Winning their seventh consecutive College Conference or Illinois and Wisconsin Regular Season Title, North Central College staved off a late comeback attempt by Elmhurst University to earn their 28th victory of the season, and improve to 13-2. Head coach Ed Mathey has now led his squad to a conference title in each of his first seven seasons back at the helm and is the tenth CCIW title of his career. This is the Cardinals' 17th CCIW Title in program history. Entering the game in the ninth inning was Jason Shanner, who faced the heart of the Bluejay lineup. With runners on second and third, Elmhurst pushed their first run across on a wild pitch and brought the score to 3-2 with an RBI single. After a mound visit with coach Mathey, Shanner struck out Zachary Halfner to secure the 3-2 win and earn his sixth save of the season. Charlie Klemm struck out eight batters in his five innings of work, tying the all-time record for career strikeouts with 238. He picked up his team-high seventh win of the season. At the plate, Wojcik tallied two hits, a run, and an RBI on the day.

Heidelberg University used 15 hits to topple host Defiance College on Sunday, 13-7. The Student Princes hit another three home runs, running their program-record total to 51 with two games remaining on the schedule. Adam McVicker hit a pair of home runs and finished with six RBI. Seth Scoville homered for the second consecutive day. McVicker's first home run was a grand slam in the second inning that put HU on top 4-0. After Defiance added two in the seventh, HU capped the scoring when Robert Hunt singled in Scoville in the eighth. Corbin Caplan (2-3) earned the win, going five full innings, fanning two.

St. John Fisher College celebrated its senior day on Sunday with a pair of wins as the Cardinals closed out their conference slate with a sweep of Keuka College at Dugan Yard. With the wins, Fisher, which has wrapped up the Empire 8 Regular Season Championship and the right to host the postseason tournament, improved to 26-12 overall and 18-2 in league play while the Wolves fell to 15-19-1 and 7-12-1, respectively. In all, Fisher mashed 19 hits in the win led by Noah Campanelli who was 4-for-5 with a triple, two doubles and three RBI. Nick Lemire was 3-for-5 in the win while Ben Lavery was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Brian Norsen had two hits in four at-bats including the home run and three RBI.

Ithaca College celebrated its senior day with a win and a sweep over Clarkson on Sunday, May 1 at Freeman Field. The Bombers jumped out to an early lead and closed out late pressure on their way to a 7–3 victory. IC is now 25-10 on the season heading into its final regular season game on May 3. Colin Leyner threw six strong innings giving up one run and striking out six batters. Louis Fabbo and David Cifonelli each recorded two RBI on two hits for the Bombers. Riley Brawdy also caused Clarkson trouble going 3–3 at the plate and scoring three runs.

The University of Scranton (26-9-1, 12-4 Landmark) broke open a 5-3 game with 12 runs in the sixth inning en route to an 18-5 victory over the Juniata Eagles (13-21, 5-12) in Sunday's series finale at Langdon-Goodale Field in Huntingdon. Juniata trailed 5-3 and had the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the fifth, but senior lefty Ryan Heiser got back to back strikeouts of John Karcher and Joey Allegrini to end the inning and notch his first win of the season. In the afore-mentioned 12-run sixth, the Royals sent 17 batters to the plate and seven different players drove in runs including a two-run triple from graduate student Connor Harding that made it 8-3 at the time. From there, senior Jake Lisicky, junior Anthony Tramonte and graduate student Kevin Johnson all delivered RBI singles in the inning as Johnson's run-scoring single capped things off with a 17-3 lead. With the win on Sunday, the Royals have matched the program's single-season wins record of 26 that was set during the 2008 season. Scranton currently sits second in the Landmark Conference standings with two conference games remaining. The top four teams in the conference will qualify for the Landmark Tournament that will be held May 13-15 at Volpe Field.

No. 1 ranked Marietta College closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 13-0 victory over Hanover College Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Park. The Pioneers, winners of 21 straight games, improves to 35-3 on the season. Hanover falls to 16-18 overall. Marietta scored nine runs, all with two outs, in the bottom of the first inning. Brett Carson (6-1) got the win after tossing five shutout innings. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out seven.

Mount Saint Mary College closed out the 2022 season in strong fashion Sunday afternoon, posting 12-0 and 11-0 victories over Yeshiva on Senior Day. Brian Gregory worked a complete game shutout in game one, earning his first career victory. Five Mount Saint Mary pitchers combined on the shutout in game two, with Anthony Caminitti picking up the win. He worked 3.0 innings, picking up his second career win, allowing just one hit and striking out three. Nick Torres struck out the side in a scoreless inning of relief work.

Drew University closed its 2022 on a high note, sweeping a non-conference doubleheader from Rosemont College on Senior Day Sunday afternoon at Doc Young Field. The Rangers captured the opener 9-4, then erupted for a 22-1 victory in the nightcap. With the wins, Drew closes out the season on a four-game winning streak. All five Ranger seniors made their presence felt on Sunday, including Cole Bosch, who finished the twinbill 5-for-6 with five runs and four RBIs. In the opener, the Rangers trailed twice but rallied to score the final six runs of the game. Four of Drew's seniors made significant contributions, including Tim Jinks, who tossed five innings to pick up his first career win. He retired five of the last six batters he faced and finished with four strikeouts. Bosch went 2-for-2 with three RBIs while seniors Shane Benson and Justin Melick each drove in a run. In the second game, the Rangers scored eight runs in two different innings, including the first, which included six hits and three errors.

On a sunny and picture perfect senior day, several University of Rochester seniors had standout games in a 12-3 victory over the Rochester Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon to close out the regular season. The victory closes out the weekend series, with Rochester winning two of the three games. UR ends the regular season with a 27-9 overall record and league-best 14-3 mark in conference games. RIT drops to 17-17 overall and is 7-10 in Liberty League contests. In relief of Van Allen, grad student Jake Larson tossed three solid innings on the mound. He allowed three hits and one run while striking out a season-high four batters. Offensively, seniors Brian McKinsey and Harper Sy led the Yellowjackets with three hits each. McKinsey drove in three RBI and had two runs and two steals, while Sy launched the home run and added two runs and two RBI.

Washington & Jefferson College completed a three-game series sweep with a 9-4 win over Thiel College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game Sunday afternoon at Ross Memorial Park. The three-game series sweep was the sixth of the season for W&J, who improves to 22-1 in conference play and 29-7 overall. Thiel falls to 14-22 overall and 10-14 in the league. W&J had a strong offensive performance in the second inning that would give the Presidents the early secure lead. Thiel would be the first to score as they recorded an unearned run in the top of the second. The Tomcats lead did not last long as W&J scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the frame. All six W&J runs in the second inning were scored with two outs.

Pfeiffer University completed the three-game road sweep of Mary Baldwin on Sunday, taking a 17-14 win in Staunton, Va. Pfeiffer battered Mary Baldwin pitching to the tune of 20 hits and scored 17 runs to take a 17-14 win. The Falcons hit five doubles in the game, one each from Lackey, Ferrell, Morton, Bell and Evans., with both Ferrell and Evans collecting four RBI. Ferrell, Evans and Marsh each had home runs un game two, with Ferrell's blast being a two run shot. Evans' round-tripper was a solo blast while Marsh also collected a two-run blast. Chris Mauck earned the pitching win for Pfeiffer, throwing six innings, striking out a pair and giving up six earned runs.

Carthage College (11-23) split a Sunday non-conference doubleheader with Eureka College (16-18) at Henry Sand Field in Eureka, Ill. The Red Devils won the first game, 10-4, in seven innings with the Firebirds taking the nightcap, 4-3, in nine innings. Nathan Garard (5-4) was the winning pitcher for Eureka, and he allowed four runs, all earned, on six hits, three walks and five strikeouts over six innings. Pitcher Troy Siranovic started the game for the Firebirds and limited the Red Devils to two runs on five hits and three walks over four and two-thirds innings. James Lindenmuth (1-1) picked up the win and allowed just one run four hits, no walks and five strikeouts over the final four and one-third innings.

The No. 9 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater extended its winning streak to 12 games and maintained its first place standing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Sunday with two wins against UW-Stout in a doubleheader at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium. The Warhawks (27-6 overall, 19-3 WIAC), who hold a two-game lead in the loss column with six games to play, defeated the Blue Devils 7-1 in the first game before capping the day with an 8-3 win in Game 2. Muir (8-1) struck out 11 batters over seven innings before being relieved by Cade Berendt, who tossed a 1-2-3 eighth inning. Nick Rector struck out the side in a perfect ninth. Kade Lancour improved to 7-0 on the mound with an eight-inning, seven-strikeout performance. Rector pitched around a two-out double for a scoreless ninth.

Wilmington College split an Ohio Athletic Conference twinbill with Muskingum University on Sunday, falling 10-8 in game one and rebounding to win the nightcap 18-2 in seven innings. The Fightin' Quakers also honored their seniors prior to the games. Trailing 7-2, Muskingum blew the game wide open with a seven-run sixth inning that featured four hits and a Quaker error to flip a five-run deficit into two-run lead. Wilmington would plate a run in the bottom of the seventh on a wild pitch, but wouldn't again as the visitors took game one. The Quakers out-hit the Muskies 15-10 in the game, but Wilmington allowed 13 free passes (10 walks and three hit batters) that proved to be the difference. The nightcap began just as game one did, with multiple Quakers reaching base, but this time, there wouldn't be a pick-off or a double play to save the Muskies. Wilmington batted around and then some, sending 15 batters to the plate. In total, the Quakers plated nine runs on nine hits that included three Musky errors. Wilmington pounded 19 hits in the game with eight Quakers entering the hit column.

Fourth-ranked LaGrange took its USA South series from Huntingdon with a 9-4 win Sunday at Posey Field. The Panthers also locked up the top seed in the West Division for the upcoming conference tournament. The four-time defending champions will host the four-team Bracket #2 of the tournament starting Thursday at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium. The Panthers play fourth-seeded William Peace, while second-seeded Methodist and third-seeded Covenant meet in day's second game. The Panthers (33-5, 15-3 USA South) got home runs from Gabriel Pallo and McKinley Erves as part of a six-run fourth inning. Freshman reliever Jacob Brown threw a season-high of 5-1/3 scoreless innings to close out the game and raise his record to 7-0.

A solo home run by Catholic University junior Ben Nardi in the seventh inning powered the Cardinals to a three-game sweep of Susquehanna Sunday, 8-6. As a result, the Cardinals (28-10, 14-4 LC) currently hold a one game lead over Scranton for the top seed in the 2022 Landmark Conference Championship. The Royals, who finished a three-game sweep of Juniata Sunday, have two conference games remaining at home beginning on Monday against Susquehanna and concluding on Saturday, May 7 versus Moravian. If Scranton wins both games, they will be tied with Catholic atop the Landmark Conference standings, but hold the tiebreaker by virtue of winning two out of three against the Cardinals this season. As for Sunday, the Cardinals trailed 4-3 after five before scoring three in the sixth and one in the seventh to go ahead for good, 7-4.

Junior Ben Koomey threw 6.2 hitless innings of relief to lead Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to a come-from-behind 6-4 victory over Union College, on Sunday afternoon at Robison Field at Karl Steffen Ballpark. With the win, the Engineers improve to 14-16 overall (6-10 Liberty League), while the Dutchmen drop to 14-16 (8-10 Liberty League). Rensselaer then took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth, scoring a pair of runs. With one out and runners on first and second, Joe Curci singled up the middle to drive in his second run of the game and tie the contest at 4-4. With runners now on the corners, freshman Ayush Krishnappa dropped down a squeeze bunt that plated senior Jack Moncur for a 5-4 lead. Martin Marinchev added an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh, launching his third home run of the year to deep left.

Sophomore center fielder AJ Guindon (Coventry, R.I.) hit a walkoff RBI single in the 11th inning to give Wheaton College (Mass.) an 8-7 victory over visiting Western New England University this afternoon at Sidell Stadium on the Wheaton campus in Norton, Mass. The Lyons win their 13th straight game to improve to 26-10 on the season, while the Golden Bears drop to 16-16-1. The current win streak is tied for the fifth-longest in NCAA Division III this season and the fifth-longest in school history. Wheaton is also riding a 23-game home win streak, which is the second-longest in the nation among DIII schools. The Lyons faced a pair of two-run deficits after the eighth inning and came back from both of them, scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extra innings and three runs in the 11th to win the contest.

Husson University completed a North Atlantic Conference four game sweep of the Beavers of the University of Maine at Farmington with a doubleheader sweep on senior day at the Harold Alfond Diamond. The Eagles came from behind to win game one, 5-1, before pitching a one-hitter in a 3-0 game two victory. The Eagles (21-15, 13-1 NAC) trailed game one until the sixth inning when they scored five runs to steal the victory away from the Beavers (8-25, 6-9 NAC). Senior Kobe Rogerson led off the inning with a single then stole second as senior Ethan Stoddard drove him home with a single down the right field line. Stoddard, with a tie game, stole second and advanced to third on an error before freshman Ty Knowlton drove him home with a single. With two runners in scoring position; senior Nick Swift broke open the game with a two-run single and senior Tyler Parke brought him home with a sacrifice fly. It was a staff day for the Eagles in game two as sophomore Harrison Lendrum took care of the first inning. Senior Hunter O'Connor, sophomores Zain Fitzsimmons and Jackson Thayer, as well as freshmen Ryne Rametta and Matt Wallingford each pitched an inning allowing a combined zero hits and one walk. Sophomore Ryan Robb pitched a perfect seventh inning for his fourth save of the season.

New England College wrapped up their home regular-season schedule with a sweep of the University of Maine Presque Isle. After taking game one 12-2, the Pilgrims completed the doubleheader, winning the second game 4-1 Sunday afternoon. The Pilgrims started fast as they plated six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Shawn Sears picked up the win for the Pilgrims, as he struck out five over 3.0 innings of work. Maine Presque Isle took their first lead of the afternoon in the top of the second inning, as Bailey Corley hit a solo home run over the left-field fence. Connor Morin took the lead for the Pilgrims with authority, as he hit a two-run home run to right-center field in the bottom of the third inning. New England College pushed their lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth, as they plated two runs in the frame. Ryan Hughes stole home on a double steal with Kyle Dobrie before scoring on a single to left-field by Ribaudo.

Heading into Sunday's regular season finale, Maritime College knew that the only way to guarantee a place in the Skyline Conference Tournament would be to sweep its doubleheader against Purchase. And that's exactly what the Privateers did. Niko Concha threw an eight-hit shutout in the opener, a 5-0 victory. Maritime (22-12, 12-8 Skyline) then defeated Purchase (11-23, 7-13 Skyline) 13-2 in game two at Reinhart Baseball Field to officially wrap up a playoff spot. Purchase loaded the bases with one out in the top of the sixth, but Concha got a double play ground ball to end the inning. In the top of the seventh, the Panthers again loaded the bases on three consecutive singles. After Concha struck out Trevor Zanderzuk, James Shea flied to right for the final out. The shutout was his third of the year, and Concha finished the regular season with a perfect 7-0 record. In the bottom of the sixth of game two, Maritime put up a seven-spot to break the game open. Needing a triple for the cycle, Travis Zurita followed with a knock into the left field corner. He stopped at second on the play, though, settling for an RBI double and a 4-for-4 game.

Saint John's (Minn.) vaulted into second place in the MIAC standings with a high-scoring, doubleheader sweep of Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter. SJU (21-15, 13-5 MIAC) won the opener, 13-4, and jumped out to a 14-1 lead in game two en route to a 23-11 victory in seven innings (10-run rule). The Johnnies batted .465 (20-for-43) with runners in scoring position and out-hit the Gusties (22-9, 9-5 MIAC) 32-19, including 10 extra-base hits: five doubles, two triples and three home runs. In the field, SJU turned five double plays on the day, including four in game two. Senior right fielder Soren Roe batted 6-for-9 with two doubles and eight RBI on the day. He now has 21 RBI over his last five games. Junior second baseman Owen Dauk went 5-for-9 with five runs scored to extend his on-base streak to 24 games. He was hit twice to break his tie with Scott Demorett '97 for SJU's hit-by-pitch record with 33 in his career.
