Dennis Duplessis smacked a two-run single down the left field line in the bottom of the 11th inning to propel Worcester State past Bridgewater State, 8-7, in the first round of the MASCAC tournament. Tyler Adams and Matt Ferrelli combined for six hits and four RBI to lead third-seeded Westfield State to an 8-3 victory over sixth-seeded Mass-Maritime. Worcester State and Westfield State continue to the double-elimination round at Salem State on Friday.

Rookie Ryan Kelley found the hole between second and third to push Kean past Richard Stockton, 7-6, in 11 innings in round two of the NJAC Tournament. Rookie Chris Amato earned the win with a stellar relief appearance. Amato allowed just four singles in four and two thirds innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Junior lefty Mike Weinhold threw his second straight two-hit shutout and broke the single-season strikeout record leading top-seeded Alvernia to a 4-0 win over #4 Widener in game one of the Commonwealth Conference Baseball Championship at Owls Field. Weinhold recorded 14 strikeouts, his fourth straight game with double digit Ks, and reached 97 for the season surpassing the previous record held by Alvernia Hall of Famer Todd Meyer who struck out 96 in 2002.

Completing one of the most dramatic comebacks in the history of Augsburg, the Auggies rallied from a 12-1, fifth-inning deficit to score a 13-12, walk-off victory over Hamline, completing a MIAC doubleheader sweep. Trailing 12-1 entering the bottom of the fifth inning, Augsburg scored 10 runs in the frame, then scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to claim the sweep of Hamline, capped when Paul Hallgren hit a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh, driving home Ryan Sward. Augsburg claimed a 3-1 victory in the first game, taking advantage of a complete-game victory by Erren Cur.

Senior Alex Wong threw a complete game, while junior Jon Spitz and sophomore Joe Hulme had a pair of hits apiece as the fifth-seeded Wentworth upset second-seeded Endicott, 5-1, in the opening round of the 2013 CCC Tournament. The Leopards will travel to third-seeded Salve Regina for a second round game on Friday. The Seahawks defeated Roger Williams, 11-5. The Gulls see their nine-game win streak come to an end and looks to stave off elimination when it hosts sixth-seeded Curry, which was defeated, 11-0, by top seeded Western New England.

Fifth seeded Ramapo advanced in the NJAC baseball tournament with a, 10-6 win over No. 6 The College of New Jersey at Jeff Maund Field. Dave Jacob was 4-for-5 with three runs scored to lead the Roadrunner offense.

Washington & Jefferson took advantage of four Frostburg State errors and topped the Bobcats 7-5 in non-conference action from Ross Memorial Park. The Presidents upped their record to 23-11 this spring, while Frostburg State's record dropped to 25-15.

The Minnesota Morris Cougars swept Crown. The Cougars won 17-5 in game one and 19-9 in game two. It was the first wins for the Cougars in the UMAC this season.

Trine split their opening series with Adrian, falling in game one 2-1 before coming back in the nightcap with a 6-4 victory. Adrian is now two games ahead of Hope for the lead in the MIAA.
