Day 2 at the Division III World Series opened cool and cloudy, with four teams battling to stay alive for the 2013 championships. And Millsaps and Manchester were the ones who were sent packing, while Linfield and UW-Stevens Point advanced into the winner's bracket championship game on Sunday night.

Tim Locastro homered twice for Ithaca, in the first and ninth, while the Bombers added single runs in the third, fourth and sixth to win 5-2. John Prendergast went 7-1/3 innings for the Bombers to improve to 10-0 on the season. Ithaca awaits the loser of UW-Stevens Point and Kean in Sunday's middle game, slated for a 3:30 CT start.

Webster eliminated Manchester behind a complete-game outing from Isaac Behme to remain in the tournament. The Gorloks will face Southern Maine, which dropped a 10-1 decision to Linfield. Southern Maine needed a Division III World Series-record 10 pitchers to get out of the game after starter and ace Logan Carman could not get out of the first inning.

UW-Stevens Point earned another come-from-behind win with a 5-4 win over Kean to advance, scoring three times in the eighth inning, capped off by Dan Douglas' two-run single back through the middle to give the Pointers the lead

On Friday, Day 1 started at 10 a.m. and ended after midnight, with three thrilling games, including two 10-inning contests and a walk-off homer by a freshman. Check out all the coverage above.
