LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University baseball team survived an elimination game behind a complete game performance from Alex Schram on the mound to outlast Rockford.

Rockford was the home team in the contest and grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first with an unearned run
Benedictine struggled to get anything going offensively and did not record a hit until there were two outs in the sixth
Benedictine tied the game without a hit in the sixth when Jack Surin reached on an error, moved to second on a balk and third on a wild pitch
Kevin Bushnell evened the game with a groundout
Surin homered in the top of the eighth with one out to account for the winning run
Schram went the distance and did not allow an earned run, walking one and striking out six
