder and Grayson Black, Oberlin College went on the road and swept conference-rival Kenyon College by the scores of 4-2 and 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon. It was nearly five years ago to the day when the Yeomen last beat Kenyon, taking both ends of a doubleheader against the then-Lords 8-2 and 9-2 on April 27, 2019, at Dill Field. Burkholder (3-2) twirled his second complete-game gem of the season in game one. The Aurora, Colorado, native scattered seven hits and went walk-free while fanning three. Of the two runs the Owls scored, just one was earned.

St. Norbert College split a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader with Wisconsin Lutheran College, winning the opener 18-7 before losing the nightcap 6-5 at Van Alstine Field at Mel Nicks Sports Complex. The Green Knights scored in every inning in the opener, banging out 19 hits to cuise in the opener. In the nightcap, Wisconsin Lutheran scored twice in the seventh to tie it at 3-3, but St. Norbert pulled ahead when Perry scored from second base on Geary's bunt and a subsequent Warriors' throwing error. Wisconsin Lutheran scored three times in the eighth inning to pull ahead 6-4. St. Norbert scored in the eighth when Geary's single brought in a run, but the Green Knights left two on. St. Norbert would have the potential tying run at second base with nobody out in the bottom of the ninth, but did not tie the game.

No. 2 Denison University scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to earn a 6-3 nonconference win at Heidelberg University on a cold Wednesday evening. Tied 3-3 in the ninth inning, Jake Blozy reached on a throwing error by the Heidelberg third baseman and then Jack Lutte followed with a bunt single to put two runners on with nobody out. Both runners moved up 90 feet after a wild pitch, and that would prove to be important as the next Big Red batter grounded out to second base for the first out of the inning. That led to a big time sacrifice fly to center field by Noah Leib, scoring the go-ahead run in Blozy. The Big Red would add two more runs in the ninth inning on an infield single by Colin Ravin and a bases-loaded walk by Owen Wilson, the 10th walk of the game drawn by the Big Red. Denison was also the beneficiary of three hit by pitches by the Heidelberg pitching staff. In the end, the Big Red finished with six runs on six hits, three of which came from Lutte with a 3-for-4 effort featuring two runs scored.

Lawrence University finished off Beloit College 9-4 on Wednesday in the completion of a Midwest Conference game that was halted the previous week by rain. Lawrence led 5-2 through the opening three innings in the game at Beloit when rain forced the stoppage. The Vikings added four more runs to their total at Don Hawkins Field to pull away for the victory. In the second game, Lawrence scored four times in the seventh inning to take the lead Wednesday and went on to a 6-4 Midwest Conference victory over Beloit College at Don Hawkins Field. Lawrence (24-8, 15-2 MWC) completed a three-game series sweep of Beloit (19-13, 12-9) and clinched a spot in the Midwest Conference Tournament. Jacob Charon went 3-for-4 and scored a run.

Sophomore Connor Doan struck out five over 7.1 innings and graduate student Luke Tanner and senior Tanner Santos (Bethany, Conn.) both drove in a pair of runs to help Babson College defeat visiting UMass Boston, 7-3, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Govoni Field. With its third straight victory, Babson improves to 19-9 overall. UMass Boston, which lost for just the third time in the last 10 outings, dips to 21-11 on the year. Tanner was 2-for-5 with a two-run double, first-year Dante D'Avanzo went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, and graduate student John Nowak had a two-hit day that included an RBI double. Senior Jack Julian also singled, walked and scored twice in support of Doan, who gave up just two runs in the longest outing of his career to improve to 2-0 on the season. Senior Aidan Blake went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and junior Mariano Jimenez finished with two hits, including a double, for the Beacons. Senior Logan Lawrence dropped to 1-1 on the year with the loss after giving up three runs over the first two innings.

Kalamazoo College played a single non-conference road game at Wheaton and won 6-5 on Wednesday. The Hornets' record improved to 23-8 on the season, and the Thunder dropped to 9-23. Two RBI singles in the bottom of the third inning by Wheaton tied the game at two. The Hornets regained the lead in the fifth as Lukas Bolton reached on an error, eventually got to third on a Logan Lockhart single, and scored on a Liam Regan sacrifice fly. Unfortunately, the Thunder scored two more runs in the bottom of the eighth for the 4-3 lead. This set up a big ninth inning for Kalamazoo, and the players responded. The Hornets loaded the bases with one out on a fielder's choice and two walks by Hawkins and Bolton. Pinch hitter Alex DiDio drew a bases loaded walk for the game-tying run, and Regan poked a single the opposite way for two more runs. Wheaton did get one run in the bottom of the inning, but the pitching staff held on for the one-run win.

In a game that featured three lead changes, Gustavus came out on top 9-7 against Crown College in a non-conference game Wednesday. After getting swept yesterday, the Gusties are back on track and improve to 16-14. Crown tied the game in the eighth with a double steal of second and home, but the Gusties scored what proved to be the game-winning run in the bottom half. Joe Burns hit a solo home run down the left field line and Baker later scored on a triple by Danny Gavin. Tomas Nelson came in to pitch the ninth and earned his first save of the season. Seven different Gusties pitchers saw the mound with Tanner Hopkins earning his first win of the season after tossing the eighth.

Wilkes hung a seven-spot in the third inning on Wednesday afternoon and went on to defeat Lycoming College 13-7 in the final game of their Landmark conference series to sweep the Warriors at the newly-opened Brandon Park Baseball Field. The win gave the Colonels the series sweep and pushed their overall record to 21-12. They improved to 11-9 in conference contests. With the loss, Lycoming fell to 8-26 on the season and 2-16 in Landmark play. Zack Luksic got the scoring started in dramatic fashion in the top of the first, crushing a ball over the center field fence. Moving on to the top of the third, Wilkes built the lead up to 10-0 and wento on to win. Ryan Sanderson picked up the win and moved to 4-1 on the season thanks to his 6.0 innings of pitching in which he only allowed two runs on six hits with two strikeouts.

Following a 30-minute weather delay, New Jersey City University returned home for a non-conference bout against John Jay College on Wednesday afternoon, April 24. Once the weather cleared up, the Gothic Knights got right to work, taking a 5-0 lead after the first inning, en-route to a 9-2 victory over the Bloodhounds. Fifth year righthander Ronnie Wallraff got the start on the bump for the Gothic Knights (13-20). Wallraff pitched into the sixth inning before being relieved by Danny Olear after hitting his fifth batter of the game.. Wallraff allowed two runs on six hits for his second win of the season. Olear, Yannid Narvaez, and D.J. Dekis combined for 3.0 innings in relief, giving up just one hit without walking any batters, and struck out six.

St. Joseph's University (L.I.) sent off the seniors with a 10-0 non-conference win against the City College of New York at Gregg Alfano Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Eagles got out to an early lead with four runs in the bottom of the first. Anselmo Joya sent an RBI double in the left-center gap with Lynch following with an RBI single to center. Dom Crema then belted a two-run home run over the left-field fence. After two scoreless innings, St. Joseph's loaded the bases with two out setting up a three-RBI triple off the rightfield wall extending the lead to 7-0. Senior John Lynch was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Crema went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and a run. Lynch and Crema combined to knock in three more runs in the bottom on the sixth putting the hosts into double figures, 10-0. The Golden Eagles saw their 19 game win streak end on Sunday at 19 games as they split with SUNY Old Westbury.
