Middlebury tops Tufts for program’s third NESCAC title

Bixler powers Franklin to conference split

Hamm heads to ECSU as their new head coach
July 31, 2018Former Amherst head coach Brian Hamm has been named the seventh head coach in the 71-year history of the Eastern Connecticut State program. Hamm replaces Matt LaBranche, who resigned in June to become the director of athletics at WNE.

Smith to retire at conclusion of 2016 season
February 01, 2016Longtime Middlebury head coach Bob Smith will retire in May following the completion of the 2016 season. Smith is now in his 32nd year as the team's head coach, with over 800 games under his belt.

Leonard notches 200th win
Middlebury (8-7) downed Castleton 6-2 in its home-opener at Forbes Field on Tuesday afternoon. The win was head coach Mike Leonard's 200th in his career.

Middlebury gets title in comeback win
The Middlebury baseball team erased an 8-5 deficit in the top of the ninth inning, coming from behind to win the 2022 NESCAC Championship with a 12-8 triumph over Hamilton. The program's second conference crown came down to the seventh game of the weekend, as the Panthers dropped Sunday's first contest 17-3 to the Continentals. Middlebury improves to 29-12 and receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers will wait for their opponent when the field is announced Monday afternoon, while Hamilton (21-17) hopes to earn an at-large bid to the tournament.
