No. 10 University of La Verne rallied in the second and sixth innings to beat the Whittier College Poets 8-3 Friday afternoon. The Leopards improved to 23-9-1 overall and 15-4 in the SCIAC to hold on to first place. The Poets fall to 15-19-1 and 10-9. Niko Urquidi struck out 11 batters in six innings of work to pick up his third win of the season. It's the second time this season the freshman has struck out 11 or more batters. He set his career-high 13 strikeouts in a win against Pacific. Logan Reese finished with three hits for the second game in a row. He added one run and one stolen base. Austin Klopfenstein was clutch in two innings of relief, striking out three of the six batters he faced.

In a seesaw battle between two regionally-ranked squads, fifth-ranked Salisbury University was the last squad standing, knocking down the Marymount Saints, 9-7, on a Senior Day Friday afternoon at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. Tim Petrucelli blasted his fifth home run in six games, finishing 1-for-3 with three RBIs. With 11 homers on the year, Petrucelli is now tied with Jason Ewing (2002) and Kavi Caster (2023) for eighth in single-season program history. Danny Sheeler powered his sixth round-tripper of the campaign, going 1-for-3 and walking twice. Sheeler becomes the 11th player in Sea Gull baseball history to hit 20 career home runs; the blast moves him into a tie for eighth on the all-time SU leaderboard. For marymount Quincy Via, Bobby Leitzel, and Ryan Cuadros combined to go 5-for-14 with two runs and five RBIs from the top of the lineup.

Johns Hopkins faced off against Gettysburg in its final road game of the regular season Friday afternoon, tallying 13 hits and a season-best 14 walks in a 13-4 win over the Bullets. The victory moves the Blue Jays to 15-1 in Centennial Conference play, locking them in as the top seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament for the second straight season. Like the first meeting between the teams earlier this week, it was Gettysburg (15-23, 4-12 Centennial) taking an early lead after scoring a trio of runs in the second inning before Hopkins (28-8, 15-1 Centennial) scored six runs on four hits in the third to take control. Returning to the mound to close out the game was Nicolas Jos, who retired Gettysburg's batters in order to secure his first save of the year and Hopkins the 13-4 win and top seed in next weekend's conference tournament. Eggleston earned his second win of the season after allowing three hits and fanning three in a season-high four shutout innings. Making his fourth appearance in a Centennial Conference game, the graduate student's conference ERA now sits at just 1.29 over seven innings. With their 13 runs in Friday's contest, Hopkins extended its streak of games in which they have reached double digits in scoring to eight, averaging 13.3 runs per game in that stretch.

Plattsburgh State overcame an early 4-0 deficit on Friday evening, taking down Brockport 10-7 in their State University of New York Athletic Conference series opener with the Golden Eagles. Mike Rasquin led the offensive charge with four hits and three RBI, as the team picked up their ninth conference win, their highest SUNYAC win total since 2012. Rasquin also scored a run on the evening, as Conner Gonzalski was 2-3 with two doubles, two RBI, a run scored, and a walk. Dylan Bass had a huge outing out of the bullpen for Plattsburgh, tossing three scoreless innings for his first save as a Cardinal. Kolby Mordecki earned his fourth win of the year, giving up four earned runs and striking out one. Plattsburgh State improves 21-12 (9-7 SUNYAC) and Brockport falls to 17-14 (5-8 SUNYAC) as the teams will meet tomorrow.

Arcadia University scored runs in seven different innings to open its final Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom series with a 23-6 victory at Lebanon Valley College on Friday afternoon. Arcadia improved to 27-10 overall and 15-4 in conference play. Lebanon Valley fell to 18-17 and 10-9, respectively. Emilio Pallante opened the scoring with a two-run single in the top of the second. After a Matt Donchez two-run single later in the inning, Anthony Bruno and Matthew Sot hit back-to-back home runs helping the Knights to a 9-0 lead. Arcadia added three more runs in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth, one in the sixth, four in the seventh, and three in the eighth. Will Conroy improved to 4-0, tossing six shutout innings with five hits and one walk while striking out seven.

JJ DeLawder hit a tiebreaking homer in the top of the 11th and Cortland defeated host New Paltz, 10-9, in a SUNYAC baseball matchup. Cortland improved its record to 23-9-1 overall and extended its lead in the conference with a 12-1 mark. New Paltz is now 21-12 overall and 7-6 in the league. Each team finished with 10 hits in the back-and-forth affair. New Paltz jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Cortland scored four in the second, one in the fourth and two in the sixth to go up 7-5, but the Hawks plated three runs in the sixth to take an 8-7 advantage and had a chance to go up by five runs but Cortland left fielder Mat Bruno made a leaping catch over the fence to rob Dillon Ristano of a three-run homer to end the inning. Cortland regained the lead, 9-8, in the top of the eighth on Bruno's two-run homer in the top of the eighth. New Paltz tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Nick Harvey doubled and eventually scored on Michael Ascanio's RBI groundout.

Entering the weekend needing just one win in its four-game series against Washington University (Mo.) to claim a conference title, the 15th-ranked Case Western Reserve University baseball team jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning and cruised to a 14-3 win in seven innings over the Bears to secure the fifth University Athletic Association Championship in program history. CWRU improved to 28-8 overall and to 11-2 in the UAA, moving three and a half games ahead of both WashU and Emory with three games remaining on the conference schedule to clinch the title. It marks the fifth UAA Championship in program history (2013, 2014, 2018, 2022) and the second time the Spartans will claim sole possession of the league title (2018). WashU fell to 23-13-1 with the loss, including a 7-5-1 record in the UAA. CWRU senior southpaw Reece Marley earned the win in the game to improve to 5-2 overall for the season, allowing just one run on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters. The victory was the 18th of his career, moving him into sole possession of fourth place all-time in program history.

On a gorgeous afternoon for baseball, Eastern wrapped up its home schedule with a 10-2 win over York to begin its crucial final conference series. With two more victories, coupled with a pair of York losses tomorrow at Alvernia, the Eagles will clinch a spot in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth Tournament. In his final game at The Yard, senior Evan Barks went out in style, finishing 3-for-4 with a triple, two singles, and four runs batted in. Garrett Friend and Ryan Turzani combined for four hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs, while Luke Meehan and Connor Schilling also finished with a hit and an RBI. Sean Cottrell (6-4) was brilliant on the bump once again, recording his sixth win of the season. The senior from Glassboro pitched seven innings, giving up just four hits and one unearned run while striking out seven. Zackary Bollinger was equally effective in relief, striking out three in 1.2 innings, and Carter Cranmer struck out the lone batter he faced in his final home appearance.

William Paterson (10-26, 5-11 NJAC) plated two runs in the ninth inning to capture a 6-4 road win at New Jersey City (14-21, 7-9 NJAC) April 26 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game. The Pioneers broke through first in the third inning when senior Jake Lutz launched a ball over the fence in left for a two-run home run to put WP ahead, 2-0. In the fourth, sophomore Sean McAllister singled through the left side and eventually came all the way around to score on two costly errors by the Gothic Knights on a failed pickoff attempt that pushed the Pioneers' advantage to three (3-0). NJCU scored a run in fourth and took the lead in the fifth (4-3) following a three-run frame. William Paterson evened the score at 4-4 in the eighth after a solo home run by junior Giovanni Aresta. The score remained tied heading into the ninth before freshman Ty Kobylakiewicz hit a leadoff double and scored on a two-run homer by junior RJ Mehnert to make it a two-run game (6-4). Junior Nick Durso, who entered the game in the eighth inning, pitched a scoreless ninth frame to secure the 6-4 road win for WP.

Keystone College erased an early six-run deficit to defeat Rosemont College 18-8 Friday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field. Griffin Yastremski went 3-for-5 with four RBI as he had an RBI single, two-RBI double, and a solo home run. Darren Hagan went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Jacob Yager had two hits with 3 runs batted in. Robert Estrada and Miguel Silfa (Santo Domingo, D.R./Passaic Tech Institute) each had two hits with one RBI. Drew Sorrentino got the start and tossed three innings with six strikeouts. Aidan Pawlak pitched the rest of the game in relief as he allowed one earned run and punched out five batters. The Ravens jumped out to a 7-1 lead after three innings. The Giants offense came to life as they outscored Rosemont 17-1 throughout the rest of the game.

Albright (11-23, 6-12 MAC Commonwealth) returned to conference play today against Hood College (21-15, 10-9 MAC Commonwealth) in what would go on to be a battle of the bats. After nine innings of exciting offense, the Lions would go on to win 14-7. Lucas Williams saved one his best performances for the end of the season and picked up his second win of the year pitching six innings and striking out three batters in the process to go along with only one earned run. Brenden Stuhltrager scored a pair of runs and picked up four hits to go along with two RBIs. With 30 games, all starts, under his belt the first year is currently hitting .309 with a .398 OBP and has amassed 21 RBIs. Jack Gilmer, Tommy Lewman and Roman Berretta each recorded a pair of hits and combined for eight runs scored as six Lions would go on to record a multi-hit performance. Nick Barton and Christian Eckstein also joined in on the scoring party recording a combined three RBIs and a run scored on the day. After seven and a third innings of work, the Lions found themselves in control winning 11-7 looking to put the game away. Josh Tudor would go on to put the nails in the coffin pitching the last 1.2 innings with Gorla recording another three RBIs in the eighth inning to win 14-7.

Adrian College opened its series with Hope College on Friday afternoon with a doubleheader on the road. Entering the weekend, the Bulldogs sat one game behind Hope in the MIAA standings. The Bulldogs took game one on Friday by a score of 11-3 followed by game two resulting in a double forfeit due to NCAA regulations after ejections by both teams. Adrian took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second and kept their foot on the gas through out the game, adding three more in the ninth to win 11-3. Nic Bruder drove in a run on a sacrifice while David Kedrow and Davis each singled in a run. Jakob Charles went the distance on the mound where he threw nine innings allowing three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts. Game two never finished. With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, the Bulldogs threw a runner out at the plate who collided with the catcher resulting in an ejection to the runner and the benches to clear. After both teams returned to their dugouts, the umpires ruled that there were not enough players on either team to finish the game as players were ejected for leaving the dugout. Game two resulted in a forfeit for both sides, and no stats will be counted. Tomorrow's game is also cancelled and will be a double forfiet for both teams.

Starting early on Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. to beat the weather, No. 3 East Texas Baptist University took the opening game of the American Southwest Conference series, 15-3, against the University of the Ozarks. ETBU is now 32-6 and 21-1 in the ASC. ETBU belted out 17 hits as four players had two or more hits. Both Jacob Evangelista and Michael Gallegos recorded four hits while Brett Wagner had three hits and Dylan Burnaman and Hunter Rumachik two hits. Both Evangelista and Gallegos went 4-for-6. Wagner added four RBI with a home run as Evangelista and Burnaman had two RBI and Connor Massimini, Rumachik, Cameron French, and Gallegos added one RBI. Jagger Neely went five innings of the nine inning game for the win moving to 9-1 on the year. He posted seven strikeouts with two earned runs on six hits. Hayden Robichaux followed with two innings of work and two strikeouts on two hits and no runs. Matthew Irwin worked the eighth with two strikeouts and no hits or runs and Jackson Jones finished the ninth with one strikeout, one run, and one hit. The pitching staff had 13 strikeouts on the day.

No. 3 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University claimed sole possession of the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title for the second straight year after splitting a doubleheader with Capital University as they dropped the first game by a score of 14-6 and won the second by a score of 4-1 at Fisher Field. BW (30-6, 14-2 OAC) fell to an early deficit in Game 1 after Capital (9-26, 3-13 OAC) came out swinging with a three-run second inning. The Brown and Gold answered back with three of their own but the Comets went on to outscore BW 11-3 down the stretch to pull off the in-conference upset. The Yellow Jackets bounced back in the second game after a pitcher's duel kept it scoreless until the fifth but BW was able to tack on three more runs leading to a series split.

Ithaca College opened their final Liberty League series against Hobart with a come from behind win, 3-2, on Friday in Gevena. With the win, IC is now 23-9 on the season and has clinched a No. 1 seed in next weekend's Liberty League Crossover Series. The Statesmen scored the first run of the game off a Bombers error in the second inning before tacking on another thanks to a sacrifice fly, taking a 2-0 lead into the third. IC answered back in the next half inning, as Nicholas Cutaia led off the inning with a single before a walk to Riley Brawdy moved Cutaia to second. Colin Shashaty would clear the bases thanks to a double to left field, tying the ballgame at 2-2 heading to the bottom of the third. Both teams' starters traded scoreless innings before Ithaca would take its first lead of the game, as Matt Curtis would double in Luis Fabbo in the top of the sixth inning, giving the Bombers a 3-2 lead going to the bottom of the sixth. Leyner would finish with 7.0 innings, allowing no earned run on three hits while striking out six Hobart batters as Conor Burns would come on to relieve him in the eighth. Burns would finish the final two innings, striking out three Hobart batters en route to his fifth save as the Bombers took down the Statesmen, 3-2.

Senior Christian Kreiser recorded two hits and picked up an RBI as Stevens Institute of Technology defeated No. 16 Misericordia 4-3 Friday afternoon in a MAC Freedom contest. Sophomore Erik Sibbach (9-2) picked up the win. He leads the conference in wins this season. He pitched seven innings and gave up three runs on four hits. He struck out two batters. Junior Joe Gonzalez (2) earned the save, pitching two innings and giving up no hits. The Ducks (22-12, 12-7 MAC Freedom) earned a huge conference win with the playoffs fastly approaching. With two wins tomorrow, Stevens can match their MAC Freedom win total from last season. Despite the win, Stevens will be on the road in the MAC Freedom semifinals due to the Arcadia win. The Ducks will be either the #3 or #4 seed and will visit either the Cougars or the Knights. With the win, Stevens improves to 9-14 all-time against the Cougars. The Ducks have now won the last two meetings after dropping the previous four. Misericordia lost just their second MAC Freedom game of the year, as they now sit at 17-2 in conference and 27-9 overall.
