Augustana rapped out 14 hits and senior right-hander Ben Heaton had a fine outing in an 11-2 game one win as the 23-ranked Vikings earned a doubleheader split at North Central. North Central fought off a furious Augustana rally in the nightcap, winning 8-7.

Rhode Island College scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to earn the 7-6 walk-off triumph over Worcester State in non-conference action at Anchorman Field. With Rhode Island  trailing by 6-1 entering the top of the sixth, Kyle Morvan and Kyle Mann combined for four scoreless frames of two-hit relief to help the hosts post the come-from-behind victory.

Webster extended its winning streak to 12 games and kept hold of first place in the SLIAC with a doubleheader sweep at Westminster (Mo.) in Fulton, MO.  The Gorloks rolled in the opener, 11-1, and won the nightcap, 3-0, to remain undefeated in the SLIAC. On the mound, Isaac Behme and Zach Schneider, welcomed back to the rotation after a year's absence, gave the Gorloks two quality starts.

SUNY Oneonta scored three runs in the top of the ninth, as New Paltz State dropped a 3-1 decision to the Red Dragons in a SUNYAC matchup and the Hawks' home opener at Loren Campbell Memorial Field.

The Alma Scots continued their 2013 season when they traveled to Olivet for a MIAA doubleheader. Alma dropped game one by the close score of 2-1 before coming back in the nightcap to beat Olivet 5-1.

Bridgewater sophomore lefty Corey Armentrout turned in a strong starting performance on the mound to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 ODAC victory over Shenandoah at Bridgeforth Field. Corey Armentrout worked seven innings and allowed one run on five hits. He struck out six and walked two. Nick Corbin worked the final two innings to record the saves. He allowed no runs on three hits while walking one batter.

Hampden-Sydney completed a season sweep of defending ODAC Champion Lynchburg with an 8-3 victory. The Tigers recorded 18 hits to Lynchburg's eight. Junior righty Hunter Lewis picked up the win after allowing three runs on eight hits in seven innings. He struck out six batters while walking just two. Billy Nixon then closed out the game with two shutout innings.

Senior Ryan Zakszeski went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs to lead No. 11 Johns Hopkins to a 6-3 victory over Dickinson in Centennial Conference action. Johns Hopkins scored three runs in the second and added a pair in the final two frames to win their 11th consecutive game and seventh straight against Dickinson. Freshman hurler Colin Friedman won his second career game, fanning six and allowing just one earned run in 6.1 innings.

Carthage opened Augie Schmidt Field by splitting a doubleheader with CCIW-opponent North Park.  The Vikings won the first game, 4-1, but the Red Men scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to take the nightcap by a 6-5 margin.

Eight New Jersey City University pitchers combined on a four-hitter as the Gothic Knights pounded out 14 hitters on a cold, windy afternoon and won a non-conference  game against a school from Madison, NJ for the second consecutive day as NJCU blew by FDU-Florham, 9-2, at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.

Freshman Sam Dexter went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs to lead Southern Maine past the Endicott Gulls, 5-1, in a non-conference game at North Field. Dexter went deep in the sixth and seventh innings for his first two career home runs.  He also singled up the middle in the third to complete his third three-hit game of the season.

Otterbein ran its OAC record to 3-1, notching a doubleheader sweep at rival Heidelberg. The Cardinals won by scores of 4-3 and 4-2, improving their overall record to 16-4 as a result. Heidelberg, meanwhile, falls to 13-8 overall and 2-2 against the league. Senior Wes Meadows hit successfully in both games on the day to set a new school record 26-game hitting streak.

Swarthmore extended its winning streak to seven games and put the rest of the Centennial Conference on notice by defeating No. 25 Haverford 9-7 on a cold and windy afternoon at Clothier Field. Swarthmore's offensive prowess was led by a two-hit, three-RBI afternoon from sophomore left fielder Trevor Shepherd. Junior third baseman Cody Ruben and senior right fielder Tim Kwilos each picked up three hits. The win is just the Garnet's third over a nationally-ranked opponent and first since a doubleheader sweep of Johns Hopkins in 2011.

First-year pitcher Dylan Callahan entered the game with one out and runners at first and second in the top of the first inning and allowed just one run and five hits with five strikeouts and two walks to earn his first career win and lead the Trinity (Conn.) Bantams to a 5-3 victory over the visiting Keene State Owls.

Washington & Jefferson totaled 22 runs on 25 hits during a PAC doubleheader sweep of Waynesburg at Ross Memorial Park. The Presidents cruised 9-2 in game one before rolling to a 13-4 victory in the nightcap. The Presidents gave junior right hander Eddie Nogay a 9-0 lead and he cruised to his fifth victory. Nogay’s scoreless inning streak came to an end at 17.2 innings after Clay Roman plated a run with a fifth-inning single. Randy Risch earned the win in game on, his first win of the spring.
