Sada, Myers Earn AMCC Athlete of the Week Honors

ERIE, Pa. - Two Penn State Behrend baseball players earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week honors for their accomplishments this past week.

Sophomores Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown and Phil Myers (DuBois, PA/DuBois Central Catholic) both had a great week in Florida to help the Behrend baseball team to a 6-1 record.

Sada earned Player of the Week after recording four multi-hit games including three three-hit games. He finished the week with a .481 batting average including an .852 slugging percentage. Sada added three doubles, two triples, a homerun, 12 RBI, and 10 runs scored. He also went a perfect three-for-three in stolen bases. On the mound, Sada earned the save against Widener and Elizabethtown.

Myers was strong on the mound for the Lions last week to earn him Pitcher of the Week honors. Myers allowed just six hits and struck out a total of 10 batters. He finished the week with a 1.46 ERA in 12.1 innings of action to earn two wins along the way.
