Farmingdale, N.Y. - Three Farmingdale State pitchers combined for a perfect game in game two to cap off a Skyline Conference sweep over NYU-Poly this afternoon. The Rams improved to 19-9 overall and 11-1 in Skyline play, while the Fighting Blue Jays fell to 3-14, 1-9.

In game one, Farmingdale State took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single up the middle by freshman right fielder Dan Luppens (Wading River, N.Y.).

In the fourth, a Brendan Sullivan (Plainview, N.Y.) RBI double to right field put Farmingdale State ahead 2-0. The Rams scored their final run of the game in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Michael Marino (Franklin Square, N.Y.)

Lupens was 2-for-4 at the plate with 1 RBI, while Marino was 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Freshman Cameron Kitt (Commack, N.Y.), freshman Kevin Martinez (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and junior Dominick Morelli (Massapequa, N.Y.) combined for the perfect game in game two.

Kitt (3-0) started and pitched three innings striking out three, Martinez pitched two innings with three strikeouts and Morelli threw the final two innings, striking out two.

Offensively, junior center fielder Edward Bergmann (East Meadow, N.Y.) was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and 2 RBI, while senior first baseman Ron Remi (Massapequa, N.Y.) was 2-for-2 with a run scored and 3 RBI.

Coach Osik now stands at 199 career wins after this afternoon's sweep.

Farmingdale State next will host Yeshiva on Friday, April 19th at 10:00 a.m.
