Nick Hart and Conrad Ziemendorf collided in left-center field in the first inning for Cortland. Neither was hurt, although the ball fell out of Hart's glove and went for a triple.

Monday in Appleton dawned with a clear sky and clear radar. What a beautiful sight! Finally, the tarp will stay on its roller and we'll get all of our scheduled games in.

Trinity (Texas) and Keystone advanced to the best-of-three Championship Series.

St. John Fisher and La Roche started the day with an elimination game, the one held over from Sunday night, and La Roche brought the bats out early, putting up crooked numbers in the third and fourth innings en route to a 9-6 victory. Check out the links and updated scores on the scoreboard page.

Austin Singer has returned to the lineup for Trinity (Texas) in the postseason after a second significant injury in his career. Erik Buchinger caught up with him for a World Series feature.

Cortland's title defense was cut down at the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning, as Keith Andrews was thrown out trying to score from first on a double. Trinity (Texas) will play for the title for the first time, as the Tigers won 5-2 and await the winner of Keystone and La Roche.

La Roche nearly forced an extra game to wrap up the bottom bracket, leading Keystone 4-3 with one out to go in the bottom of the ninth but the Giants rallied to tie and then walked off with the 5-4 win after David Lemley air-mailed a throw over the first baseman's head.
