Farmingdale, N.Y. - Senior starting pitcher C.J. Bula (Mohegan Lake, N.Y.) and sophomore relief pitcher Mike Dolce (St. James, N.Y.) combined for a 2-0 one-hit shutout on Saturday night against #14 Western New England at the St. Joseph's Tournament held in Farmingdale, N.Y.

Bula went 7.2 innings for the win, allowing just one hit while striking out nine. Dolce pitched 1.1 innings in relief for the save, striking out one with no hits.

The Rams scored runs in the fourth and sixth innings. In the fourth, senior catcher Frank Scarlato (Holbrook, N.Y.) had an RBI walk to score freshman shortstop Anthony Alvino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) for the go ahead run, 1-0. In the sixth, junior first baseman Ron Remi (Massapequa, N.Y.) score for the 2-0 lead.

Western New England spoiled the no-hitter in the top of the eighth with a single to right field, but the Rams would force the nationally ranked squad to six more outs and secure the victory.
