No. 3 seed Immaculata won their third straight Atlantic East Baseball title with an 8-6 victory over Cabrini. The Mighty Macs earn the Atlantic East Automatic Qualifier to the NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament. Selection show is scheduled for Monday, May 13th at noon.
Wash U got a win behind a gem on the mound from junior Sebastian Guzman but this was not the only outstanding pitching performance on Friday. Baruch, Dallas, Dubuque, Hood, Immaculata, RPI, Rowan and Simpson all pitched shutouts.

Weather and preparation for the Conference games this weekend produced a short slate of games. Teams like Immaculata, Farmingdale State and Johns Hopkins brought out stellar pitching and hot hitting to get wins on the day.
Immaculata secured the first Atlantic East Conference title in program history, taking down Marymount in a marathon game 5-1. The Macs battled mother nature to get the game in, coming out on top in the end while earning the conference championship.
Immaculata school officials announced the hiring of Josh Copskey as their new head coach in advance of the 2022 season. Copskey joins the Mighty Macs following a successful four-year run as head coach at nearby Penn State-Abington.
Marymount rolled to a win in the opener and will face Cabrini who surprised Immaculata in eastern Pennsylvania. In the western end of the state, La Roche had a chance to wrap up the AMCC title but Penn State-Behrend forced a winner-take-all game on Thursday.
Awards continue to roll in for Immaculata's Richard Fontanillas. Fontanillas was named to the D3baseball Team of the Week following an exceptional performance on Sunday evening at Shenandoah.
School officials announced that Bryan Torresani has been named head baseball coach at Arcadia on July 6th. He is the seventh head coach in the NCAA Division III era of the program.
